Sunset Falls, Dusk

The sunset had finished, twilight descended over Moxie and Beodan, casting the world in an ethereal glow. The moon burned bright in the sky, as did the stars, on that clear night. They would be able to at least see around the pool, as long as they did not go into thicker woods. On their journey back, his widely adaptable eyes would guide them back home. But he could not think of leaving this place. This bubble in time that floated independent of all other events, the world gifting them time to be with each other. Still, she had her body wrapped around him, her petite form pressed as close as comfort would allow. They were mostly submerged in water, only the tops of their chests and above were exposed to the cool night air.

The Konti brought her face into the crook of his neck, presumably for a more comfortable pillow than his forehead. Then, he felt her soft lips caressing and sucking at the soft skin. A hum sounded from deep in his chest, a moan of pleasure. It made him want to writhe under her ministrations, it was agonizing and wonderful at the same time. She traced a line of fire up to his defined jawline, where she lingered for only a moment before taking him in a kiss. He aggressively reciprocated, desperately letting his lips dance with hers. Still, the kiss was tender and innocent, despite their growing need. She pulled away and he growled playfully with a slightly puffy smile. His lips throbbed, and were no doubt redder than they normally were. “I can’t stop,” his love panted softly, “So addicting.” He could feel her form each word, her mouth a hair away from his. It was almost like she was trying to make him go crazy! She leaned beside him, her hot breath tickling his ear, “You taste so good..”

Dan shuddered with pleasure, that sensation was too much, once again making his stomach flip for her. He was torn when she pulled away to look at him. He was not sure if he wanted her to never stop or never do it again, though how could he resist? She seemed to be drinking him in, her eyes brimming with something he had not seen in her before. Was that love? True, deep, pure love? Her eye wandered back to his. Dark brown mirrored her violet, both pairs of eyes widened and loving. They seemed to be drawing him in. “So captivating..” she said musically, and he echoed in a ghost of a voice, “Captivating.” She placed her palms on his chest, fiddling with his chest hair. He cracked a smile, she seemed so focused! He was happy to let her do what she wished with his body. Well, he would prefer if she did not rip out the particular hairs she was playing with, that might sting a whole lot.

Leaving a hand on the small of her back, he brought another up to play with her damp hair. It had dried just enough to give it a slight curl that he adored. He had a sudden desire to talk with her, about more serious things than normal. It seemed like the right time, with a lapse in their romantic action. He wanted to what made her, her. Who in particular had he bonded with? What had made the bond form so quickly with her, with so many others around him? Dan asked, “Moxie, do you mind if we talk? Tell me about your past, I don’t know much other than what I can guess. I will tell you about myself too.”

As she playfully laced her fingers through the hair on his chest, his voice called her back up to his face. She peered up through her thick eyelashes, as he asked about her past. Moxie wanted to get to know Beodan as well, the thought of talking about their past was a little frightening, but she nodded her head, "I would like that." Moxie said in Kontinese, the melodic language of her people, then smiled forgetting he did not know it yet, "I would like that.. Is what I said." She explained in her broken common. Lifting her head fully up she broke their embrace and swam around close to him on her back, "My past is not...good...I suppose we all have...things that..happen to make us...who we are today." Moxie explained, floating on her back to look at the stars above, they were dancing in a twinkling wonder.

The Konti cleared her throat, "I miss home." blinking back the tears that wanted to come, she corrected herself once more, "I miss home.." She trailed off in a pause then continued, "My mother, grandmother, and sister..live on Mura..I left to look for...something more in the world...I felt emptiness.." She rolled off her back and swam close to Beodan once more, placing his hand near her breast, "Emptiness resided here..but now.." She looked up into his eyes, "No longer empty." She smiled letting go of his hand, whether he kept it there or not was up to him as her heart thudded against his palm, "No longer empty."

Her face fell, a look of sadness crossed her features, her heart picked up a pace to indicate her fright of the past she was about to speak of, "I traveled from Mura..to Syliras..catching rides on merchant caravans..not realizing the dangers of such.." Moxie bowed her head as she began to talk in a whispering tone, the man's face flashing in her mind. His dirty face, thick hands roaming over her, taking her mouth fiercely and capturing a piece of her that made her break slightly, as such suffering from nightmares still from what happened, "There was a man.." She began to tremble slightly, "There was a man.. he hurt me.." She trailed off touching her lips remembering how bruised they had been afterwards, then continued, "His hands were rough.. dirty... large.. he was too powerful.. I could not stop him.." Her common became more broken as her voice gave a tremor, wavering as tears pooled into her violet eyes, recounting that night vividly inside her mind, "I tried to fight... But I was not strong enough.. so he took what he wanted from me.. there was blood and pain.. he would not stop.. I screamed for help.. no one came.. as he was on top of me.. taking with a fierce and violent need.."

Moxie inhaled a deep breath to try and calm the wracking of her body from the sobs, "When he was done.. I laid in a heap.. bloody and torn.. I felt like .. he ripped a piece of me from the inside.. The world was not what I thought.. Men were not what I thought.." Moxie paused once more catching her breath. "I killed him." Clearing her throat, she repeated in common, "I killed him.. But I am frightened now to get close... to any man.. that is why these feelings for you.. they scare me.. I know you would never hurt me.. but a piece of my mind screams a warning.. telling me that you may be violent and fierce too.. that men are controlled by that intense need... that I am nothing more.. then an object of desire.." She looked up into Beodans eyes, strong emotions of pain, sadness, fright, and hopelessness coursed through her, "I am scared to fall." Biting her lower lip, she repeated in common for Beodan's sake, "I am scared to fall.." She trailed off, silent for a few breaths, " Not sure if... you would catch me... when I do." Moxie explained, letting her head fall down again in shame. As she awaited Beodan's reaction to the information she surrendered to him, not really going in depth about her past with anyone before, she felt exposed and frightened.

A Stronger Bond: Part 2

Postby Beodan Clathony on August 14th, 2015, 7:27 pm

"My past is not...good...I suppose we all have...things that..happen to make us...who we are today," Moxie began, setting a foreboding tone for the rest of her story. Beodan did not have a swell past either, but she had lived for a lot longer than he had, and many more terrible things could have happened to her in that extra time. He held her patiently, willing her to continue speaking. She spoke in her native language, and the words began to take on simple meanings. The words themselves meant nothing as he heard them, but what she was feeling at the time helped him fill in the gap in his knowledge of the language. Still, he was grateful for her translations.

She talked of home, her large family back in Mura. Large for him at least, he did not know his family. He had often wondered what they were like, and until a few years ago, if they would come to take him home. He was happy that she always had a home to go back to. “I would like to meet them, someday,” he said, watching her float around him, starlight in her eyes. She took his hand and pressed it just beside her breast. He was confused by the gesture, until she continued, “Emptiness resided here.. But now. No longer empty.” She uncovered his hand and smiled at him. He smiled warmly back at her, happy that they had both successfully filled the voids within them. If her void had been anything like his, he was glad it was behind her. He caressed the soft skin under his hand comfortingly, assuring her that the void would stay filled as long as he had something to say about it.

Suddenly, the smiled died on her face, causing his own to morph into a concerned pout. Her heart beat faster against his fingers and he moved his other hand to her side to offer further support. She started to talk in whispers, speaking of her horrible past abuse. The normally tame Kelvic’s eyes burst into flames of anger. The fire in his eyes burned brighter as she continued. He had taken advantage of her, the bastard! What kind of sick being could stoop so low. He kissed the tears from the ends of her eyes, not wanting to let them fall. Though his own were starting to break out, feeling what she was remembering strongly. He experienced the depth of her hurt, the ultimate empathy. So when she next told him that the man was dead, he was righteously glad that the man was dead, but sorry that he had not been their to help take the main from the life he had been wrongfully gifted. She then confessed how the event had affected her mindset, and he felt how torn up she was about it.

“You are everything to me, my world, my desire, my love, my hunger, my thirst. You can never be an.. object,” he promised, spitting the fowl word out like a piece of tainted grass. “I will be here to catch you every time,” he murmured, picking up her chin with a finger and gazing into her eyes. He hoped she knew she was not to blame for any of what had happened, it wasn’t somehow what she deserved. He did not hold it against her. He wanted to bring her thoughts away from her dark past, and so he began to tell his own story. “Want to hear about me? I never knew my family, so there is no one to miss really. I hoped for a time that they would show up one day, and say ‘we missed you son, come home!’ but that day never came.” He looked up at the dotted heavens, cleared his throat and continued, “So I was on my own growing up for the most part. A nice old woman took me in for about a year or so, taught me how the world worked. People were very mean to me, throwing rocks and beating me, just ‘cause of what I am. People tried to force me to work for them in the fields, but I wouldn’t do it so they whipped me bad, it felt like I was in pieces.” He winced and scratched his back, over a particularly dense crisscrossing of scars.

“The woman found me like that, bleeding into the dirt. She let me live, and I will be forever thankful,” he said roughly, his voice filled with emotion. “I stayed with her after that, until I could take care of myself. I got a tent and have lived in the woods ever since!” he finished with a flourish. “I’ve never left the area around Syliras, so don’t have any grand adventures under my belt. But yeah, that’s my life so far.” The physical punishment was in the past, and he did not let it bother him. The woman had done a good job of teaching him to be a forgiving young man, something he was thankful for, though he had not appreciated it at the time.

Beodan's statement eased some of the guilt away, as he told her that she was no object, but much more to him. Moxie felt guilty for the way her past made her feel towards getting intimately close to others. She was not scared of men, she would be friendly and be nice, it was only when they started getting close that made her want to run, to hide, to escape the tumultuous emotions that stirred inside her from the contact. He lifted her chin, looking deeply into her eyes, she stared back into her bondmates gaze becoming lost once more in the feelings of love and compassion she felt so deeply for him.

The deep voice she came to love, tore her from her thoughts, as he wove his story for her. Telling her of his own past, the hurt, the pain, how he was treated because of what he was, no family, no home, but an old woman who was kind to him. She sent many blessings and gratitude to wherever the old woman was for being kind to him. If she had not, then she would never have had him here with her now, everything that happened to one in the past, leads them to their present. Her eyes swelled with compassion as she felt his emotions from telling his story. She knew his past was hard, that he wanted a family, so she embraced him in a hug, tightly wrapping her arms around him, "We are family now.." Moxie whispered in his ear, "No more pain.. hurt.. worry.. We are one now. Past pain..leads us to present..Enduring the pain of our past..it..awakens us..makes us stronger." Moxie said in a faint voice, as it trailed away. She knew she could use the power from the mark of Avalis to view his past, but she would never intrude on that with him, preferring to let him tell her when ever he was ready.

Moxie ran her hands along his broad back, softly tracing the scars with her fingertips soothing, reassuring him that he no longer would be treated as such. Her hands then traveled slowly to his shoulders as she used them to lean her up, planting a small and pleasant kiss on his lips, "Forever." She vowed in her native tongue, looking him in the eyes smiling. Moxie wanted to always have him in her life, the thought of him ever leaving her made her feel as if she would break into tiny pieces. He was a part of her, a portion of her heart and soul, she could not live if he were to ever leave her, and that in itself brought up a question that frightened her, "Danny.. Would you ever leave me? I mean... Can you if you wanted to?... I don't ever want to lose you and the thought it... well... It would kill me if I lost you..." Moxie explained the best she could, hoping the feeling of deep sadness coursing through her would get the point across, as it mingled with fear across their bonded link. She kept her eyes on his, hoping his answer would be no, that he would never leave her side, hoping that he could promise to always be there for her.

A Stronger Bond: Part 2

Postby Beodan Clathony on August 15th, 2015, 6:45 pm

That was right, they were family now. Anything adversity they had to face they would combat it together, for better or worse. Beodan pressed his face in her hair, hiding himself from the world. This talk was bringing up painful memories, and it was causing a swell in his social phobias. Moxie soothed him, drawing aimless lines on his back, and his anxiety was dampened, but not quelled completely. Enough to bring up his head to look at her though, offering a small smile. He was glad they had done this, despite the side effects. He almost would have prefered that she read his past, though it was somewhat relieving to talk about it with someone.

She pushed off his shoulders so that for once the top of her head was even with his. Her lips graced his in a brief, chaste kiss. "Forever," she said happily, in that musical voice of hers. "Forever," Dan echoed, rougher than her tone had been, but still possessing a little melody. His intention for the word mimicked hers, as he grinned to return her smile. “Danny.. would you ever leave me? I mean… Can you if you wanted to? … I don’t ever want to lose you and the thought it… well… It would kill me if I lost you,” his love asked tentatively, her voice and the link overflowing with sadness. In the middle of her speech, the Kelvic had begun to shake his head. “No no no no. That is like saying can you just start flying and never come down, it’s not possible and it doesn’t even come to mind. You could.. cut the bond, if you wanted to. Please don’t! You wouldn’t die if you cut it, but I… I would not want to live,” he expressed passionately, pain evident in his brown eyes.

“Just.. Don’t talk about it, okay? I don’t.. I can’t. Please? I’ll always be here,” his tongue tripped over the words as his mind became nervous, thoughts changing too fast for proper speech. He kissed her cheek, just off of the corner of her mouth, to show her he did not mind her bringing it up this once. He did not tell her that the bond would dissolve over time if she abused or neglected him, but he did not think that would be an issue. Frankly it was not worth saying. The light of the sun no longer heating him, the cool water was growing colder by the second. “Do you want to get out now?” he asked, gesturing to the rocky bank, “We should start the trip back soon.”

Beodan was talking Kontinese, although it was poor, it still made her grin in swell with pride. Him learning her language meant more to her then he would possibly ever know. It was not easy to find other's she could fluently talk with in her native tongue, and her bondmate learning simple words was the start of something beautiful between them, or so she thought anyways.

Moxie's bondmate started shaking his head as she sputtered on about him leaving her, explaining to her that she could severe the bond if she wanted to. The thought made her sick to her stomach, pain swelled in her chest not just hers but his too, amplifying the emotion. Before she could respond, he went into a begging panic, to not talk about it, asking her please in Kontinese as he tripped over the words, his nervousness seeping through the link, as he kissed her she decided now was the right time to respond as the pain was still hurting her, as if her heart was breaking slowly just thinking about it, "I could never... would never leave you.. I love you Danny.. With out you it would be like... Syna with out Leth.. It just could never be possible to live with out one another.. I promise I will always be yours and you will always be mine.." Her voice cracked a little with the intense emotions she was feeling towards her bondmate, passion, love, and possessiveness seeped through her as she looked longingly into his eyes, "Mine forever." She said in Kontinese, taking his lips once more in a kiss that was filled with the possessiveness she was feeling over him.

The mere thought of someone taking him from her, another woman at that, made her swell with jealousy for a few breaths. She could not and would not lose him. Beodan was hers, her heart and soul resided with the shadow of his presence, her heart beat for him and him alone, and if he ever were taken away it would no longer beat it would stop, she would have nothing left to live for or look forward too any longer.

The water was becoming much cooler, it did not bother her as much as it probably was Beodan and he gestured asking if she was ready to leave. A childish pout graced her lips at the thought of having to leave this moment behind, but it diminished as she knew they would have many more similar moments in the future. She nodded her head and swam to the bank, lifting her petite body from the darkened water. "Beodan.. Would you... I mean if you don't... I uhm.. Well I.." Moxie fumbled over the words she was trying to get out, a blush apparent upon her pale skin at the proposal she was about to give to her bondmate. Inhaling a deep breath to soothe her anxiety of the matter, she continued, "Live with me.. Please?" She finally asked, casting her eyes to the side so she would not see his face if he rejected her offer, "I do not want to be away from you.. more then I have to." Moxie explained further, her voice holding a tremor as her nerves made her shake a little.

She hoped he would say yes, that they could live together and perhaps one day find a larger place to call home. There were cottages at the outpost, it seemed he would be happier there. They could save and buy a cottage if he wanted to, expand it a little if need be, and live happily out away from the city so he could work with his herbs still and she could practice her medicine on animals to become a veterinarian. They could live a happy life or at least Moxie thought so, if he accepted her offer. She chewed on her lower lip, hoping that he would indeed stay by her side and be the one she came home too or vice-versa.

A Stronger Bond: Part 2

Postby Beodan Clathony on August 16th, 2015, 8:15 pm

"I could never... would never leave you.. I love you Danny.. Without you it would be like... Syna without Leth.. It just could never be possible to live without one another.. I promise I will always be yours and you will always be mine.." Moxie comforted, her musical voice quavering with emotion in a gentle vibrato. He looked in to her violet eyes and saw only raw truth. He stroked her cheek gratefully, and whispered, “I am yours,” to punctuate her thought. Her gaze was overwhelming with the power of her emotions, seeking to drown him in a flood of devotion and passionate love. Just that one look made him feel at ease, and sent feelings of his own back at her. "Mine forever," she murmured in her home tongue. His analysis of the slightly altered phrase from before was cut short by his bondmate taking him in a dominate kiss. He was flustered for a moment, then relaxed, letting her claim him as her own.

Beodan could feel his body heat up as she kissed him, his lips and cheeks becoming flushed as her became more impassioned. He pulled away, his lips throbbing, gasping for breath. He gave her a happily awestruck smile. In response to his question, she made a cute pout, obviously adverse to the idea of leaving so soon. But she nodded and began to swim to the shore, with him only to strokes behind her. He braced his palms against the rocky edge, and pulled himself out of the water, the muscle on his back and arms clearly defined for a moment. She was already standing, her lip between her teeth. He stood, and cocked his head, wondering what was on her mind. Water dripped from the ends of her hair and every angled part of her naked body. Silver drops filled with moonlight fell and shattered as they hit rock. "Beodan.. Would you... I mean if you don't... I uhm.. Well I.." she started, a blush creeping onto her face. She took a breath, and finished, “Live with me.. Please?”

Dan was overcome with joy, he had hoped, but never thought she would ask this soon! Trying bounce in place, he looked at his soon-to-be-roommate. Her eyes were to the side, as if very interested in a small puddle that they had made. He closed the gap between them and placed his hands on her hips, a wide grin on his face, “Of course! I have been wanting to since the moment we bonded, but never wanted to ask.” He would be fine with any situation they found themselves in, but there was something quite cozy about her small room in the depths of a castle. He did not mind the people so much as long as she was with him. They would find happiness wherever they went, so long as they were with each other.
