In the wake of recent disaster, Nightfall Tower stands as the final stronghold of the Sun's Birth. Located in the very heart of their remaining sliver of territory, Nightfall Tower is an imposing structure that was erected in the era immediately following the Valterrian. According to local legend, Nightfall Tower was once the largest of a series of towers that circumvented the city. In times of trouble, the masses would flock to these towers and seek refuge in the network of tunnels which laid just beyond their lowermost levels.

With conflict and the passage of time came the destruction of those towers, leaving Nightfall Tower as a relic of the past. In the modern era, the Sun's Birth has re-purposed this ancestral structure into the seat of its power. It is from this very location that the upper echelon of the organization meets in order to discuss future machinations and dole out new orders. As such, Nightfall Tower is easily the most heavily guarded building in the whole of Sunberth; especially due to the fact that Nightfall Tower also acts as the Warmarshal's personal residence.

At present, Nightfall Tower is home to a regular patrol of Dragoons and houses a host of able-bodied men to defend the organization's heart from all enemies. Guards are posted at every entrance whilst archers overlook the city from above. Very few are afforded the rare opportunity to enter within Nightfall Tower, let alone ascend to the upper levels where the Council convenes. However, should one be deemed worthy enough of conducting business with the Sun's Birth, all meetings with said parties would take place here.

Additional Info: The name Jardeg Joander is one that is both praised and cursed. Having been literally born into the arms of the Syliran Knights, Joander was raised and molded to epitomize the values of order and justice above all else. For many years, he dedicated himself to the Knights' cause and soared through the ranks due to his exceptional service. However, upon being failed by the very Order that he so loved, he defected and set his sights upon saving the city of Sunberth from itself. But just like the organization that he has created, Joander's ideals have faltered after many years of hardship and trouble. He has become fixated on vengeance against the Daggerhands and Night Eyes, haunted by the ghosts of his slaughtered brothers and sisters. Dedicated to Wysar's principles of strict discipline in the face of danger, Joander fearlessly pushes the organization to new heights while his original goals of liberation grow increasingly muddled.

Additional Info: Dinah Brand was once a young Squire whose place was under the direct command of Jardeg Joander. For the totality of her training, there was always speculation as to whether or not she had what it took to ascend to the mantle of Syliran Knight. However, all doubt came to a screeching halt the day Jardeg saved her life during a bandit raid. From that moment forward, Dinah became fiercely loyal to Joander and dedicated herself to a single goal: growing into a weapon for him to wield. Years upon years of effort culminated with the honing of her skills to a deadly level; and through this her goal was realized and became a knight herself. To date, she followed her commanding officer in his defection from the Syliran Knights and faithfully stood by his side during the creation of the Sun's Birth. Now, as his personal enforce and protector, Dinah stands ready to lay down her life for Joander...and to put down any dog who would dare attempt to take it.

AUDIENCES

For those individuals who are not members of the organization, yet seek to do business or form alliances, a meeting with the upper echelon may be possible. Of course, to request such a meeting would require a reputation of some repute within the city and, most importantly, something to offer the Sun's Birth. Audiences are not simply offered to any man, woman, or child roaming the streets after all! At any time before nightfall, an audience with the leadership of the Sun's Birth may be requested. (Please consult your local ST in order to hammer out the specifics of a meeting; as these will need to be moderated.)

UNDERGROUND ACCESS

Located within the basement of Nightfall Tower is an access point to the extensive system of tunnels underneath Sunberth. Those who are members of the Sun's Birth are free to utilize this access point and to explore the underground, but the faction's influence soon wanes deeper into the mining tunnels.
