Squwaky things are always welcome (Conrad)

[Aleksi]

6th of Winter, 510 AV

Aleksi woke up rather early that morning, dressing up and doing all the washing within the tent because as the Winter was moving on, it was getting colder and colder. Her clothing was typical now, tight leather pants and a leather top, along with high fur boots. She wasn't wearing a cloak today, just because she was planning on staying near the tent, with Luc.

Once she was done with all the boring stuff, she peeked through the white tent, walking out a second later. The sun was rising and it was quite chilly. Luc was laying on the ground and it sounded like he was snoring, so she came next to him, leaning in and yelling "Boo!", which of course made the large cat jump on her and pin her to the ground. He wasn't sleeping after all, he was just playing with his owner.

Aleksi loved how her morning started, especially with Luc being this playful. She went back into the tent, dragging the black fur coat our and putting it over a rock before she sat down. It was time to relax, think about things and figure out what to do during the winter, especially now with Tebridiar by her side.

[Conrad]

Conrad crawled out of his small one person tent,rubbing the sleep out of his eyes though a big smile was on his face.
"Well a new day in a new and exciting city!" Conrad stretched himself trying to get the kinks out of his muscles. "Common little buddy lets go and search the market for a rabbit will ya? Since I didn't catch a rabbit I'll guess I'll have to go and buy the bones to practice a bit with my carving and magic don't we?" conrad looked around. "Euh little buddy?" Conrad looked back towards the tent as he heard a protesting squawk come from inside. "You not going? common it isn't that early isn't it?" Another protest came form inside. "Well fine, just stay here in the tent and don't make any mes will ya!" He reached inside the tent and pulled out the rucksack, fastening it around his waist."I am taking the nuts with me though!" He yelled to the parrot as he turned around.
"You aren't smart enough to trick me little buddy!" he laughed as he walked off.
Inside the tent the parrot just tucked his head back under his wing and went back to sleep, dreaming of having an owner that wasn't as weird as the one he had now.

Conrad walked through the city of endrykas for a while, his eyes darting around and taking in the new scenes laid out in front of him.
"This is great," He said to himself, rubbing in his hands with a look of pure glee on his face. "Lets find myself some bones and a quiet place here, I am itching to get started to make something without my master looking over my back and saying what I should do." He stopped walking when he saw a familiar face sitting on a rock, Was that aleksi? He looked a bit closer smiling when he confirmed it was her. "Hey Aleksi!" Hey yelled to her, starting to run.
I bet she could show me where I can find some malediction stuff
When he was nearly at her he tripped over a tent line he didn't see slamming face first into the ground right in front of her.
"Auch." he groaned in pain, the ground muffling it a bit, before he pushed himself back on his feet, scratching his scar while giving an embarased chuckle.
"Eh, hey there?"

Aleksi tried hard not to laugh, but she failed. Her arms wrapped around her stomach as she tried to stand up, offering him a hand to say hello. She still wasn't able to calm down for good, two minutes. Once she did, she managed to add quietly "Hey Conrad.... what a surprise to see you get up this early... even Drykas people tend to sleep in during the winter."

She was saying the truth, she actually was surprised by this, and even more by the fact that the man she guided to the city not too long ago fell down, face first, on the ground, right before her. There was someone more clumsy then Tebridiar, it seemed.

Aleksi's eyes roamed over the man's shoulders, lightly tilting her head as she figured something was missing. "Where's the squwaky thing?". Her fingers moved her hands back, pushing her hair over her shoulder as she did her best with trying not to think of what happened just a few minutes ago, and laugh all over again. She knew how annoying can it be if someone was laughing at you, especially over something as stupid as falling down, face first... and even more so with the fact that he was a man and Aleksi was a woman.

[Conrad]

Conrad just continued to look embarrassed as aleksi burst out laughing.
"Hey Conrad.... what a surprise to see you get up this early... even Drykas people tend to sleep in during the winter." Conrad just frowned at her surprise, he always had to get up early when he his father god a bit older to feed his fathers birds. He accepted aleksi's offer to help him up groaning a bit as his face hurt.
"Really, Dad always forced me to get up early, something about feeding the birds and sleeping when you are dead." he dusted his clothes off,
"Where's the squwaky thing?" Conrad just looked at aleksi with a confused look on his face. "Ah you mean my little buddy? He is still in the tent he got a bit of a morning temper." He shrugged not thinking much of it. "He would probably spout dirty words or other bad things the entire time, he likes to do that when he is cranky."
He shrugged."Say you know where the market is right? Could you show me where it is and where they sell stuff that they you can use in malediction?" Conrad said, assuming she knew what malediction was. "My master is gone so I can finally try and make something without him looking over my shoulder watching my any move." He smiled at that prospect, His master always nagged at him and took things away that he deemed to dangerous.
"Tell you what, if I make something and it is a safe thing you'll get it from me its only a practice thing anyway. What do you say about it? Deal?"

[Aleksi]

Aleksi giggled and shook her head lightly. Feeding the birds seemed silly to her, since well, Luc could feed on his own and so could Nott. Noticing him dust his clothes off, she pulled a strand of grass from his top while listening to him talk. The little bird seemed so adorable and she wanted to meet him a lot better.

Her eyes moved to him as he mentioned malediction and she just sighed, shaking her head "As I've said Conrad, me and magic are not such good friends... I know basics, but what exactly would you need, for that voodoo stuff of yours?"

Her fingers lightly moved along her top, pulling it just a bit lower to cover the bottom of her stomach. As soon as he made his last offer, she smiled and nodded "Well, why not.... but I'm not volunteering to be your test subject, just so you know..", winking at him, she looked back at Luc and grinned "This guy always seems to be happy... sometimes I wander what is going through his head.... um anyway, if you don't have anything against it, I'd love to meed the birdie a bit more.."

[Conrad]

"As I've said Conrad, me and magic are not such good friends... I know basics, but what exactly would you need, for that voodoo stuff of yours?"
Conrad eyes became as wide as saucers as she called the art of maledicition voodoo stuff.
"Well it is a bit disrespectful to malediction to call it voodoo stuff." Conrad said in a patient tone. "But I would need bones, I would prefer rabbit bones because I have a slight idea on how to work with those and what I can use them fore, though I wouldn't object to other types of bones, as long as it isn't form a sentient animal." Conrad said thinking if he needed some other stuff. "Well that is all I need for it." He smiled towards aleksi.
"Well, why not.... but I'm not volunteering to be your test subject, just so you know.." He just shrugged. "Sure I wasn't asking you to be one, though I would be gratefull If you found one for me, maybe some of the poorer drykas around here would do that for a few coins." He smiled as she began to talk to that overgrown cat of hers.
"um anyway, if you don't have anything against it, I'd love to meed the birdie a bit more.." Conrad began to laugh fairly loud after she asked that question.
"Sure you can meet my little buddy, though not now, he would probably be very annoying if we woke him up now. But maybe later today sure, I might have finished and tested one of my malediction pieces so why not?"

[Aleksi]

Aleksi nodded and sighed quietly, moving her eyes in an apologizing manner "I'm sorry, as I've said I do not know much about it Conrad, and as for the rabbit bones, well, I think Luc can be nice enough to catch you a fresh one", scratching Luc's head she winked softly and added "Go boy, get us a rabbit". The cat growled lightly and nuzzled against Aleksi's thigh, making her shake her head. "You won'd do anything without me, will you, you big, lazy pile of fur". Leaning down, Aleksi wrapped her arms around Luc's gigantic head, barely being able to reach half of it.

"Well, seems like we'll just have to go with him and he'll do all the work... I'll do the skinning and taking the meat, probably for dinner later on.. as long as I can have two teeth of the bunny, you should be secure with at least one... and besides, I still have some deer bones behind the tent..", Aleksi added with a bright smile on her face. She missed hunting, even though at times she really hated it, cause she hated killing animals. If one needed lunch though, what could one do?
"Oh and, yes, of course... maybe we can see if he likes carrots... I've heard birds like carrots... and I'll bring some dinner over for you as well, what do you say?"

[Conrad]

"I'm sorry, as I've said I do not know much about it Conrad, and as for the rabbit bones, well, I think Luc can be nice enough to catch you a fresh one"
Conrad just eyed the big cat with raised eyebrows.
"You sure that is a good idea?"conrad wondered, aleksi bussy with nuzzling with the overgrown cat."I mean, I need the bones mostly intact and I doubt that that big cat can do that." He inced a bit closer to the big cat, lightly poking the cat's jaws. "See, those things would break those bones into so many pieces I wouldn't be able to use them anyway." Conrad backed away from the cat as he said that. Not really comfortable with him able to bite in his hand..... or any other part of his body.
"I'll do the skinning and taking the meat, probably for dinner later on.. as long as I can have two teeth of the bunny, you should be secure with at least one... and besides, I still have some deer bones behind the tent.."
Conrad just looked at aleksi with suprise as she asked for two teeth of it.
"Well I don't know, complete parts always work better then things where stuff is missing, so if you wouldn't mind I would like to have the entire thing."
Conrad smiled at the offer of the deer bones."Well sure, but can you tell me what those animals are? You know some information about them, I can't maledict something if I don't know what they are know for or special things that they have." Conrad told her. "You know like good hearing or anything other like that."
Conrad smile got a bit bigger when aleksi began thinking about giving carrots to his bird.
"Shouldn't you keep those carrots for that horse kelvic you have at your side, I always heard horses liked carrots!"

[Aleksi]

Aleksi smiled at Conrad and nodded, her fingers lightly scratching the cat's head before she whispered, somewhat amused by this all "Well, Luc does not have to kill with his jaws, you know... and catching a bunny this way would be kind of pointless, since it would take hours.... I can send Luc off to catch one to check it out while we go to the market and see if there's something interesting there"

Her fingers moved over the palm of her left hand, while the cat was staring at it. It just stood up, licking the palm and running off between the tents. Aleksi's eyes followed Luc for a bit before they moved over to Jarhal, grinning and adding again, quietly "Oh and don't worry about carrots, Nott has just enough of them and well, if more is needed, I'm not lazy, I'll get up and buy some.... Besides... do you think a parrot can eat more the one carrot?"

Giggling quietly, she couldn't help herself but to think of the parrot nibbling on the carrot. That would be so cute, especially if the little guy would talk while he did so.

[Conrad]

Well, Luc does not have to kill with his jaws, you know... and catching a bunny this way would be kind of pointless, since it would take hours.... I can send Luc off to catch one to check it out while we go to the market and see if there's something interesting there"
Conrad shrugged, "Well no problem for me, if you think he can catch a rabbit without destroying his bones no problem for me." A small giddy smile came over conrads face when she mentioned the market. "Sure, I might find somebody who would care to teach me some stuff I have been wondering about." he looked at the overgrown cat as it ran away probably off to catch a rabbit.
"Oh and don't worry about carrots, Nott has just enough of them and well, if more is needed, I'm not lazy, I'll get up and buy some.... Besides... do you think a parrot can eat more the one carrot?" Conrad began to snicker when aleksi said that.
"You never saw my little buddy eat right? He is very possessive of his food and refuses to share, even when he can't finish what he has. He would probably annoy tebridar so much she would rip her own hair out."
