Appearance
Keiran stands at about ten inches passed five feet, and weighs in at 175 pounds. Long bronze red hair frames a strong jaw line and a simple half smile; in the sun, it is known to turn an almost fiery shade of scarlet. It is usually kept down, flowing just past his shoulders leading into his body. Every muscle is lean and strong, not bulky or powerful, but with every definition built and toned for a purpose. His physique is far from his most prominent feature however. Settled deeply into his countenance are two deep hazel eyes that flicker with scarlet highlights in the sun.
Physical marks include a scarred over wound near the bottom of his left rib cage where a shattered fragment of his bow was driven into him during his battle at The Moonlight Escape. A series of tattoos depicting tribal wings colored red and black line his back. A few other old scars line his body if you look closely enough, but only the one on his rib cage is particularly prominent.
Indoor: Consists of a linen black bryda decorated with crimson tribal flames along the sides, leading up to his bare torso. Black boots trimmed with brown and red fur run the length of his calves. He has his full sontav braced to his left forearm and the half sontav wrapped around his right wrist that leads into his archers glove. His sash of golden brown with crimson highlights is wrapped around his waist like a belt, the ends hanging off his right side by a knot.
When not on the range, Keiran will only keep his Talon Blade strapped to his left hip for emergencies. If he is on the range, he will adorn his quiver on his right hip for easy access and have a shortbow slung over his left shoulder. his Talon Blade is left at home hung up on the wall for safe keeping in this event.
Outdoor: His 2nd issue set made entirely out of leather and lined with golden brown fur and crimson dyes streaked along its surface. He keeps his head covered with a hood during flights and keeps his hair pulled back in a ponytail. His bow is held in his left hand, or slung over his left shoulder for easy access. His Talon Blade is kept strapped to his left hip while his right holds his quiver in place. The sontav on both arms as well as the archers glove are still likewise adorned. He also wears a sash of wool colored in the same fashion as his gears fur with the crimson highlights, only the sash is slightly lighter than that of his other garments. He keeps it tightly wrapped around his face to keep the warmth in and protect him from the fierce winds, the ends trailing down his back from a knot tied behind the neck.
"I live happy and enraged, defending my personal asylum like a lion."
Character Concept
Keiran is someone who is not good with words, and can be quite direct. This is due to him not having many friends and closing others off because of his past. As such, he can come off as a rude person to others. It is because of this he tends to just keep his mouth shut unless pursued.
He is almost always a calm and collected character, rarely showing any signs of distress. When in a battle, he becomes incredibly fierce and aggressive. Sometimes, his fierceness is up to the point where he loses control of himself and is even unable to recall what he had done. Keiran has incredibly strong resolve and will do anything and everything in his power to accomplish something that is important to him, without any hesitation. This resolve has one flaw though, and it is that he will always fight alone. For more than one reason, Keiran would rather win or lose by himself.
However, Keiran is actually a kind person who is just misunderstood. Despite the general population opinion towards him for what happened, he refuses to leave someone who needs his help. He also comforts others who are scared or down, if albeit awkwardly for it isn't his forte. He tries to balance these acts of affection as he does not wish to become to attached to anyone particularly, or them to him.
Keiran is a very emotional person and lets his emotions control him from time to time. His past has, and still haunts him, and though he does his best to conceal it, he is deeply passionate about a many number of things. Death has a huge effect on his personality and motives, making him very distant from others for good periods of time.
Fear is not evil, it shows you your weakness. Once you know your weakness, you can become stronger as well as kinder.
History
Keiran was born to his Endal Mother and Avora Father. As he grew with the rest of Yasi, he was quickly acknowledged for his skill. He had just the right amounts of patience and impatience to retain the knowledge taught to him by his teachers, and apply it with precision. On another trip up to Suren Cliffs, Keiran and his group of Yasi were befallen by the spontaneous rock slide. In a split second action, Keiran desperately tried to save another young boy, and for that was not only rescued by, but also bonded to Skalori the Wind Eagle.
It was not long after he became an Endal that he was accepted in the Swift Falcon Flight, where he met up with fellow Endal, Alrya. They quickly became attached to each other and soon were constantly together on hunting missions. The two were inseparable, and worked extremely well together, bringing back a good amount of game throughout the seasons. Even her Wind Eagle Fenirri had taken an interest in Skalori, and it seemed almost to wonderful.
A few years passed, and Keiran and Alrya were almost sixteen years of age. Flying just behind the rest of their wing on their way to the Forward Camps in preparation for the next hunting mission, they broke away from the route. Stopping in the Moonlight Escape before meeting up for the night. Their relaxing getaway had been all but perfect. However, it suddenly turned from peaceful to terrifying before either of them could react quickly enough. In the ensuing battle, Skalori, Fenirri, and Alrya all died. Leaving Keiran the sole survivor before the War Hawks could find and return him to Wind Reach.
The sudden loss of everything he had held close to him left Keiran wrought beyond repair. He spent his days at the Archery as an apprentice in the Avora Caste, a merciful position since he had lost his mount, and learned quickly how to use a shortbow with more dexterity. His grief slowly turned into a passion to ensure no one had to go through the same pain again. As years passed, he became an Archery Mentor, and though the regret of being unable to save his friends still haunts him dearly, he has set his sights on becoming an Endal once again. This time, if fates allow, he will ride with the War Hawks, and ensure no harm comes to anyone in Wind Reach again.
Wandering in the pristine of fatal stones, we shudder at the ruin.
Winters snow drifting into the voids between our arches,
Where rain still battered the hollow casement beneath;
We found sanctuary in the vacancy.
Winters snow drifting into the voids between our arches,
Where rain still battered the hollow casement beneath;
We found sanctuary in the vacancy.
