Kayuqtuq is fairly pale for a Vantha, her skin is about the same colour as oak wood. Her hair is jet black, with a tinge of brown to it, and very silky. Of course, no one could explain the colour of her eyes, but they are large and round. She is short and lanky, about 5'2, and not very athletic. Her siblings, when she was little, made fun of her unusually long nose, calling her names. Personality They say I'm such a special snowflake. Kayuqtuq is pretty quiet and soft-spoken, however, she has a natural gift for storytelling. She is quite timid, and has fears of many things. Those traits combine together to make it pretty hard for her to showcase her talent. She gets angry very easy, the smallest thing making her run away and refuse to talk with whoever angered her. She is extremely immature. History Do you want to hear the story of my past? Kayuqtuq was born to a loving Vantha couple in Avanthal, and has lived her whole life there. She had two brothers who tormented her to death about anything possible and are now off who-knows-where doing who-knows-what. She has always wanted to be a storyteller, but being very timid, threw herself into hobbies such as singing and lute playing and the learning of Nari that require less courage. She learned Nari when her brothers took her on a trip to Wind Reach. In secret, she would make up stories and tell them to whatever non-humans were nearby. Her talent was discovered when she accidentally told a Kelvic in animal form a story. This Kelvic, Avena, a moose Kelvic , bonded with her and was her best friend until shot by a hunter while in animal form. Kayuqtuq had a very uneventful childhood, but the death of Avena when she was 20 inspired her to follow her dream of being a storyteller. At about the same time, her brothers dragged her off on an adventure to Syliras, where she decided to kick start her career. Post-creation Things are going well for Kayuqtuq. She has a nice job, several friends, and a nice apartment. Her musical abilities have been recognized, and she is developing them constantly. Religion has become a major aspect of her life, as well as her new-found hobby, musical composition. She lives in a two-room apartment in Traveller's Row with her kitten Atka.

At the end of the main room is a hearth, nearly always burning if she is at home. Next to it is three cupboards and a hutch. In front of it is a small table and chair, as Kayuqtuq likes to eat close to the fire.On the table is Kayuqtuq's writing supplies, usually with an unfinished musical composition spanning the parchment. In the other room, is her bed. The bed is always made, and is flanked by a small chest. All of her possessions are in the chest, except from her two dearest items; her lute and her necklace. These lie on top of the chest. In the corner of the room, she has a chamber pot and wash basin. Support beams on the walls have previous compositions tucked there. Overall, the rooms give off a very unfinished feeling.
