[Syliras' OOC Thread] The Calm within the Storm

Hey everyone!

I wanted to give you all a little update on my summer plans for Katelyn. I've decided she'll travel to Kenash the last half of the season on a small quest with her patron and return later in the fall. They will be leaving on the 40th with a small group of Freeborns and their personal guards, and escort their carriage back to Kenash via the Kabrin Road.

I plan on staying in Kenash for about 20 or 30 days and be back in time for the last half of fall here in Syliras. Anyone wanting to thread with Katelyn this summer will be restricted to the first 40 days of the season!

Hey folks!

Just a quick heads up. I, as many of you know, tend to get pretty busy with IRL stuff. Well, situations have changed a bit for me. I have started a new job at a dental manufacturing laboratory, which has thus far been pretty great. It is a 40 hour a week job (night shift) with lots of cool things going for it. This means no more crazy 14 hour shifts and getting shipped up and down the coast to work at the various sea and air ports. (Also health and dental insurance, yay) It also means I will be on my computer more often... but not quite yet.

Honestly, I wasn't sure if the job was going to stick, else I would have mentioned it earlier. However, it seems they actually want me around so I'll have to go through with it.

I am still adjusting to this new schedule and in between work I am taking a college course in my ever extending plan to actually get my degree and hopefully (soon) my final career. So for the next few weeks my activity will be as it has been for the past two weeks, fairly low. I will be answering PMs and keeping track of things via my phone, but grading, thread posts and administrative duties like setting up jobs and so on will be sporadic until I can settle fully into my new schedule. For you older players, this is nothing new. I am thankful for your support and your understanding in this.

If you have a pressing question, be sure to PM Plume. She can contact me directly if there is an issue that I need to jump on. Most questions Plume can field and she is in fact quite knowledgeable about all things Syliras. If it's about a disruptive player or you want to talk to me in private, as always my PM inbox is always open and things can be handled discreetly.

Hey now, Violet! Cook isn't a bad job! It's certainly a lot more pleasant than being an undertaker.

considering your character is in a city full of squires that don't have an income I think your doing good for yourself. After Nivel completes the dangerous and lengthy quest for promotion, maybe her job will start paying her and she won't have to sleep in a sock under someone else's bed. I'm considering upgrading it to a boot

Greetings my fellow denizens. It's great to meet all you lovely folk. I'm looking forward to threading and getting to know all of you. I just finished thinking through this character and think I'm satisfied enough with his direction to make that step into threading.
