Tail sighed as be listened to the spirit with mere awe. He was surprised, perhaps even flabbergasted at the sigjt, when the spirit had chosen to somewhat cooperate with simple conversation. The Pycon wiped whatever remaining snow that the spirit threw at him off the bench and onto the now disturbed snow. He took his clay feet and hanged them on the edge, swinging them back and forth and waited as Levi spoke to the spirit.

The process of the creation of the soulmist. The watching of the process was one of those that Tail hadn't seen or possibly would see again if he doesn't meet another Spiritist, just like Levi. Though, Lhavit is a big place and who knows how many people he could meet. They'll all be different and never the same person. Though, he could meet the same person time after time. But, anyways. The Pycon watched Levi as he handed the Soulmist to the greedy Caronis Verola who snatched it with pleasing hands. And quickly inhaled it like he starved. If, ghosts could even starve.

It seemed to have done the trick. Caronis materialized and became more visible. The man had a bit of age to him. Though, his death wasn't because of old aging so it seems. His countenance was one of those looks who was always prized of his work and placed his work first. As if to say, "My work was one of the best that any mortal could've seen." Those type of people. Though, but more greedier. And scrawny in a way. Helpless, without ones work being around to boast about. Tails could understand. Though, he couldn't relate to Caronis. Besides he's a clay like race with the ability to read people's auras.

Even that had set the old man Caronis on edge. Being an Aurist. How, how of being a magic user be so... Bad? Melancholy? Was magic really a curse, or was it a gift? Tails had always seen it as a gift. Especially when it came to Auristics. Thanks, to his inheritance, all he wanted lately was to learn of a lot of things before he sets off to the outside of the world again. But, he would have to learn a lot more to become satisfied with all of the material. And the Pycon was looking forwards to learning not just Auristics, but other magics as well. Depending on the magic. The Pycon wanted to get to a point in magic use to where he could not overwhelm himself. And the others around him of course.

If he conceded into "Overgiving," then the magic would take control of the Pycon or anyone else who had decided to give in, and eventually die. Be it, self-combustion. Or, just a natural implosion. There are many ways that the magic can concede your life. Tail just hopes, that he wouldn't have to concede into the magic. Though, the Pycon had been using it a lot lately. But, he could muster to find other things to do. That doesn't involve with magic using. Tail, kept swinging his legs while Levi conversed some more with the Spirit.

Tails nodded as Levi gestured his head towards the Pycon. "Yes, yes. Fine. No magic."The Pycon said boyishly. He waved his hand in slight disgust, but as he placed his clay hand down he turned his countenance into a slight smile. Expressing the fact that he's fine without using the magic.

Ah, the Kainyte gem. Tails wasn't to knowledgeable on the Gems. But, from the work of this man Caronis, the Kainyte Gem must be worth of value. Levi asked Mr.Verola again where and what happened to the gem. And as Caronis explained, he grew mad. He stated that someone had finished the man off just shortly after he had completed the Gem. Why would anyone want to kill the man? Who would do something of the sort? Killing other people is wrong, and not a necessity. Unless, they're trying to kill you, but that gives the other an excuse to fight back.

Though, using Auristics isn't to difficult. The Pycon could plainly see that Caronis was very upset of the person who ended up killing him. He didn't state who. But, it was a possibility that it was someone who he hadn't been fond of. The Kainyte Gem was stolen from Caronis. And left here at the Sundial Circle? But who would bury the gem here? If it was even berried? And who would even chose to drop it off here at a place like this? Wouldn't one sell it for prized money if it held such value? If someone held great extent to just wanting to kill the man and succeed?

Levi had suggested a possession? But, really? An offer to be possessed? What if the spirit chooses to not want to exit Levi? What then, and what kind of protocol would the two have to follow? How would everything be... Settled. "Excuse me?"The Pycon asked as he stopped swinging his legs in boredom. Curiosity mostly intrigued his tone, but a bit of anxiety as well. He stood up with his fox tail swinging side to side as if it could think for itself. "How would this possessing thing turn out for the both of you two? What are the effects and consequences?"

[color=#004000]"It's simple. I possess him. What more do you want? I'll attempt to show him some of my memories to at least guide him so he could help me find my petching Gem. The one... That was stolen for me. Ohhh, that ignorant and obedient self centered rat. If I could I'll chop that guy in thousandths and use his cut up pieces into another gem and curse it with instant death to others who touch it."
Tail stood with shoulders tensed as the man spoke with such disgust. But the man ended up taking a few breaths before he spoke. "Alright sir Levi, sorry for that. If you don't mind?"

[Sundial Circle]To Sense Strange Things, or to See?[Levi]

It was easy to see why Tail would view Levi’s offer to be possessed as a risky decision. The spiritist knew that there was a risk to the offer too. There was the possibility that the ghost is actually very powerful and skilled in possession, leaving Levi helpless in his own body. There was the possibility that Caronis would try to stay in control of Levi’s body against the spiritist’s will. However, Levi very much doubted such would happen. This was a man who was obsessed with finding his precious gem, not in trying to recreate and feel as though he were alive again via possession. Even if the ghost did try to refuse to give back control, Levi could still lock his body of all movement or even expel the ghost from his body by force if Carnois was in fact weak in Spiritism.

”It is as Mr. Verola says.” Levi further explained to Tail, ”If he possesses me I can try to access the memories of the day he died, although I can access only a small portion of his memories. It will still help and I am confident he will not take advantage of this. Do not be alarmed if I start acting and talking like Mr. Verola though.” Even as the spiritist said this, he glanced at the ghost and noticed that the greedy expression on their face was only getting stronger. Warning signals went off in Levi’s mind, but he was still confident that this would be nothing troublesome for him to handle.

The spirit’s bitter and spite filled threats against his killer were ignored by Levi; such a reaction was to be expected, though he still frowned slightly in displeasure upon hearing such violent words. The ghost’s reason for remaining could be easily extended to two things: finding his masterpiece gem, and exacting revenge against whoever it was that killed him and stole the gem. Revenge… it was one of the most common but most volatile reason for a spirit to remain. Also the easiest from which to slip into insanity. Levi sincerely hoped that Caronis would pass on after finding his gem, but even that was uncertain.

Naya floated by Levi, watching him and the older ghost. She tilted her head at Levi as if questioning him, “You always ask for them to possess, I guess that’s your best method of learning how to help.”

”Yes… yes it is.” Levi replied to his sister, eyes intent on Caronis. He sat on the ground, cross-legged, and nodded to the old man, ”Alright. You may start now.” The spiritist closed his eyes and waited for the ghost. Caronis looked down at the younger man, and from thin hawkish lips withered with age… he grinned.

“Finally!”

The ghost moved into Levi, his ethereal form disappearing into the man’s body

The sensation of possession was always interesting to Levi. It was a familiar one, but it was always unusual to feel his body be permeated with the chill embrace of soulmist while his limbs jerked and moved against his own will. From the sensation and strength of Caronis’ soulmist, it felt as though his ability at possessing his body was roughly similar to that of Naya’s. If that was the case, Levi had to settle back and diminish his own presence within the body and allow Caronis to grab at the strings controlling his corporeal body. His eyes flickered open, darting about. He slowly lifted his hands, clenching them cautiously and looking down on them. Caronis, in control of Levi’s body, grinned and laughed. Yet Levi inside his mind did not care.

-----------------

Now, let me take a look… His physical sense now closed off, his mind drifted around to view the flashes of Caronis’ memories that were mixing with his own. His mental hands grasped for these swift and fleeting impulses within the psyche of the ghost. A family… he thinks… he was married with a daughter and son… jewels of brilliant colours… lots of jewels with a feeling of… admiration and… pride. Especially pride.

Wait this scene was different. He was working but his wife was yelling at him, angry about… not caring for his family? Now there was no family… they left… leaving him only his work. That’s all that mattered to him. Now there was his son… grown up but also angry. Someone was sick… daughter and wife… need money for the treatments… but he refused and gruffly brushed the son aside and out of his workshop.

That memory fleeted out of his grasp, but no clues so far. He had to reach further, further towards the end of his days, the final memory. Then appeared in his mind, blaring and bright, filled with raw emotion… anger and resentment. That was the one. His hands stretched out, and he saw it. He was murdered here, near the Sundial, while admiring his gem by… oh gods… that person killed him? Suddenly though his attention was brought back to the physical world.

hWHat the Hai was Caronis doing with his body?!

----------

Carnois laughed triumphantly with Levi’s voice, “Finally… I remember… I remember where it was! My gem, my masterpiece, my ultimate creation! I know where that petching son of a vagik hid it!” The man hunched over and dashed towards a spot in the gardens around the Sundial, muttering to himself, “Around here around here... aha! Here!” Standing over a particular part of the garden he knelt down and began scooping up snow down to the ground below and began digging into the vegetation and earth with his bare hands.

“Hey… Mr. Caronis? Please stop, what are you doing?” Naya asked cautiously, clearly worried for Levi.

“None of your concern girl, I know where it is thanks to this lad!”

Mr.Verola, that is enough. Levi’s voice echoed in the ghost’s mind.

“What?! No you stay out of this and I’ll dig it out with my bare hands!” Levi's body shouted, seemingly to empt space.

Mr. Verola, I have seen what I needed, I now know what happened. Now…. Get. Out.

Levi’s body suddenly froze and tensed up, stopping his feverish digging. A blast of mental will coursed through his mind and the ghost hurtled out of the spirtiist’s body, confused and annoyed. “The Hai was that for?!”

Levi dusted his hands off and glared at the ghost, ”That was for making me dig the dirt with my bare hands… yes the gem is here, but more importantly… I know who killed you.”

[Sundial Circle]To Sense Strange Things, or to See?[Levi]

Postby Tail on February 16th, 2016, 2:26 pm

Tail slid off the bench as he grown exhausted of sitting around and doing nothing."Well. I hope you find something Levi."Tail took his steps towards the Sundial. Which pointed the direction towards Tail and the bench. Though, sundials the Pycon didn't understand much of. But, he knew that they could show people the time. If Tail was tall enough. He would be able to see it. But, currently it is not time to take a tour. Now, Tails needed to focus on Levi and Mr. Verola.

Mr. Verola, happily obliged with a greedy mix. To posess the Spiritist. Though, Tail was uncertain of how this turn of event will end up. The Pycon crunched snow lightly as he stopped towards the three. The process of the possession went fairly quick, though to Tails eyes it was... Strange. Uncommon. How could anyone be so... Chilled with it? Tail was confused and worried for his new acquaintance. He didn't know what to think of him. Awkward. Calm. Hard wired. Pride. Strange it was just all strange to the Pycon.

He peeked around the corner if the Sundial like a mere cowardice. Though, curiisity struck the foxy Pycon. And he just wanted to make sure that Levi wouldn't self combust or anything. If there was one thing about people like Caronis that Tail had known of, there greed will change them. And changing can be a good thing, or it can be malicious at the same time.

Tail had just hoped that the possession by Caronis wasn't a mistake. Certainly, though, he had helped the spiritist discover where the gem might've been. Perhaps it wasn't buried where Levi (Caronis) was digging. But, it still was buried. Though, the Pycon had promised to not use auristics. He needed to explore more of this Mr. Verola. What kind of person was he? How did he become so obsessed with his work that he didn't tkae any other miscellaneous extremities to fulfill the needs of himself and others.

His obsession was what caused his death. Was he really in depth so much with his work that he'll do anything to keep it safe? What if this spirit is playing a trick on them? But, Levi was able to endure a bit of Caronis memories. And he was able to figure out... Who killed him?"You managed? How certain?"The Pycon asked curiously, he added a hint of confusion to the mix and was certain that someone or something did kill him and it just wasn't his life at work in constant gear?

"I can use some Auristics to figure out more. But, since I'm not very good at it yet I might have to suffer a bit. I'll be fine though?"The Pycon strolled over towards the spiritist. Tail stopped near the spiritist and found some sort of... Comfort, safety, near the man? It was modest. Sensible."If something happens to me, you can take me to the Solar Wind Apartments. I have a room there that I can rest at. If you won't mind?"The Pycon asked as he looked up to Levi then to Caronis.[color=#004000]"Hai, ain't no petchin' way yer going use that Auristics on meh. You Shyke. Hadn't you heard me say before, no Auristics?"
The Pycon just stood there. "I don't care what you want... I'm just trying to help you Mr. Verola. And we don't need the attitude. Now, if you let me help you. I need concentration and for your cooperation. It would make things easier if you just listen."

The ghost stared at him with shadowy eyes. It glared with pure disgust. The Pycon wasn't alarmed of the spirit, and did not feel any manipulation at all."Well?"The Pycon asked with a little ignorance."Ergh, fine, fine, fine. Go along with it. For petching sake."The man replied. He was obviously unhappy about it, but hopefully this can help them find out who killed him and where the gem was actually buried.

"Thank, you. I'll start now. Just stay where you are."Tails sat crossed legged with his fox Tail curved around the back of his small bode. And the Pycon, studied the spirit with pure concentration. And everything grew silent around him as he focused on the spirit to unlock anything. Anything can be helpful, but history should be the last bits and pieces that he should find. Though, he'll need it to find the gem. This, will surely withdraw a lot of energy from the clay person.

The aura that the Pycon sensed was greatly filled with energy. Current of another source. Different. Unique in a way. He discovered a new scene of the man's history.... He was here... One day. Light shining happily down upon Synas Sundial. The man was... Mumbling to himself holding his gem... Tail grown slightly dizzy. He merely wanted to release bial from his abdomen. Though, he must keep moving. Only an expert can last longer then him.

There was another man. Roughly the same features of Caronis. The Son? He held a dagger in his hand. He was walking with pure stealth. And had a sterned countenance. One fulfilled with anger... Despair. The man hadn't noticed him and the younger one was right behind him ready to thrust. Oh.... Gods. The scenes not over yet. Killing his father was not enough. The boy took his father's gem and took out a spade from his cloak pocket. He dug a portion of the ground up and mumbled something in an angry whisper.

He hurried the gem... Behind the burrow. A bunny burrow. Adjacent to a pile of bushes. Bushes that had thorns. The boy then covered up the gem and threw the spade and dagger down through the depths of the trail that is covered by wildlife. Exhaustion had quickly overwhelmed him."Your... Son. Dagger. Spade... There. Gem behind... Bush."The Pycon dropped his head and was out cold. Sleeping, he was. Not dead, but tired. Be the Pycon pointed to where everything is before he passed out with exhaustion.

OOCSorry, was busy this weekend. Hope it alright. I like the ending though. Perhaps you can have Levi and Naya search through whatever wildlfie there is. :)

[Sundial Circle]To Sense Strange Things, or to See?[Levi]

Mind now cleared up from the fog of soulmist that had permeated his body, Levi turned towards Tail and answered his question. "I am fairly certain, I saw the memory of the last living day." He frowned after saying this, the image of Caronis' son still etched on his mind. It appeared that Caronis had a hazy memory of the details of that day. Should it be made known to the ghost that it was his murderer was his own son? The ghost's current existence was tied primarily to the gem he seeks, revenge secondary. It should be kept that way to ensure Caronis passes on after the gem is found. A vengeful ghost is not something Levi looked forward to dealing with.

Tail appeared to want to see for himself what had happened that day even at his own cost. They seemed so nonchalant about it, despite having explained the dangers of pushing past one's limits mere chimes ago. That worried Levi and the spiritist spoke up just as the aurist sat down to begin looking into the ghost's aura. "You don't have to do this Tail I already saw the memories. Tail..." He stopped; It was too late Levi realized as he saw the Pycon completely immersed in concentration, blind to all but the aura. His face twitched in concern only to sigh. There was no stopping the little aurist now.

The trio of ghosts and one spiritist looked at Tail with differing emotions, Levi with a restrained worry, Naya with childish curiosity, and Caronis with a sour sneer. Moments flowed by quietly until the flow was shifted by the Pycon's small and exhausted voice until that too ceased as the aurist passed out. Alarmed, Levi hurried to and knelt down by Tail's side, eyes darting to look over his small clay body. There seemed to be nothing out of the normal but how was he to be sure of that? What if Tail stopped breathing? Do Pycons breathe? The gentle rise and fall of the fox Pycon's chest answered that question. Seeing this Levi sighed in relief. Still, it amazed the spiritist that via auristics the history of a person could be observed. Truly it was a subtle but powerful ability.

"Is Mr. Tail okay?" Naya floated over and asked with worry. Levi nodded and replied, "He passed out, but other than that he seems alright... I hope." A little certain that Tail was not in critical danger, Levi rose and looked at Caronis, "Your gem should be behind the bush where you were digging earlier."

"Perfect perfect! At long last I can hold my masterpiece in my hands!" Caronis grinned and glided over to the spot. Levi slowly walked over but frowned in thought. Was that gem so important to him that it did not even matter that it was his son that killed him? That was the nature of a ghost's obsession, where all else becomes unimportant in comparison to their reason for remaining. It still puzzled Levi that Caronis seemed to completely fixated on the gem, not revenge even after being told it was his son who killed him. Kneeling in front of the half dug hole, Levi carefully scooped the dirt out. Naya floated down and helped out, small handfuls of dirt carried out on her projected soulmist. After a few ticks of digging the blue glint of a gem caught Levi's eye. He pulled the jewel out and showed it Caronis, "This is the gem, right?" He said, voice returning to its typical stoicism, "Take it."

"Haha! At long last!" Caronis shouted in triumph and snatched the gem, cradling it in his two ghostly hands with tender care, "I found it, I found it, I found it, I found it! My masterpiece!" Even as he celebrated, the soulmist that was his body slowly faded away, slowly but steadily. He laughed in joy, a terrible cackling sound. Most of his body almost gone now, the ghost stopped laughing and an expression of sullen sadness and realization graced his face once last time, "That's... it... nothing more..." Carnois wispily whispered before the ghost ceased to be. The gem fell back onto the ground, it's creator gone. Levi sighed and bowed his head and held his hands together in prayer, Naya following the same motion. "Dira, Queen of the Dead, receive and guide this weary soul to a new life, a better life than the one had. May death free him from obsession and delusion."

Finished his prayer, Levi looked at the fallen gem and picked it up. He held it up against the sunlight, turning it around to see it glint and shine. It was a nice gem... but nothing to obsess your life over. It was sad to think that Carnois life was so taken over by his craft that he disregarded everything else. He had a whole new life to walk a different path now. Levi rose and walked over to where he left Tail. The Pycon mentioned he lived in the Solar Wind Apartment which was Levi's place of residence as well. Carefully picking up the small clay being in his arms, Levi began the walk back to the apartment.

If you would like some criticism, focus more on Tails outward demeanor. You seem to write a lot about how Tail feels, what his plans are, or how he thinks a lot-- but you should try to put more of that effort to interacting. Not that this was bad! You did a great job. Admittedly I do this too, it's not a bad thing to write a lot about your characters inner self-- when I get in the zone of my PC I start thinking and feeling as them too and it just pours out, but I try remember to put just as much effort into my characters outward actions. :)
