I. Appearance
Name | Gemini | True Name | Gaios Tos | Race | Human | Age | 20 | Gender | Male | Date of Birth | 12, Spring, 495 | Height | 6’1'' | Weight | 167lb | Hair Color | Light Hazel | Eye Color | Charcoal |
Gemini stands at 6’1’’ with soft, pleasant features. In its natural state, his hair is of a golden brown, while his eyes are of a softer shade of charcoal. He possesses a lean and attractive physique - a body well fit for performing.
Gemini's most defining trait only becomes apparent after he conceals all facial features above his lips. The contour of Gemini's jaw is smooth and elegant, giving a much softer visual as compared to the typical male jawline. As such, it allows him to portray female personas with either the support of a mask or skilful use of cosmetics and disguise.
His normal attire is a clean cut white shirt and black cotton pants, in addition to a pair of black leather boots polished to a shine. Gemini also wears a pair of finecrafted black leather gloves over his hands.
Gemini's appearance and attire can vary drastically as he acts or adopts other personas, or simply based on his mood. |
Gemini’s own true personality and persona had been lost long ago with the memory of his true name, Gaios Tos. What took its place was a different plethora of personalities based on the personas that he had adopted over the years. The personas never remain truly pure in form - over time they mix, intertwine, and blur into a chaotic palette that can never be separated back into their completely distinct forms.
The adoption of the ”Gemini” persona into Gemini’s daily life altered the form and original personality of the persona. As time went on after he had left The Troupe, his actions - even while staying in persona - strayed more and more towards natural male characteristics, reverting back to his former self. As of now, unless Gemini intends to fully portray the ”Gemini” persona, his movements, actions, mentality and responses are mostly similar to those his age. |
III. History
City of Birth | Riverfall | Current City | Alvadas | Current Profession | Performer |
Gemini had forgotten when he had joined the group of alvad performers known as the Troupe. All he remembers was his dedication to upholding the illusion in his devotion to Ionu.
The Troupe toured over many cities in their caravans, performing a multitude of different plays. To accommodate for the plethora of characters required for each performance, the actors within the Troupe were all assigned a numerous different characters to perform. After receiving every new role, Gemini adopted the persona of the character he played as his own, performing as if it was he himself who was entangled in the comedies and tragedies of Mizahar. Over the years, Gemini became the envy of his peers. His talent in the performing arts was evident - being able to bring any character on script into living, breathing reality. He'd played so many different personas and personalities, created so many illusions of identity so real themselves that he had almost forgotten who he originally was. "To act is to be.” Was what he told himself. He was dedicated to upholding the illusion.
That was, until he played ”Gemini”- the merged spirit of a pair of beautiful fraternal twins that perished in the Valterrian. Since only he possessed the soft facial features required for the androgynous portrayal of the character, he played the role every time there was a performance of the play. Gemini mesmerised the crowds every performance with his beautiful illusory appearance of ”Gemini” - the single being that embodied the essence of both male and female. In response to the popularity of his performance, his performing group toured the show over and over, until eventually the craze for the play had settled down. Every time, the performance of ”Gemini” enthralled the crowd. Every time, Gemini upheld his illusion of being both man and woman.
He was so dedicated to upholding the illusion that, over time, he himself had become the illusion.
By the time his peers began rehearsing for a new play three whole years later, Gemini had lost himself in the identity of the persona. He could no longer portray any other character than”Gemini”, he could no longer become anything other than the persona of ”Gemini”. Seeing that he is unable to further perform, the Troupe dismissed him, leaving him to his own. Having forgotten everything about his own identity, he adopted the name Gemini.
The following year, Gemini began gradually recovering from his ”Gemini” persona, trying to find his lost identity. During his travels he either performs himself or teaches others to act to earn a living. Occasionally he meets a few admirers of his past performances.
With no leads to his past save for vague memories of the Troupe and a vivid sense of connection to Ionu and the illusion, Gemini seeks to find leads to his past in Alvadas. |
