Weekend Challenge: 1/16/16 through 1/17/16

As we discussed in chat late friday evening, the site could benefit from some writing prompts and challenges. To that end, we've decided to start a new series of challenges for the weekend. The first weekend challenge ever is going to be an easy one.

Solo Challenge!

Write one solo thread - 5 posts minimum, 1k words per post - for a total of 5k words towards advancing one or more skills. You have until monday AM to do so. "Winners" will get to skip the grading que (I'll grade their threads personally) and get a nifty siggy badge to add to their signatures if they'd like.

Sign up below if you want to participate. Also leave your thread links here once they are completed so I know what to grade.

Someone will have to volunteer to grade mine if I participate as a PC.

I shall withdraw my entry for I was much too strung out on pain releivers for my toothache at the weekend. If you got up to any writing I'll still be happy to grade yours, Goss.

I have completed my very first solo on this site. I tried something different since my old style didn't draw out the writing very well. I learned a few things, and I think I used 'her' too much, maybe. I hope it's readable. 1k+ words/post.

5 hours to do with a 2 hour break. I'm a little worn out.
