Karin had now been laying for some time propped against the wall she had slumped against some bells previously. Darkness had slowly been settling on the buildings, but fortunately there were many people still around, fighters that she'd been watching as they pushed against the ever-steady stream of monsters.
They'd lost some ground in the last bell, and it was the reason the girl was now trying to snap herself out of her lethargic mood, lest she wound up dead as well as injured. Her right arm was throbbing, although the bleeding had stopped about a bell ago. She had tried to stem the flow, and to clean the wound, she'd gently rubbed it with the cleanest part of her shirt, but it had stung so much that her small excuse at doctoring didn't last long.
In reality, what they girl needed was the relative safety of the Southern Bastion. It was simply unfortunate that she didn't know how to get there. She'd seen some people in the distance before, seemingly picking up some injured people and taking them elsewhere, but she had been too far away to attract their attention.
So now she stood, shakily as the blood rushed to her head. To steady herself, she rested a hand against the wall, before pushing off and walking away from the battlefield. She'd run the gamut of emotions today, but now she was simply tired. Bone-achingly tired, from head to toe. What she would give for her bed.
However, all she could do was walk ahead, turning away from the battlefield and search for Ionu's Mercy, however fruitless that search might be.
