Jobs and adventures:You can't have your job and beat it, too

Beat it as in ditch the job. I thought it was a clever pun

Anyway, so I love the game's job mechanism, but, and I might be overthinking things here, are you allowed to do anything else while you have a job? I mean I find it hard to see a full-time farmer having enough free time to go off and adventure and fight creatures and learn magic and have a grand showdown with the leader of the local thieves guild. Unless that's just one of those realism factors we ignore, like magic.

Can you adventure while you have a job? Or are you stuck just participating in social threads on evenings and weekends for the next whole season? Is a job only for when you're not interested in RPing for a while?

you can totally go on adventures :P
your only required to do two job threads per season in order to get paid, the rest are up to you. The adventure threads could be on your day off or you could even make them related to your job. Like say your out to gather more ingredients for a new recipe or your looking for a fellow employee who happens to hunt for sport etc.
Also in order to feed Ghosts (which could be potential customers especially if their still under the impression that their still alive) you need spiritism which is a form of magic.

Great! I was pretty certain it wasn't the case, but it's good to hear, I thought it probably worked how you describe it.

Also wow, you make being a cook sound like such an exciting career! xD

There was a very prolific cook in syliras but he just embarked on a dangerous quest on the high seas, so it's good to see that another has arrived :P

Oh and Pycon's like my character eat clay, and presentation is everything to us so visual art skills also come in handy as a cook.

Food prep is a pretty intense on Mizahar :P

Huh, yeah, never thought of it that way before. I guess even Rhetoric could be used to bolster the customer's opinion of the food.

It's cool to hear it's a fairly unique occupation choice though, I like making the unusual choice

yah and planning, for the parties you may want to cater. You also might need to negotiate better prices on ingredient at the market, you could also learn hunting and gardening to make your own ingredients. You have plenty of options.
