The Ocean's Harvest is Black Rock's fishmongers. Like many of the other buildings on Black Rock, it is white and appears to be one-level from the outside, resembling a tomb.
Run by Coria and Laurent Dawson, the Ocean's Harvest prides itself on supporting local industry. They buy from local fishermen as well as Charodaen merchants. If it can be found in the sea, it can usually be found here. The fresh selection usually changes from day to day, depending on the catch and what comes in - the waters are famous for being unpredictable about what they will offer up. Salted, pickled, smoked, and dried fish in a number of varieties are available. Crab, lobster, shellfish, and plenty varieties of fish, white and oily alike can be found here. Coria is usually the one behind the glass counters.

Other: A Black Rock native, Laurent was always a big fan of fish, but he was never particularly good at fishing with a rod and reel, despite his uncle Alexander’s persistent attempts to teach him. However, one doesn't need to catch the fish to be good at handling them once they're out of the water, and so he started the Ocean's Harvest. It meant a uniform price and more security, and this suited the fisherfolk just fine. They could sell their catch to him; whether he sold them or not, it was out of their hands. He is married to Coria, who helps him with preparing the fish for sale and helping customers.

Other: Coria has three loves in her life: Laurent, fish, and knives. While many women might have complained about working with fish all day, Coria embraced it. Laurent jokes that it’s only because she gets to stab and gut things with no consequences, but Coria truly loves her work. When it comes to knives, nobody knows how to take better care of them than Coria. Even the local blacksmiths grudgingly admit that Coria is the best at keeping a blade’s edge in peak condition. If it’s a keen edge you want, Coria’s the person to see. It has been rumored that she uses an ancient technique known only to Izurdin or Myri, the same technique used to put the edge on the glaive that killed Ruros. It is also rumored that she was responsible for the disappearance of Laurent’s previous lover when Coria and Laurent first met. You know how rumors are.
Old Man Dawson

Other: There are few people in Black Rock, let alone the entirety of Mizahar, that understand fishing the way Old Man Dawson does. He is one of the few people who can fish just for the sport of it and still make money doing so. Fishing to him is not about catching the fish but about the experience. As with any expert in a field, he is more than happy to share his knowledge and skills with those who ask. An avid outdoorsman, he spends much of his time in the wild and is attempting to map Black Rock’s wilderness. When Laurent first opened The Ocean’s Harvest, Alexander was more than happy to lend his experience and knowledge of the waxing and waning of fishing seasons to help Laurent establish a consistent year-round price that would make him money while still allowing the fisherfolk to support themselves and their families.
