The westernmost tip of Kalea, Wind Reach is home to an amazing group of people and their giant eagle mounts. [Lore]

As Fenilen screeched himself raw in the aerie, Sai and her new friend jaunted down the city warrens toward the kitchens. Turned out the woman was a chiet that had been roped into helping Pee Boy clean his aerie a few times a week.
"Well, find yourself a dek to send in your place and inform him that you've been requisitioned by Sairque for the foreseeable future," she patted the rather dull woman on the shoulder, preparing to push through the kitchen doors. "Any more trouble, I live right next door to him." The woman smiled wide, making Sai wonder, again, if she'd eaten too much ore as a child. Leaving the woman in the warren, Sai waltzed through the tables and diners toward the counters.
“Let’s see, couple apples, couple rolls, a block of cheese…” Small calloused hands hardly able to keep a hold on the staples, she nodded to the nearest chef and headed back up to her chambers. So Fenilen was leaving. She could have wondered where he was going, or why, or she could focus on the delicious juice flooding her mouth with every bite into one of the apples. The meat cracked off with each bite, crisp between her teeth. Mmmnn. Tossing the skeletal remains of the core to a passing person, she pushed through her door and scoped out any new developments in the aerie. Aidara had decided to take a nap, and Fen paced in distraught impatience. A roll she tossed him, depositing the other one and the apple on the end table at Addy’s head. Propping the girl up, she scooted into the seat there, letting her thigh make a pillow for her. Tenderly, her fingers brushed errant locks of hair behind an ear. Curious yellow eyes turned to Fen, scrutinizing the lad.
“All right, Fen. Let’s hear it.” Might as well hear the real damage before getting upset. |
"Oneday I wished upon a star
And woke up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me."

Well, she was trying to rest but Fen's screech added to his constant pacing did nothing but keep her awake. Still, Addy tried to lay there with her eyes closed, her face buried in the crook of her elbow, her legs curled up under her.
It was with a barely audible sigh of relief that Addy realized her twin had returned. And from the smell of it, with some apples at the least. Mmmmm, food. The healer heard something thunk onto the table above her head as Sai spoke to Fen. Addy sat up cautiously, so not to make herself dizzy or worse. She barely had any food on her stomach as it was. It would be a shame to puke it all up.
"Mmm, thank you Sai." Flashing her sister an appreciative smile, Addy reached for the apple and the roll. She started with the roll first. The crispy crust was punctured with her thumb and ripped away, leaving the still warm and fluffy center. Using her fingers to dig out this delicious center in a very un-ladylike way, Addy focused her attention on the other two. Sai had asked Fen a question, though she can't remember what it was.
Since the boy was still silent and pacing, obviously trying to get his wits under control, Addy decided to speak up and get her report out of the way so that she could eat in silence and simply listen. "I managed to get most of the glass out and stitch back together a lot of the skin. It should heal fine with minimal scarring. If there is any scars, callouses will quickly cover them so it's nothing to worry about; they wont be painful. Addy had to stop here and take a few slow breaths. Her energy was still running dangerously low, and her voice was but a soft echo of it's normal self. Popping a bit of the crust into her mouth and chewing slowly, green eyes skipped from Sai's face, to Fen's, and back again before she pipped up. "There is still glass left in there. But with the way my hands are shaking, and the energy I used up to fix the skin... She let her voice trail.
Sai would be able to feel her sisters disappointment, specifically in herself, as well a significant amount of stress. It had balled up between Addy's shoulder blades, leaving her hunched and even more weary for it. Ashamed that she wasn't able to finish a simple healing job by herself, it was painful for Addy to admit what she was about to. "I need you to just pull out the one or two pieces left and bandage up his hand. It's not a big deal, the glass could fall out on it's own, but he'll be much more comfortable this way."
And with a sigh, an apologetic smile and a wave to Fen telling him he now had the floor, Addy leaned back into the soft couch, finishing off the roll quickly and picking up the apple.
