Not daring to risk grave danger by venturing beyond well troded trails to the beach. There would always be some risk but that would not disuade Lazuhly from the thrill of a personal adventure. She hugged the coastline as sandals flip flopped across loose sands that radiated with the warmth of the suns cascading illumination. She could smell the wafting odor of salt that lazily clung to the fresh air. And the cacaphony of squawking gulls and buzzards set the mood, while roaring waves rolled in thunderously clashing across the edge of the landscape with roaring vigor before gently absconding. Lazuhly would set her agenda on a task and begin working on the project. As she opened her artists toolkit the wooden box creeked to life while deft fingers fidgeted around its innards in search of necessities. She had some expensive paint, a flask of water and a wooden paint pallet with a few brushes. There was a look of disdainful contempt directed at one of the wooden tools as parchment and aisle were set in soft sand. Lazuhly wanted to try something different, as she raised her hand she separated her fingers stretching them out. Taking a deep breath she calmed herself and began forcing the res through her fingertips and this clear gelatinous substance began to trickle out in a consistent manner until she formed three rather small intangible orbs. Exhaling through her nose she began to focus on her essence and forcing it to defy gravity as the trio slowly ascended into the air with swirling albeit hobbled whir. Maintaining a serene karmic calm with the appropriate level of smug self assured satisfaction that took perhaps another mage to truly appreciate the sheer magnitude of her self absorbtion. Busy being lost in a superiority complex the young reimancer managed to see herself out of her self inflicted predicament. Baby blue eyes focused as snarky grin dissipated all the while she harnessed supernatural power and began the transmutation process of the hovering orbs that's size and scope could be described as a trinity of magical eggs. Concentrating on the outer layers the res began to shift into liquid, at first it dribbled and tried to comply with the demands of gravity only to desist as the res core began eminating in power. As this transpired the water stood in a pouring standstill as if stopped by the godess of time herself. Only to slurp itself back and reform it's original clustered shape. Maintaining its grasp upon the newborn element in a djed draining form of channeling which required serious concentration to keep stable. In rapid succession the others followed one after another in impetuous unnatural change. The steps of transmutation bit into her arcane resovoir, but the miniscule size of her manipulations made it manageable perhaps for a short period. Lazuhly could feel this strange sensation that wrapped itself around her exposed skin. It felt like exfoliation followed by an intense cool that burned her pours. She drank djed from her environment in an unfocused mode for a minor boost in her djed pool. Retrieving some paints she selected a black, red and green. Each little water bubble would be given a smidgen to create orbs of those three chosen colors. Hand retrieved paint brush and gingerly dipped it into the hovering ebony ball. A splash of darkness across the aisle, followed by squiggles with a circular center Lazuhly chose to make a focus in her glyph black and when it was completed she double dipped and went over her original lines. Dunking the pastel covered brush into her flask to clean it, she gently swiveled the bobbling colores so that her next selection was facing her for easiest access. A vibrant red Crimson streaked across the tapestry, and added to the once previously perceived finished construct. As time progressed Lazuhly began to notice errors and used the red to fix them and also establish a visual aid. As a conscious effort for reviewing what had been done wrong an the first time and why it transpired. The color system scheme also gave some depth of clarity in differentiating the order of the multiple processes that were involved in even the most basic procedures in a glyphs structure. Almost as quickly as it had started Lazuhly shuddered aghast in a muffled shiver as she was caught unawares of the accumulative cost of her trifiling as a stark icey chill obnoxiously stroked down her spine. The trio of water balls lost manifestation and instantly dropped in unison splattering gobs of dyed water, across the sand as gravity was once again victorious. The young mage feeling dizzy stepped backwards hands pushing outwards to help retain balance before allowing herself to plunk in the sand rump first. She didn't feel right either but it wasn't sickness or light headedness that one would come to expect. It was a shallow sensation as if she had been hollowed out somehow and a piece of herself had been expelled. Something felt missing but not in a physical sense, it was a curious affliction. A harsh lesson well learned, mysticism was not a toy. |
