Malakai Appearance Race: Kelvic – African Hedgehog Gender: Female Age: Three years Birthday: 27, Fall, 511. Birthplace: Syliras Appearance: Malakai is a young adult, looking to be in her mid twenties to early thirties in her human form. She has shoulder length mocha brown hair with the same dark eyes of her animal form. Since her human form has kept the eyes of her hedgehog self, she is partially blind. She is slightly short in height, about 5'4” and slender in build. In her bestial form she is almost the size of a softball. She is about 6 inches in length, and weighs just over a pound and an eighth. Her fur is an off white color, and her spines are a more tan color with white tips. Her left ear is torn, where a hawk's talons missed grabbing her and ripped her ear. In her human form it's very easy to see, on the lower lobe. Character History Malakai was born in Syliras, where she lived for just over a year until she decided staying in this city was boring and she became overly restless. Although she knew it was dangerous, she never really understood the dangers of what lay beyond this society she had called home. So she went on a journey, not only her restlessness as motivation, but the feeling and hope of finding a bond mate. During her travel, she was captured and thrown into the slave trade. She was bought by a man who had a few other slaves, one being a teenage girl. This girl still had spirit in her, even when the master tried to desperately beat it out of her. Malakai found her both admirable and lovable, and they soon bonded. After they became so connected, they figured out a plan to escape, and followed through. They really had no idea where they were going after that, but they figured anywhere was better than there. So Malakai traveled with her bondmate, even though some of the decisions made her uneasy. During this time, Malakai became very familiar with some of the forests, where she learned most of her survival skills. Soon they ventured into the land of Endrykas, home of the Drykas. They were welcomed with open arms, and quickly adapted to their way of life. They stayed there for about five months, until Malakai's bondmate decided it was time they headed back to her home. Although she was fearful of the dangerous journey, Malakai agreed, vowing to protect her. During that journey they were attacked by some creatures that Malakai could not protect her bondmate from, and could only watch as this girl she had shared so much of the past six months with, was killed. Her bestial form was an advantage, letting her roll into a ball and hide, but she soon found herself very depressed, blaming herself for not protecting the woman she had connected so deeply with. She made her way slowly to Syliras, where they were headed anyways, and has stayed there since. Just recently, in the last half of the Fall of 514, Malakai has started to become social again, looking for a new bondmate. The loss of her first and only one so far hit her hard, but she was able to pull through, even though it did take many months. Now she is in Syliras, living there once more, looking for a new companion.
