Northern Suvan Sea ⊹Only two hours sail from The Anchorage Flotilla
Late Afternoon
Loud roaring and the rushing bubbles met the face of the young Svefra as he launched himself head first into the chilling depths of the Suvan Sea. The salty waters briefly stinging his bright sapphire gaze as the waters churned from having its still surface disturbed. The waves and bubbles tickling the young male's bare sun-kissed skin. His undergarments momentarily inflated with air, soon clung to his thighs as the young Svefra clenched his fingers tightly together and kicked as hard as he could to propel himself deeper into the twinkling blue void. Speckles of light from Syna's Summer gaze above danced in the undercurrents of the sea, giving the underwater biome a magical tone as he revelled in the cooling sensation of the icy waters around him.
The young Svefra utilised his 'seventh sense' as the Oceanus Gnosis of Laviku upon the back of his left calf activated at the touch of the salty sea waters. Kai's mind was flooded with images of the surrounding nautical mile - as far as his 'depth finder' ability would allow him to see. He searched around him for large schools of fish, hoping to find his long time friend and Tavan companion Lexa. With her help he hoped to track down the Otani Tyvic Whitewave had seen around these parts. Now with what he knew about them, he felt somewhat prepared for the initial contact. Whether he was ready or not for the answers, or lack of answers he may find was another kettle of fish altogether. His stomach churned with dread, hope and anticipation all at the same time.
Pushing those knotted feelings to the side however Kai allowed his sapphire gaze to adjust to the currents of water. His eyes stinging slightly as he pushed the waters before his face apart with his hands and kicked with bare feet to drive himself forward, swimming parallel to the Suvan's surface. Sifting through the images flooding his mind's eye, after a while Kai suddenly felt his lungs begin to burn - indicating it was time to surface. Quickly the Svefra paddled upward, breaching the still, though slightly slopping lid of the open Suvan Sea. He forced his lungs to expel the deep breath he had held in before allowing them to take in a large gasp of fresh summer air. Taking a minute to look around, he was glad to see his personal Casinor, The Puer Lavinium, remained anchored where he had left it.
Suddenly 'seeing' a fleeting glimpse of a stryker school, Kai floated onto his back and casually, lazily paddled backwards towards their direction. As he swam, he took the moment to appreciate and revel in the chilling relief the salty waters brought to his skin from the raging heat of Syna's gleam. With his mind and body alike, fully at ease the young Svefra began to try and recall how the verse of the song went that Tyvic Whitewave had sung for him earlier. Remembering the general melody, the young Svefra began to hum it quietly to himself. As he did so more of the song and its words came flooding back.
Humming louder, more confident he had the way of the song right, the young Svefra flipped over onto his stomach. Keeping his head above the waves, he began to take long, out-stretched swings of his arms, kicking with more force. His body, naturally breathing in when it needed to, Kai carefully concentrated even more so on controlling his breaths as he burst out into song. His voice deep, gruff, with the raspy tone of a voice nearly never used in song. Even above the swishing and splashing of the sea as he swam, Kai knew he sounded awful. Singing was hard when stood in one spot, let alone trying to hit a note right while swimming. Yet if song was what the Otani liked; then song was what he had to do to attract their attention.
Getting closer to the school of stryker, Kai could 'see' in his seventh sense that there was a small raft of sea-lion herding and playing with the fish. Whether they were on the hunt for dinner or playing games he couldn't tell. Nor could he catch a good glimpse if Lexa was among them. Deciding that not only would Lexa recognise his voice if she heard it, but also the Otani if it was near by - the young Svefra slowed to a halt a relatively close distance to the under water raft of sea lion.
Flicking his legs in a slow, effortless scissor-motion and gently pushing the water to and fro with his clenched fingers, Kai treaded water and began to resonate the song he was singing even louder from the depths of his lungs. Singing the verse of the Otani song at the top of his voice, the young Svefra didn't even care that he was definitely off key on almost every note - he was enjoying it even so.
