He is tall, blade thin and leanly muscled. Dark hair and dark eyes give him a somber appearance that is reinforced by his demeanor. He has a long, thin face that might be called handsome by a woman with low standards, but at best manages not to be ugly. Though he has no scars on his face, the top of his left ear is missing, and a horizontal scar beneath his hairline shows where the sword that took his ear nearly took his head. He moves with a subtle grace that is often overlooked by those who see only a farmer.

Character Concept A soldier for hire. Since an early age, he's been selling himself out as a lone mercenary to caravans, small villages, and anyone who needed a sword by their side. He finally settled down in a village at the foot of the Cobalt Mountains, after being hired to guard a delivery of supplies. He met a young woman there, decided he'd had enough of traveling, and got married. His wife died in childbirth, though the baby survived. Heartbroken, he left the child in the care of his wifes family, and returned to the life of a wandering blade for hire.
