Asen, being the impulsive girl she is, had decided to take a walk. More accurately, a walk around the walls of Syliras. It couldn't be that dangerous, right? She was just outside the city, and needed to stretch her legs anyways. She doubted there'd be anyone with the same idea at the same time, so it gave her some peace and quiet.
The half-Dhani ran one hand along the wall, inhaling the fresh air. The only sounds she noticed were the soft scuff of her feet against the ground and the various forest-dwelling creatures around her. It was relieving, what with the Svefra swarming the city. It wasn't crowded, it wasn't noisy, it wasn't chaotic. It was nice.
Her hand fell from the cool stone as she swiveled her head towards the forest. Eh? Did I just hear somethin'? she thought, pursing her lips and furrowing her brow.
The squire turned the rest of her body to face the trees, hands on hips. After a moment's consideration, she stepped away from the immediate safety of the city walls. Her lanky form moved cautiously. She knew it was dangerous to go into the forest alone, and as such prepared herself for any surprise attacks.
Finding nothing too unusual after a chime or two, she turned back to the stone walls. Kinda wish there was someone out 'ere... I'm itchin' for a fight. Hai, at this point I'd fight a damned squirrel if they didn't all run away. All those Svefra or whatever in the city are makin' it 'ard to concentrate... she thought, kicking halfheartedly at a lump of grass.
Although I s'pose it en't so bad. I got Lorden as my patron, after all. Get to spend all kinds o' time with 'im now an' nobody gets suspicious.
