Changes In The Site

I have a question. So I didn't see this til today as I'm still learning the site, and my concern is that I have been posting a flashback in Eyktol. I should probably stop that then, yet since I come from Eyktol, do I just post a flashback in Syliras were my character is detailing what happened in Eyktol?

You can finish out your current Flashback there. There will be no new flashbacks thereafter set in closed domains. You can't and have never been allowed to post a flashback anywhere other than where it's setting is (ie. An Eyktol flashback in Syliras). You simply can't, after this change, do Eyktol flashbacks until the region opens and there is an active storyteller.

This looks like a great way to eliminate some of the mistakes that have been made in the past as well as clear up points of confusion regarding staff inactivity - esp the 80-10-10 ratio and PM response time. I'm looking forward to seeing how these changes will affect gameplay in the future!

While I'm sad to see Kenash close, I totally understand why it had to happen. As far as I can see, it's a good way of dealing with inactive cities, although a grace period after a ST has left might be a good idea (someone already mentioned that on the first page) - to prevent multiple closings and reopenings within a few seasons which might be confusing and tedious to migrating PCs...

I've one question: You mentioned that we could assume wind eagles carried us to an open city during migration, is that part of an ic event going down next season or simply a random suggestion? (Already plotting the migration here, so.)

That's up to you. Kenash is off the chopping block though. It has a great candidate for a new ST who just submitted an app.

Well. I'm incredibly optimistic as a result of these updates. Y'all have managed to steal away hours of my time again just thinking about the possibilities. I have high hopes and I'm looking forward to seeing how everything works out.

So, I have a question relating to the flashback in closed domains as well.

If you finish a flashback -one you started before the domain closed- in a closed domain, where do you post the Grade Request thingy? In the Domain itself or in an open domain?

I'm also curious as to how wage requests will be addressed in the non-moderated cities as well.

Is it just whoever can take care of them, will?

You can post your grade request in that domain's grade request thread. Hopefully a grader will come along and clean out the request.

No wages will be paid in non-supported domains. PCs are required to MOVE OUT and not allowed to stay, work, etc in said domain. The only exception to this is in cities where the storyteller ceases to be active for whatever reason and the players finish out the season before the season change exodus. Those little portions of wages can be submitted to the HD. After the HD no wages are going to be paid.

I have a question about membership in city specific organizations. If you're, for instance, a Syliran Knight or a Sahovan Apprentice and your city closes down, would you still be part of that organization and just have to explain why you're not in the city anymore? Or would you lose your membership? Or would it be a completely individual decision?

EDIT: Also, what happens to player run businesses and out-standing loans?

There is a Knight outpost in Riverfall so that might help in the unfortunate event that Syliras is without a story teller.
