53rd day of Spring, 515 AV
Nivel had been roommates with Revy for a while but were still very much strangers. The longest they had really been able to spend quality time with each other was during a terrible storm that confined almost everyone in Syliras to their rooms. There was some bonding during this time but not really enough to push the two past simple acquaintances who happen to sleep in the same room. Squires tended to have very busy schedules and since Nivel was learning more about magic then most squires, she wasn’t in the same places the other squires frequented. The stone garden and the Sylirian Archives were where the pycon tended to be, ether meditating or studying different herbal remedies. As much as Nivel found an appreciation for these things she felt a bit disconnected from some of her fellow squires from time to time.
The pycon decided she would ask Revy to go out on patrol with her, since it was an aspect of the Order that Nivel had been neglecting as well. It was also very clear in Nivel’s mind that if they were to get into some kind of physical altercation that Revy would wipe the floor with nivel, so she wasn’t about to ask her fellow squire for a spar like she did with her other squire friends.
Nivel summoned the courage to approach her roommates bunk as soon as the tall folk was roused from sleep. The pycon pulled herself on the the bed frame and began her proposition.
“Revy…Would you like to go patrolling with me today?” She said hesitantly, she stopped a moment to catch her breath before she continued “It won’t be long just a short little jaunt through the woods to see if everything is in order..I haven’t done one in a while and I think it would be a great way for us to get to know each other better…if your free today that is”
The pycon released a very obvious over sight in her plan and blurted it out before Revy could get a word in “Oh I just forgot that my Mount isn’t available at the moment..would I be able to ride with you?”
She hoped this last minute request wasn’t enough to change the tall folks mind, it did make things sound more suspect than they were.
