Koha ) Basic Information Race: Vantha/Inarta Birthday & Age : Spring 487; 24years Gender: Female Height: 5'8" Weight: 155 Languages: Vantha - Common - Nari Physical Description Koha has a belt comprised of bits and pieces from her travels around the world, that make music as she moves. She wears tiny bells and chains around her ankles and bangles that cover her wrists. She has a fondness for jewelery that rivals an Eypharians, cowrie shells, beads, jewels and ivory, which she weaves throughout her dreaded hair. She has accumulated many costumes for her performances, but traditionally wears a long sleeved, floor length dark green brocade riding coat over her Bryda and Vinati. Though she prefers the traditional Inarta clothing, she has taken great care to add as much of her own flair to them, from gold threads and chains, silk sashes, and gems. All costume, but quite showy and elegant. When she performs her costumes are elaborate but tasteful; furs, feathers, leather, jewels - all texture, shimmer and exotic - carefully chosen to be a visual aid of it's own. Character Concept Koha is a drifter, moving around and never settling down. She tells many stories, some true, some just for entertainment, but she never gives much personal history unless it is a funny anecdote. Smiles, often mischievous, are quick, ready and given freely, as well as her laughter. She is rarely cruel, even when unkindness has been given to her, she would rather just move to another place then have to deal with any trouble. Koha has a very playful nature, which is often mistaken for flirtation, though she does do a fair share of that as well. She is very social, often striking up conversations with anyone around her, telling stories, jokes, or satisfying her curiosity of the world by asking a series of questions. While very social, she is also distant, not inclined to keep friends, lovers, or any residence for very long. She tends to disappear as it suits her; one moment you are having what seems to be a deep philosophical discussion, the next moment you catch a glimpse of a bejeweled back as she walks out of the door without a goodbye. Koha does her best to keep her Ranuri a secret, but often fails because of her open nature. Character History Koha's mother was a Concubine when she was inadvertently knocked up by a silver-tongued bard who managed to score her company. Unceremoniously removed from the Garden after she was found to be pregnant, the two traveled to Alvadas, where Koha's father became a clothier at the Tattered Thread, specializing in costumes. Koha spent her days with her mother, learning about beauty. At night and on the weekends she spent most of her time with her father, sewing, singing and dancing. When she was just seven, Koha's mother left her and her father, saying she would send for Koha when it was her time to learn more about the art of women. For the next two years Koha spent all of her time with her father, helping out at the Tattered Thread, performing with other players, or going solo, playing about the streets of Alvadas. She adored her father and everything he taught her, and hardly missed her mother most of the time. Times were not all good, however, and Koha's father had a tendency to gamble away everything. After a particular streak of bad bets, Koha went with her father to join a traveling performance troupe, leaving her beloved Alvadas behind. Having grown in such a city of flux, she was not sad to leave, but more excited to see what it was like in the rest of the world. Her father made and mended costumes, played in the band and often cooked for the troupe. But after awhile things changed and it was time to move on. Another city, another caravan, her father was full of wild dreams and ideas and was always ready to go. Koha learned quickly that all of her belongings should be easily carried and packed in a moments notice. She loved her life. She was happy always to be going somewhere new. However her time to become a woman caught up to her, and upon menarche she was sent to her mother. For the next four years she learned how to become a perfect companion; how to read emotions, look beautiful, formal education and etiquette. Koha absorbed all of this with zeal, never having been educated in anything, learning to read and write was a great pleasure. She read poems, songs, and was trained in how to compose a few of her own. She found that she was fond of bathing, perfume, makeup and the art of seduction. She did not, however give up her tomboyish nature completely, and would often run off in the night to cause innocent mischief and trickery. She was as happy learning to be a companion as she was performing. However, late one night her father came to them and told them that Koha was to be married to a young Drykas man. He lost Koha in a bad bet. Koha's mother silently readied her for her for the trip, promising to keep the things she could not take safe should she come for them. The man she was married to was an abusive drunk, who took pleasure in torturing her. He died after drinking himself to death. After five years of such a relationship, Koha find herself quite alone, unsure of how to start out and live life again. Training (Skills, Arcana, Gnosis, Lore)
