Ever since the creation of the Sun's Birth, the maintenance of its militant arm has always been a top priority. To this end, members of the Dragoons were once put through rigorous training regimines at the old Training Grounds; yet fate would see this practice come to an end. Having been literally ran out of the Gated Community, the Sun's Birth was forced to retreat to a small sliver of territory on the western edge of town. Here, the Dragoons had to make due with an ancient structure that would now serve as their new training yard.

And thus, the Proving Grounds were born.

Consisting of two major areas, the Proving Grounds is easily one of the most frequented structures within the Sun's Refuge. The first area makes up the northern half of the compound and is characterized by a small arena. Here, members of the Dragoons are pitted against one another and their instructors in the name of personal growth...and demonstrating superiority. Immediately adjacent to the arena is a yard characterized by several training dummies, posts, and archery targets. Here, group training sessions are undertaken and vital disciplines are imparted to the students.

Surprisingly enough, this establishment is open to the public! Upon being checked for the tell-tale signs of gang affiliation, such as tattoos, brands, and jewelry, denizens of Sunberth may pay to participate in training sessions alongside the Dragoons. Of course, following the calamity that ran the organization out of its former seat of power, the Dragoons are quite wary of the masses of late. For this reason, the uppermost levels of training are reserved for actual members of the organization; in addition to impressive discounts on said sessions.

As a whole, the Proving Grounds is a place dedicated to the growth of its patrons through blood, sweat, and true grit.

Additional Info: Itzel the Swift was born alongside her twin sibling, Eleuia, within the city of Syliras. As an illegitimate child of a Knight and a Myrian Sellsword, early life was the definition of challenging. However, upon becoming of age, Itzel elected to follow in the footsteps of her sire and enter the Syliran Knights. For years, she then served the Order until eventually coming under the command of Jardeg Joander approximately twenty years in the past. Upon his defection, Itzel followed her commanding officer to Sunberth and took it upon herself to assume one of the more vital roles in the budding organization. She, as one of the Dragoons' Marshals, would see to the training of every single individual to take up the organization's banner. To date, she diligently accomplishes this task to the letter; and does so in a matter that is relentless. Itzel is incredibly demanding of her subordinates and will push them to their absolute limit time and time again. Those who fail to meet her standards often find themselves dismissed from the organization...yet those who meet her expectations earn a rare treasure: her respect.

Additional Info: Although born only minutes after her sister, Eleuia is often reminded that she is the youngest of the two. For the majority of her life, Eleuia has followed after the footsteps of her sister; even when her desires conflicted with Itzel's goals. Her seemingly blind loyalty to her sibling led her to enter the Syliran Knights, yet she was deemed unworthy to ascend to full knighthood after some time. Surprisingly, this did not result in sorrow on Eleuia's part; but strangely enough...relief! It was then that Eleuia struck out on her own and became a Sellsword like her mother. Fate would have it that her trade would see her to settle in Sunberth; where she was eventually reunited with her elder sibling. Upon hearing about the budding Sun's Birth and the role her sister would play, Eleuia promptly joined in order to assist her. From that point forward, she has served as her sibling's right hand in all matters; and currently is the secondary instructor at the Proving Grounds. Unlike her relentless sibling, Eleuia demonstrates patience when training with her students and prefers one on one sessions to improve problem areas. However, just like Itzel, failure is not an option and will result in expulsion from the organization.

Under the guidance of Itzel and Eleuia, training sessions come in one of two forms. Group training sessions consist of Itzel's leading a congregation of, at least, sixteen students through a variety of exercises. These sessions generally last three Bells and are generally carried out through pairing up students against one another. On the other hand, individual training sessions are Eleuia's area of expertise and typically last a single Bell. While Itzel focuses on instilling broader concepts, Eleuia focuses on eliminating the individual weaknesses of the student.
