As the pair begun entering his simplistic Tent, She'd spoken to him. Telling him of precisely what she wished to become; For now she wasn't a threat to his safety. Therefore he simply gives a nod of his head as she'd given him two ideas. One was to simply heat rocks so that they could remain warm. Before he'd even bothered to move over into the tent he'd already kicked several rocks over into the flame. So that of course as the woman said they can heat up whilst they found shelter within the Tent. He'd hesitated not in the least bit to get inside, at least inside the Tent wind chill wouldn't come. Good lord it was incredibly cold tonight, and he knew that they would be stuck here with one another. Regardless of rather or not they wanted to be; This was much safer then attempting to travel during a wicked storm. The wind bore it's fangs and the tent rustled a slight bit.

He could only hope that they'd be kept warm through the night, and hopefully they could rely on the multitude of stones to keep them warm. That was only if all else failed of course! Hopefully, and just hopefully he would be warmed by holding on to her for the duration of the night. So that with shared body-heat they can keep themselves from getting sick. Hopefully the tactic would work for now.

He'd parted his lips and begun to speak to the woman. " Hopefully, and I mean just hopefully I can begin working as a mercenary soon. I see that you have quite the nice choice in job. Although I cannot see a lovely woman like yourself running around in armor. Nor being stricken by blades; Yet, some of us are willing to live that kind of lifestyle. I simply couldn't do it for myself.. I am typically if not always armored very lightly, and I tend to be much more flexible with my combative style. Yet, if you are accustomed to it then I don't see why not!" He'd spoken to the woman and concluded his rather short speech. Before he begun to inhale and exhale rather slowly; In an attempt to calm himself down.

His heart rate lowers, and he continues to learn more about how to properly breathe. In order to calm ones self down and slow a heart rate? Perhaps it was true, he'd only just begun to learn that. He simply awaits patiently for Claudia to grace him with her beautiful voice. He'd only just met her and he already couldn't get enough of her presence. The fact that she was even this willing to get into his Tent absolutely amazed him. It was practically insane; Pure insanity to be exact. A woman that is this stunning simply agrees to climb into his tent? How much of a lovely chance occurrence is this?

[ The Bronze Woods] The Chance Occurrence (Claudia)

Postby Claudia Blackwood on February 21st, 2015, 8:11 am

Huddled under her blanket, Claudia was sitting on her bedroll with her chin was on knees, hoping to preserve as much body heat as she could. And here she was, in a tent with a guy whom she had only met a few bells ago. It was such a strange predicament she had found herself in. It was certainly not something she found herself in anyday. Well, she thought to herself, at least she was inside, rather than out in the cold, sheltered from the rapidly decreasing temperature outside, and the guy was cute. The fact that he kept complimenting her didn't hurt either.

She rubbed her hands together, trying to generate as much heat as she could, warming herself slightly. Due to the rather sheltered nature of the area they were in, and except for stray winds, their fire should keep burning until it ran out of means to do so. She spoke to him "I hope you can keep the fire burning." In this weather, all they had to worry about was the cold, and the rather enclosed shelter the tightly packed trees had created, had already made the situation alot more survivable for them.

Striking up another conversation, he spoke about her aspiration to become a knight, as well as his own goal to become a mercenary. He said that he couldn't see her running around clad in armour or be stricken by blades. He began catching his breath as soon as he finished, and Claudia placed a hand on his shoulder, saying "Calm down Holland, what's the hurry? There's no need to speak that fast. And whats so strange about me being in armour? Women can be great warriors as well, you know."

Holland had called her lovely again. As he said that, she swivelled her head to look at him, her green orbs staring into his eyes. She then asked "Why do you care so much about me? Someone whom you've only just met? You don't even know me, or even much about me." Rubbing her hands again, before exhaling into it, she continued "Being a mercenary's a tough life. My father was once one, but he gave up that life after my mother had me, said that the job was too dangerous and unpredictable, and he wanted to watch me grow up, and I'm very happy he did." She yawned as she finished, her eyes visibility tired by events of the long day. Wrapping herself in her cloak, she got out of the tent, transferring the heated rocks into the tent, wrapping them in cloths and placing them near her bed roll. Moving into her bed roll to sleep, she muttered to Holland "Remember to keep us warm, yah?"

It was best that they get some sleep now, so that they can set off in the morning as soon as the storm stopped.

"Sure thing, Claudia. I do believe that women can be warriors as well, I just think that it is absolutely crazy that you are this beautiful; Yet you consider the life of nobility. You could have any mans heart that you so desire, and yet you choose the life of honor. For that I have such high respect for you that it is indeed beyond respect itself. You intrigue me, and I call you lovely because although I've just met you... Your personality is more luminous then the rays of the Sun. You shine brightly, and are unique." He spoke to the woman as he began to think to himself. His cheeks flushed a bright crimson hue, and nervousness racked his embodiment. The iris of his eyes met her own in a gaze for a moment, and immediately a smile crept about his visage. He'd never exactly felt like this before. He for once was around a person he could truly be honest with; He was loving each and every moment of this. His heart begun to hammer away at his chest cavity. He could practically feel each and every beat; It was because he was growing to become more and more nervous as the moments passed.

Shaking his cranium from left to right and allowing his hair to whip about temporarily. The unforgiving cold brought a chill about his embodiment, and he'd thought up an idea and he wasn't at all sure how the woman would take it. Due to the fact that he was unused to situations like this and certainly in most circumstances he would be slapped for asking such a thing. Although for right now he knew that it would be practically essential for the two to even survive a situation like this. Although he may be stricken across the face and he certainly expected a palm strike he would ask away..

"Look, I know that right now isn't the time for me to be romantic, but in all of my chivalry and for both of our safeties; I want you to hold me as tightly as you can. I will hold you as well, and I do not want you to let go, It's what is best for us both to get some sleep tonight. Although you are probably not comfortable with me asking for such a thing, I think that we should do this to prevent freezing half to death. So please, just hold me.. "

He'd spoken and immediately he uplifts both his arms simultaneously. Before outstretching them, and exposing his torso to the woman. Awaiting her embrace and or to be stricken across the visage for asking such a ridiculous question. Although he highly doubted that she would do it hopefully it would work and they could get some rest for the night. For without holding one another they would simply shiver until passing out and not awake until they were warmed up again; Who knew how long that would actually take?

Were the events beginning to take a turn for the better? Or perhaps was Holland being a bit too rash and outrageous? Only time would tell.

[ The Bronze Woods] The Chance Occurrence (Claudia)

Postby Claudia Blackwood on February 24th, 2015, 11:25 am

Lying on her bed roll, Claudia refuted Holland statement. "Have any man's heart I so desire?" She burst into laughter. The sound of her melodic laughter echoed through the somewhat small confines of the tent. Getting up, she playfully punched him in the shoulder. "That's ridiculous, why would you say such a thing?" Easing up her laughter, she continued "No one has actually said these kind of words to me before, you're the first to do so. So no, I seriously doubt I can have any man's heart I desire." Well at least the laughter was good and very much appreciated. It had not only helped generate some extra warmth throughout her body, but also lightened up the moody atmosphere in the tent. The only sounds she could hear from outside, were the high-pitched howl of the wind occasionally screeching, escaping from the gaps of the trees into their sheltered enclave.

Thankfully, the rocks were still relatively warm, providing the tent with a rather stable source of heat for the time being. Hopefully, they would have enough of them to last until the following morning, or at least until the storm subsided, which she hoped was soon. But, she doubted it, as they did not have an indefinite supply of heated rocks, and the supply was already greatly diminishing by the hour. Once the rocks had cooled down, they were just plain odl rocks, no longer any use to them.

While she was rearranging the still-warm rocks, hoping to create a more efficient placement, Holland came up with a plan to keep them warm while they slept. He suggested that the both of them hug each as closely as they could together. Holland also insisted that he wasn't trying to be romantic here, which earned him a chuckle from her. He said that their aim was to share their body heat among themselves, keeping each other warm while they slept. She knew that when they slept hugging each other, they would mostly likely be facing each other, as that would be the most optimal way. Their faces would be mere inches away from each other, and the thought made her blush a deep crimson.

Her illogical side of her brain battled with her common sense, and eventually the logical and practical side won. Surviving was the most important thing here. And besides, the guy was easy on the eyes as well. He had a cute, boyish look about him. Looking at him squarely in the eyes, her face still flushed from the earlier embarrassing thought. She must have been quite the comical sight indeed.

Claudia said "Alright, let's do it before I change my mind."

She made to lie back down on her bedroll, before tossing a look over to Holland. With her arms stretched out behind her back, Claudia cocked an eyebrow at him and smirked. He was still upright, with his arms extended and outstretched, exposing his torso to her. "Do you intend to sleep upright all night, or are you expecting a hug first?"

A smile crept about his visage, and immediately he proceeds to speak to the woman in return. "Surely, if it meant protecting you I wouldn't even bother resting, and I would remain awake at your side for the duration of the night. " Spoke Holland in a soft tone, before he proceeds to follow the woman up; Laying down beside her. Nervously, he'd began to coil his arms about the waist of the woman. Ever so gently tightening his grip, at a rather slow pace, and allowing his torso to come in contact with her own as he'd done so. His visage grew to become more and more crimson by the moment. As the blood rushed upward and he began to blush. His mind flustered and immediately several thoughts ran through his mind. He began to wonder ho he'd gotten quite this lucky, and encountered this beautiful woman. Although it was mere chance, mere coincidence; He still knew that having the chance to hold a lovely lady in his arms was amazing. It'd felt quite lovely to hold someone close to his embodiment. The back and breast armor he once wore was placed aside within the tent, and now he'd only have to worry about controlling his heart rate. For he knew that the more nervous he became, that she would feel his heart hammering away at his chest.

Therefore he decides upon making his breaths much more subtle. In order to force himself not to make it obvious; how infatuated with her he'd already become at first sight. This odd feeling in his embodiment; One of comfort warmth and simultaneously a feeling of connection. Flourished throughout his entire being, and he'd been incredibly happy presently. So happy that in fact his smile grew wider. Before a subtle laugh exited his embodiment; He found her visage becoming red to be absolutely adorable. Therefore he would ensure that she was made aware of such a thing. So that she wouldn't think he was simply laughing in order to be rude to her. It was merely from him a sign of affection.

"Aye, I think that the way you are comfortable around me already is divine. Absolutely divine, and amazing.. I just want you to know that each and every word that I speak to you is true and pure. I want you to know that without a doubt you are absolutely amazing, Let no one else tell you otherwise; Because those people are all foolish. I hope that tonight I can keep you warm and comfortable for the duration of it. So that tomorrow we can travel elsewhere together, Eh?"

Spoke Holland, with a smile upon his face; Revealing his pearly white teeth. Before he proceeds to speak again, and yet this time when he spoke it was rather odd..

"I-I'm.. Beginning to feel as if----.. Never-mind that.. Sorry!"

He'd spoken in a tone that in which one could easily tell he was nervous. He'd only continued to look her directly in the eyes now, and smile. He'd never once in his life-time gotten to enjoy a moment like this. Therefore he would appreciate each and every little bit of time he had with her.

Claudia placed a palm on her forehead saying "Oh, enough with the compliments already! That's more than enough for one night! Anymore, and it'll really go to my head." She also seemed to notice that his grip on her waist seemed to be getting tighter. She placed a hand on his saying "You don't need to grab me so tight, I don't mind on going anywhere in this weather." Giving him a frown, she said "Are you sure, you don't intend to sleep? You should always get some rest whenever you can."

Softening the frown on her face, she went on "Of course, we can travel back together, we can get back to the city, and we can have a hot meal and drinks and I could show you my room at the Golden Dragon, but that is if you're interested." Placing a finger on her chin, she pondered "If you have any other activity that you have in mind, feel free to voice them out, and we can always discuss further." As she finished talking, she gave him a wink a brief smile.

Holland then went on to talk about how glad he was that she was so comfortable around him, to which she said "I'm surprised at how comfortable I am around you as well. I'm don't usually bond this well with strangers that I meet, just so you know." He then attempted to ask a question, but this one seemed to be different, as he stammered through it, and never making it towards the end of the question. Giving up just like that, he said to not mind that, apologising for the incident. That was indeed puzzling, and what probed him further of what it is he actually wanted to ask, he remained silent.

Deciding to drop the matter, she stopped asking. As the night dragged on, her eyelids were beginning to feel heavier and heavier, and it had come to a stage where she could no longer prevent sleep from coming. Lying down on her bedroll and making herself comfortable, she told Holland that she'll be going to sleep now. And with that, she fell into slumber. Claudia had no idea what tomorrow might bring, but a new day comes with its own set of events and challenges, and one will not know until it comes. Until then, one can only wait. For now, she just hoped that the snowstorm will die down soon.

As she'd spoken he couldn't help but listen to her lovely voice. It practically sang a chime to his ears with each and every word she'd said. He gave the woman a nod in response to her saying she would show him her room at the Golden Dragon. Of course he was interested; Why wouldn't he be? What man wouldn't want to? She is the most absolutely beautiful, and stunning woman one could even dream of coming across. "Yes, I'd absolutely love to go with you to your home. Another activity I can suggest is that you and I have supper together some time. I really do enjoy your company, and I find you to be amazing. Regardless of how much you tell me not to complement you I shall do it anyway! The entire world should know the name of a woman like yourself." He'd spoken in a soft tone, As his grip upon her waist begun to loosen. He noticed how tightly he had actually been holding her; Yet, it was because of the brutal cold. Holding someone in his arms right now felt absolutely astonishing.

He'd known now that she would be safe for the night, wrapped in his arms. Therefore as the woman had gone to sleep, he followed suite. Indeed he himself fell fast asleep; He was rather exhausted and cold simultaneously. Yet, her body heat managed to keep him warm. He felt incredibly happy, and could retire fast asleep with her. Without even worrying about the cold, and the rocks remained heated enough to help the pair maintain a stable bodily temperature.

The night was absolutely amazing, and he couldn't wait for tomorrow morning. Due to the fact that he knew that he would surely get to be at her side again. For now he wished to do more then just that; To stay at her side was simply put, an honor in his eyes. After all he wasn't used to people in general; Especially women being this accepting of him.

[ The Bronze Woods] The Chance Occurrence (Claudia)

Postby Claudia Blackwood on February 26th, 2015, 11:10 am

The remainder of the night came and went. The darkness gradually faded as the Moon and the stars disappeared with the re-emergence of the Sun. It was a breathtaking display of radiant colours.

Bright streaks of red, pink, and orange slowly overcame the dark blue and purple of the twilight sky. The sky resembled a prism; all the colours blended perfectly into each other. The sun itself was just peeking out of the horizon, and its brilliant rays already shined brightly and began to warm the air. The storm had long gone, and the new day was looking to be a great start for the pair indeed.

Claudia woke up with a start. Beams of sunlight had already began to shine through the tent, projecting shafts of light at their sleeping figures. Looking around herself, she noticed that she was still lying in Holland's embrace. Had she slept like this wrapped in his arms the whole night?

She felt embarrassed just by the thought of it. She had never slept with anyone other than her parents, and the thought of that made blood gushed crimson to her cheek, as though red wine had been poured into a crystal glass. Fortunately, there was no one around to see her crimson visage. Uncoiling herself from the arms of Holland, she made to get up from her bedroll, and out of the tent.

As she stepped out of the tent, grabbing her cloak on her arm, she moved forward out of the clearing that had been their protector in more ways than one, and took a glance at the sky. It was the most beautiful sunrise she had ever seen. All it took was a glimpse of the various shades of red and orange with several streaks of pink to sent pulses of warmth through her heart.

The rays of light seemed to touch the wide expanse of the forest like an overreaching arm cradling its child. As time went by, the pink went, replaced with a multitude of oranges, as if preparing for the almighty Sun to to rise from the darkness of night as it took up its position at the top of the sky. Claudia wondered what this new day would bring, but the answer to that question, only she would know as the rest of the day unfolded itself, revealing itself like a person reading a book page-by-page.

Whatever it was, she was more than ready for the challenges that awaited her.

Holland finally arose, and immediately rolled out of the Tent. Only to notice that the Woman was no longer present! Although the thought of Claudia having left so soon saddened him. He began to worry about rather or not he somehow freaked her out; Or worse, made her uncomfortable with him. Yet, that couldn't have been the case in the least bit; After all she did sleep in his arms the entire night. Holland didn't even notice that she escaped his arms, and now he realizes that they've gotten through the night. Rubbing his eyes, Holland spoke "C-Claudia are you still here?" in a calm tone; Before his question was answered; without the woman even having to speak. Holland laid eyes upon the Claudias beautiful face all over again.

Although today was slightly chilly and a bit more cold; He knew that they'd have to leave now. Immediately Holland looks about for Declan, the lovely Horse; Although he wasn't adept nor at all skilled with riding it, it was his companion. Therefore he would attempt to take care of it at any and all costs. He would rather die then have Declan be taken away from him. With a sigh of relief, he begun to look toward the pile of ash, that was once the camp fire. Holland only now figured something out. Fire turns wood into ash, and camp fires can be difficult to create. Yet, they can be even more difficult to sustain and control.

Now Holland would immediately crack a smile; Claudia was incredibly beautiful and lovely. Holland speaks to the woman who still stuck around surprisingly!

"Aye, Claudia! We need to get out of here soon and head for Storm-hold. It is probably much less cold there and much better a place to be then this one!"

Holland begins to pack up the tent and what not, and prepares to leave. Although it would be a rather long trip through the winter; At least he had her at his side now. Claudia, his new found "Friend" which he is oddly enough infatuated with. After only a singular night of meeting with her, yes indeed he was. Hopefully things continuously go according to plan as they have been through the night. He would enjoy having her company as much as possible for as long as possible.
