Melisande Daire
Name: Melisande Daire (re Menehat)
Race: Mixed Blood, Human/Eypharian
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Birthday: Winter 25th, 490AV
Birthplace: Zeltiva
Appearance: Melisande Daire is the product of a human father and eypharian mother. A well blended mixture of both, she possesses the high cheekbones of her mother and the sharp peaked eyebrows of her father. Her skin, on the fairer side of the olive spectrum, is faintly gilded. And though she did not inherit the multiple arms of her eypharian heritage, she did retain the heavy pheromones all of her mother's people have.
Her long, wavy locks fall down her back in a gradient from chestnut to ebony and she is relatively tall, standing at a decent 5'9". Her body shape is sleek, corded with a subtle musculature and enhanced by the curves that form her hips and slope her shoulders.
Melisande's eyes are almond-shaped and faintly slanted, frequently lined in kohl to accentuate their feline quality. Her irises are a rich amber.
Personality: Melisande can often be described as elegant and reserved in both her mannerisms and her speech. She was taught well by her mother, who instilled in her a need for proper speech etiquette and behavior, and who valued class and dignity as befit any eypharian. But Melisande, outwardly poised, retains an independence and a streak for ambition that is often manifested in a glint in her eyes. By virtue of where she resides, she has learned to be vicious when she has to be, and to mistrust anyone until they've reason to earn her allegiance. Above all, she is a seeker of knowledge, deferring to logic in any given situation, considering emotions a flaw and a hinderance.

History
Melisande was born to Arnaud Daire, a skilled jeweler and merchant, and his wife, Khata re Menehat, a noble eypharian, or rather, that was what she would have her believe. Whether her blood was of noble stock or not, Melisande did not truthfully know, but it made no difference. She was raised as any other child with her two older brothers, save for the traditions their mother often instilled in them through an attempt to remain connected to her heritage and homeland.
By the time she was old enough, her father nudged her toward the university, in the hopes she would learn jewelcrafting, just as he did, and continue in his footsteps where her brothers had strayed. She enrolled, but found the subject dreadfully dull. Instead, she was drawn to the passion of dance and acting. She befriended a young man during her years at the University who she considered a friend, and eventually, they both found a distaste in scholarly pursuits, and decided to pursue careers and knowledge elsewhere. The two boarded a caravan to the city of Syliras in 513AV, but Melisande found the city to be stifling. She parted ways with her companion, and set her eyes on Sunberth, where her thirst for risk and challenge drew her to the streets fraught with con artists and thieves. Here, with her self-taught hypnotism she has kept concealed, it has been her home for nearly two years; a regal dancer of burlesque and class in a midst of mayhem and chaos.
