Iris followed Miya, who seemed to be walking rather quickly, luckily, Iris had fairly long legs and always seemed to be able to trail a few paces behind her. It was harder to stay next to her when they weren't holding hands, and Iris didn't know where they were going, or at least, not entirely.
At one point, while Iris was a few paces behind, perhaps a few more than usual, Miya called to her, "I'm sorry if I'm going too fast, but it's a bit too cold for my taste." Worried that the girl wouldn't see her gesture if she simply nodded in response, and not wanting to seem rude, Iris said, "Oh, it's quite alright. I'm quite chilly myself," as she started to curl her arms around her chest, trying to lock in whatever heat remained.
Abruptly, or at least abruptly to Iris, Miya stopped in front of a door. It led to a big, dark building. Iris vaguely remembered this building being the tavern. Miya pushed open the door, and a burst of wind shot past them and into the tavern. It was very crowded, and rather noisy. "Wow, this place looks more and more dirty every day," Miya commented, before stepping inside. Iris soon followed, and the door shut with a loud bang behind her. It shut so quickly, courtesy of the wind, that it nearly hit Iris as it swung shut. Slightly startled, Iris said, "it sure does," in a slightly breathless voice, before spotting an empty table with two seats across the tavern, and fairly far away from the door. She pointed it out to Miya, "want to sit there?" she asked.
