Appearance Race: Pycon Gender: Male Age: 6 Birthday: 6th of Winter, 510 Birthplace: The Unforgiving Appearance: Veyn has the form of a feathered lizard, modeled after a mountain ixam with some rodent-like qualities. He is about six inches tall standing on his hind legs. The nose and snout is lizard-like, with two blank eyes on either side of the head. They are at just the right angle below the brow to let him see ahead with clarity. He has two pointy ears that he has full control over. Also, he has a pair of nimble and rodent-like clawed hands which are capable of handling anything with the same finesse a pair of the human variety could while being suitable for climbing. His two hind legs are large and rodent-like, narrowing down to the feet which are tipped in rigid claws for climbing. This gives him a squatting rat-like appearance when standing upright. He has a long, spindly tail that is quite flexible and can be used for balance. He is covered in scaly 'feathers' which adorn his entire body like little wedges. Most of them sharpen out to a point, and even his underside has them. He should not be picked up, as trying to do so may result in injury. At the same time, he is quite delicate due to the many thin and intricate clay pieces that comprise his current form. Character Concept Veyn is a devious Pycon that harbors a deep hatred for human-kind. Aside from this, he is kind and attentive towards those whom he cares about, but he is wary of forming relationships with non-Pycon. He believes himself to be forsaken by the gods, so he no longer prays to Harameus, or even really cares what the gods have to say at this point. He simply wants to make the most of his life, and satiate his curiosity. Veyn enjoys the art of malediction, and finds working with what used to be his enemies the most gratifying endeavor. When he became a wizard and as his knowledge grew, he was once innocent but started to grow vain. This vanity started to change his form into what he is today. He knows that he is beautiful, wondrous even. And when he isn't getting into trouble from his iron sense of self-esteem, he is flaunting his appearance and ability. Veyn dislikes it when someone is better at something that he can do, and will go to any lengths necessary to be the superior. He will only tolerate this from other Pycon, and he will be sure to seek his revenge if a human humiliates or belittles him. Character History This unfortunately fortunate story begins in a cave along the slopes of the unforgiving, in a small town inhabited by small people made of clay. They lived in small holes, in the earth, forming the basis for a place called a pyve. It was a village of sorts for Pycon, a race of small many-formed people made of clay. It is where older Pycon go to die and, and the younger generation are spawned. This is where Veyn was born, and he first took the visage of his grandfather Novykalis. He was a budding lizard with a frilly neck, walking on two legs. A regal appearance some Pycon admittedly envied. Of course, curious about the world so much was he, that Veyn became close to some of the more well traveled Pycon. He eventually learned of their secrets - the first from a female Pycon he learned of and began to practice Auristics, the magic to sense things. She also taught him many things about a dead language, something she was prideful of knowing and more than happy to teach. Another Pycon knew a form of telekinesis, and ripped his astral body from him so that he could do the same. Veyn begged and begged to be taught, and he eventually was. Veyn's initiation sort of changed him, and he became more weary of others and started to care more about how others viewed him. Soon, it came time for Veyn to leave to see the world, and he set off for Alvadas with a group of other Pycon. Along the way to Alvadas, there was much time to converse. A Pycon taught him an art of creation, Malediction it was called. It called to life the power of dead things, something that Veyn found quite intriguing. They eventually reached Alvadas, and everyone went their separate ways. Unfortunately, his talents were ill-received by humans, so he settled into depression. Veyn grew close to one of the human drug addicts that did appreciate his gift, but the man ratted him out and almost got him killed were he not able to downplay the accusations as illusions. The betrayal shocked him, hardened his personality and drove him wicked. He didn't know humans were capable of such things. Now, he wishes they were all dead. He wishes they could all be his toys, play-things to exterminate more of their lot with. Spurred on by his experiences, his form began to change, and he grew feather-like clay protrusions all over his body His short and stubby tail grew long and wispy. He even grew a pair of arms from his back, ending in clawed hands that he can use to grasp things. He felt glorious, and he had an immense pride that he had become a creature of such beauty. The humans would know, and to say otherwise, well... he would have his revenge. Language Fluent Language: Common Basic Language: Nader Canoch Skills
