+ Likes and Dislikes + Ever the inquisitive soul, Claudia loves learning and discovering new stuff. A fan of acrobatics and fighting, she revels in any form of combat. Be it the longsword, longbow or the her limbs, she loves and enjoy each and everyone of them. She is also a great fan of adventures, still remember the interesting tales of escapades told to her by her retired mercenary father. She relished every single one of them that she was told. Her favourite colours include white, and earthy colours such as shades of brown and green. The colour of her clothing usually reflects her preferences. Claudia also loves meeting new people and making new friends. She has always had a strong dislike for warm weather, and so that tends to make her wear as few clothing as she possibly can, hoping to lessen the discomfort brought along by the heat and perspiration. She also strongly dislikes rude and mean people, who have no consideration towards others. |
+ Phyiscal Characteristics + With smooth and tanned skin that looked like it had been kissed by the sun, she has the occasional freckle here and there, her features, soft and delicate. Although she has a constant look of cheeriness, there are plenty of occasions where this expression turns into one of mischief and bashfulness. Her hair frames her face nicely as it falls past her shoulders, ending slightly past her ample bosom. Her luscious locks are a shade of golden brown, imbued with the warm coppery hues of autumn appearing within. Dark chocolate brown highlights can also be seen throughout. During the day, there are occasions where she pulls back the sides and fringe into a ponytail caressing her upper back. Otherwise, she simply wears her hair loose. As for other more relaxing occasions, she wears her hair loose as well, letting it frame her face, amplifying her features. Her face is youthful and bubbly, giving off an impression that she may actually be younger than she actually is. Her chin is slightly pointed, and her eyes a shade of hazel green that reminded one of the greens of spring. Her exuberant nature emits a warm and healthy glow around her that seems to radiate throughout her entire body. Slightly taller than the average human female, she stands at one hundred and seventy centimeters tall, and weighs around sixty-five kilograms. Blessed with an ample bosom and an equally curvy rear, she owes much of her weight to her curves and muscles. Her figure is curvy yet toned, conditioned by her training and activities. While it may not look like it, she is tougher than she appears to be. Those who judge her to quickly to be weak, will be in for a nasty surprise that they will not soon forget. Her preferred choices of attire are figure-hugging clothing that accentuates her curves. Initially, her dressing was rather modest when she was younger; embarrassed at the attention she received. Now, much older, she has grown over the bashfulness and has learnt to embrace her curves. The only clothing she owns for the time being so far are the same pair of blouse and breeches that she has worn for several years. They have grown worn, tattered and tighter over the course of use, as she grew, bringing out her curves for all to see. + Character Concept + Claudia has always been curious, taking every single opportunity she could to explore and discover within the walls of the fortress of peace. As she grew adventurous, these adventures extended to beyond the city walls. These were encouraged by her father, as long as she knew how to take care of herself. As she was gradually exposed to the outer world, that curiosity evolved into a desire to explore further, meet new people and see new things. Friendly and outgoing, she loves making new friends, and meeting people of all races, from all walks of life. She does not discriminate, and treats everyone equally. More of a follower than a leader, she is not one who craves being in the spotlight. While she is not mindful of being the centre of attention, she does not seek it. Headstrong and determined, once she has put her mind to a task, she will do whatever it takes to accomplish it. She is not one who gives up easily. Blessed with a kind and magnanimous nature, she does not hold grudges or grievances, unless it is something that affects her strongly. Expressive and emotional, she tends to use a variety of hand gestures and expressions in her speech to convey her thoughts and ideas. Prone to being over-emotional at times, her sense of judgment can be impaired, clouded by the ever-flowing emotions. She has been highly independent from young, and has learnt to take care of herself pretty well. Born with any siblings and few friends, she hopes to change the latter in the future. Longing for companionship, she is always on the lookout for someone that she can click with, laugh with and joke with. She is currently applying to be a mercenary, just like her father once was. |
+ Backstory + Born to a Blacksmith and his wife, Marcus and Camilla felt very blessed to have a child. Claudia led a stable and contended life. Growing up near a forge with a blacksmith as a father had its advantages. As the only child, Marcus saw how entranced his daughter was by the clinking and clanking of the forge, so he gradually taught her the tools of the trade as she came of age. In the beginning, the young Claudia stood close by, watching him and the rest of the forge-hands attentively as they laboured around the smith, crafting all sorts of metal items from metal household wares to weapons and armours for the city. As she got older, she began helping around the smith, assisting her father in the forging of metalwork. All that changed one fateful day. While delivering a newly crafted weapon, she chanced upon a parade of Syliran Knights returning triumphantly from a successful quest. Her eyes were transfixed with the mesmerising sight, the moment forever etched in memory. All thoughts of being the best blacksmith ever were washed away and swiftly replaced with those of being one of the knights someday. Her awe-filled face crept into a smile when a knight raised his visor, and waved to her. The procession only lasted several minutes, but the memory of the event stayed with her forever. Later that night, she began thinking of the event earlier that day. She informed her parents the next morning of her decision to join the order as a squire. Although her father was initially vehemently opposed to it, he finally came to see reason after several days of convincing and sleeping over it. Convinced that it was really what his daughter wanted, and not just a fleeting moment of fancy, he finally relented. Overjoyed, Claudia squealed as she hugged the burly blacksmith. It was also then that her father revealed to her that he was once a successful mercenary in his younger days, well-versed in swordplay but eventually retired when he met the woman who would become his wife and settled down in the city as a blacksmith. He then remarked that If she was going to be a squire, she had better learn to fight, both with a sword and shield and a crossbow. "You'll always need a range weapon at one point or another". He would say. Starting at the crack of dawn for the next few seasons, she learned the various ways of fighting with a sword and shield. Then the longbow. Her preferred blade of choice would be the gladius. The very same type of weapon her father once used. And when the weapon trainings were finished for the day, he began imparting whatever he knew about surviving in the forests in the wild. Her training sessions rotated between the two until she was armed with a basic understanding of the sword and shield and the longbow, her lessons on riding began. Her father had loaned a horse from one of his friends who owned the city stables, and began to teach her the basics of riding a horse. When he was satisfied that she could ride decently enough without falling, he finally approved the end of training, sending her off to be a squire. And just like that, a new journey of her life began. But all fairy tales needed to come to an end, and hers too, was not too last. Her childhood dreams came crashing down on her, as being a squire was not what she expected it to be. The irony in that was that she had spent a quarter of her life, training to be a squire, and when she was finally one, it didn't feel right. It wasn't how had expected it to be. Leaving the order, she moved on, thus starting yet another chapter of her life, leaving her the past behind. |
