x x L&A Law Found on the second level of the Nitrozian Housing Commission Offices, Lucillus & Associates is a law firm primarily associated with the Nitrozian business family. Serving the family through all manner of legal disputes and business dealings, L&A Law is also open to freelance work for any citizen willing to pay for their services. Opened during the Fall season of 514 AV, L&A Law is a budding organization that currently has a single employee: Lucillus Nitrozian, an... unconventional Nitrozian that nonetheless takes his legal work seriously. After taking a brief flight of stairs up from the main floor of the NHC, L&A Law can be found in the middle of a long wooden corridor. Opening the plain door - with a sign on the front that touts the name of the business - will reveal a small office space, which usually has Lucillus seated at the opposite end of a smooth mahogany desk. A closet against the far wall contains most of Lucillus' records, while the most sensitive materials are kept on hand in his personal scroll case. Two padded chairs facing the desk await any potential clients. L&A's hours of operation fluctuate depending on Luc's mood, but generally one can find the attorney from a bell after dawn to two bells before dusk. Services - Representation: Paying for representation grants the full cooperation of the business in solving an individual's legal and domestic concerns. An employee of the business will be assigned to the client and help to mediate conflicts, represent their client before the authorities of Ravok, and bargain on their behalf. Representation can be bought for a single occasion or for an entire season; if bought for a season, the client is asked to sign a contract that ensures they will only be looking to L&A for representation for the duration of the season. If this contract is broken and the client does business with another legal firm, their prior agreement with L&A will be annulled. There will be no opportunity for a refund. Prices vary. - Counseling: Paid by the bell, counselling sessions involve a one-on-one chat with the client and an employee of L&A. The client is free to discuss whatever issues they are having involving legal concerns, most often involving contractual disputes, and the employee will then offer advice that the client can act upon. During the session, the client cannot ask the employee to adjust a contract, confer with a third party, or do anything that involves action outside of the paid session. The client is asked to sign a contract prior to their first session that ensures that, in the event of the client bringing up seditious material and the employee becoming forced to notify the authorities, the client may not seek a refund once they are released by the Ebonstryfe. 3gm/bell - Contract Drafting: Paid by each individual page, the drafting of a contract is usually a service that occurs after a session of counselling or in the midst of representation. An employee, after hearing of a client's grievances, will take the notes of the case home and begin to write up a contract that will be used by the client for business with a third party. Usually, this third party is contacted by the employee, so that both sides can be accounted for and negotiated with. Within a matter of time prior agreed to by both client and employee, the contract will be finished and delivered by hand to the client's home. L&A is not required to reimburse the client if the contract goes missing, is destroyed, or is tampered with after delivery. 2sm/page
