The creature replied that he was an Akvatari, said his farewells and was back in the air on his way. Moxie waved to the retreating figure with a half smile. The small Konti woman then began to walk away, her head held down as she became lost in thought about the weird creature she just met, many questions swirling in her mind, left unanswered about the peculiar man.
She walked with out paying much attention of where she was going, and hit something rather hard, almost like a rock. She peered up into the face of a handsome stranger, blushing, and stuttering an apologetic noise. She meant to say sorry, but it came out garbled and squeaky. This man before her was gorgeous, and built like a stone wall. It made her heart flutter, and he seemed to be enjoying her uneasiness, "Watch where ya going next time, yeah?" The man said it roughly, but it was laced with what she hoped was humor. Moxie smiled and nodded her head, not really able to speak, she peered down at his hands and went to grab one but he jerked back, arching his brow.
"What do you think ya doing?" His expression held boredom of the situation, if not a little curious as to why she was reaching out for his hand. Moxie was socially awkward in situations like this it seemed, and she tried to explain to the bored looking man. "R..read your palm..as apology? She asked a bit, hating the shaking and stutter in her voice, wishing she could hide away her embarrassment in her voice and body language.
The man let out a exasperated breath and held out his palm, "Sure but hurry up with it." The man said lethargically, and held out his hand for her to examine. He did not seem to thrilled about it, and was rather bored and impatient. Moxie gave him a small smile and nodded as she held his rough, calloused hand in her own, looking at the lines, creases, mounds and fingers. His hand was so large compared to her own, and much rougher then she had expected. "He must work hard.." Moxie thought as she began to read his Palm.
The size and texture of his hands told Moxie that he not only was a hard worker, but he also was a practical person, but also curious. The temperature of his hands was rather warm, giving away his wild nature. She hurriedly traced the lines on his palm, trying to unravel the riddles it held, knowing that she herself could not answer all, that it would be vague even to her, but she still gave it her all as she always did in every palm reading.
His heart line started at the Index finger and ended at his pinky, with multiple creases and breaks. The line told her that he had little interest in romance or love, though he had suffered an emotional trauma in his past.
The head line began between the index finger and his middle finger, it was long and curvy, which spoke that he loved physical activity and he was focused on his goals, as well as a wanting for adventure.
The life line made a arch around his thumb, with breaks and small x's, telling Moxie that he was a bit shallow when it came to life, thought he was intelligent, that soon he would prove rumors wrong. "What ever that means..." Moxie thought to herself frowning. She could not see a fate line, and was in a hurry as the man was becoming impatient with her constant touching of his palm, so she hurried along to view the shapes of his fingers, forgetting the mounts as she had no time for it.
His fingers were middle length, large, and his nails were bitten down to nothing and unkempt as well as dirty. The length told Moxie that he was determined, his intentions were always positive but not always turned out that way. The bitten, unkempt, fingernails told her that he was critical, a bit of a smarty pants, but hard working.
Moxie let go of his hand and took a few seconds to take a deep breath letting the information form the best fortune she could muster from the vague riddles. She looked up at the bored expression, as he waited for her response. "Well..?" The man asked irritated. Moxie blushed not realizing she had been staring at him.
"Vague riddles..palm..tells. You..hard working and driven by a goal..romance not in future...something about rumors though I not understand it.. Money is coming to you.. stay determined and be less critical." Moxie said in Common, though her musical Konti accent was laced the words. The man shook his head laughing, "This is nonsense. Anyway, I am Cecil it was an odd but pleasant time. I must go now."
Moxie nodded, "Moxie.. Farewell." she mumbled to the retreating figure, of the dangerous but gorgeous man as he walked away. He had an air of danger about him, that drew the naive Moxie in. He was an interesting human, and she smiled as she made her way back home. The thoughts of meeting the strange creature pushed out of her head, as the face of the bored looking Cecil consumed it. She wasn't infatuated, just curious, and okay maybe he was really nice to look at too.
