Appearance: His current form is that of a fat humanoid standing less than a foot off the ground with a very large head, without any sort of clothing or anything. Though, on his elbows is a sort of grey padding, though with the same feel as all other parts of his clay-skin. The padding also shows on the bottom of his feet, on his sides, and small ones on the tips of his fingers, which he only has four of on each hand. On the upper left part of his chest is a small circle, slightly popping out. He doesn't know what this is for, as his Nexus is inside of his head, though he pokes at it often.
Old Appearance :
Like all Pycon, Tubby started out as a round ball of clay. A pretty big ball of clay, actually. His skin was an off-white color, which was darker than his ma's, but lighter than his pa's. His shape was that of a very fat ovoid than a ball, so he always rolled the same way, which did limit his ability to maneuver around.
A few days after his birth, Tubby had 'grown' two big, black circles on his face, with a small black line connecting them. For a good amount of time, his parents had no idea what the line was; though, obviously the circles were eyes. They didn't know what it was, not until he opened it to lick something. It turned out to be a mouth, placed in a strange place, but a mouth nonetheless. This proved a slight problem, however, as his shape made him only able to roll one way, which would be over his face.
A seemingly hard problem to find a solution for, Tubby was able to solve it himself. Gathering some of his weight under him, he brought it up, so that he would hop forward. This became his favored mode of transport, right under his father carrying him around in a cart. He could be seen hopping this way and that, very easy for him to do.
Character Concept Jolly by nature, Tubby embodies the stereotype of fat and happy, often fooling both friends and enemies with his air of benevolence. Those with who look close enough, or long enough might notice the subtle cues, the movements of those around him. There is a reverence for the jolly man that isn't won by his shining personality. Those who know him closely know what this is; others can only guess. The fat one had a rather boyish nature, child-like in demeanor and personality. Most who meet him would think that he would be in love with sweets and the like, at least, those he was friendly to. Always the first to laugh at a joke and the last to calm, he's a great one to hang around and befriend. Tubby is one that is just as willing to give hugs and cuddle with another as he is to whip out Ice and poke mercilessly at someone, though he would still be quite cute whilst doing so. Though, underneath the cute and the jolly, Tubby posses an innate personality. He doesn't know it himself, nor does anyone around him have an inkling of what it is.
His signature move, which he came up with because of his really large head, is the "Seismic Headbutt", where he headbutts someone really hard with his ginormous head.
Character History
Tubby was born in the Pyve of Zeltyne to two well known Pycons that traveled Mizahar, or more specifically, the good hundred or so miles around their home. Though this distance may or may not be great to the average, and most other Pycons had been to farther places, this couple were well known because of their skills.
Tubby's father was the original owner of his unique longsword, Ice, which Tubby now has possession of. His father, Maddock (a rather human name, but aplty dubbed) had trained extensively with it, mastering it along with the Flux, though he lacked in many other skills. He was a rather large, muscular Pycon that used the Flux to make it seem as if his clay body actually told of his strength, plus some extra power. Maddock taught Tubby how to wield his sword, though only the basics; he told Tubby that he would have to develop his own way of using the weapon, that he would no longer tutor his son past the basics. His father was a former member of Daggerhand, higher up in the ladder of power and very influential. He left only because he wanted to settle down, so he went to the Pyve. He still keeps in touch with his buddies from the gang, though he thinks it is because they want to make sure he doesn't squeal to the Knights about secret things. He still wishes for his gang life, but decides to live it in his son, Tubby. He subtly taught him to be a criminal mastermind, though Tubby thought his father was teaching him so he wouldn't get duped on his adventures.
Tubby's mother, on the other hand, was small and quick, the opposite of his dad. She had mastered Acrobatics and gained some competency in other skills, but gems really took her heart. She had mastered Gemsmithing, Tactics, and Negotiation, only considered an expert in Mathematics, but still wanting to make her own business. But, she got too preoccupied with life to start it. So instead, she taught Tubby these things, as she found he quite liked the idea of running his own shop, too.
Tubby, like most Pycons, became independent within a few months of his birth. His current form is vaguely humanoid only because he took it from another human he had seen, his first; a really fat guy, though this human was the opposite of jolly and fun. Tubby only copied his form to an extent; he didn't learn any more of the person, except that he was mean to others in his caravan. This caravan that the fat human was on was actually how Tubby came to Sunberth in the first place.
Sneaking onto the caravan the fat man was on, after telling his parents, of course, he traveled to Syliras, where he stayed for only a day. As he saw rather ordinary people, he quickly became bored with the place; very bored, seeing as he was only there very briefly. Climbing easily onto another caravan, one that had more regular people but was hopefully due to another place, a more interesting city, he stayed on it for a good while, not knowing their destination. On the way, though, he saw another caravan. He decided to hop onto that one; it would mix his destination even more. This one, he stayed on, all the way until they arrived at the city.
Once in Sunberth, Tubby looked around. The place was dark, gloomy, and mysterious. Perfect. Mystery was his favorite thing, so his boyish Nexus advised him to stay.
A small longsword, named Ice, given to him from his father. Made from cold iron (45 GM total) it is a beautiful weapon, marked with runic symbols on the blade. Though they have no meaning as far as he knows of, nor any power of any sort, they make his blade one of a kind. The blade is colored black, with the hilt being of silver. The hilt is shaped into that of a trident, with the black blade being in the middle. Set into the bottom of the hilt is a blood red ruby, which he polishes every day.
Housing
Location: Sunberth
House: He keeps his small tent in his stomach, so that he wouldn't lose it. The rest of his things was in his head; he propped his tent in a places where it was hard to see at, so as to sleep rather peacefully. Or, as peaceful as you could get in the lawless city.
