Quests, mini-sagas, and Trips can all be organized here as well working out timelines and points of travel and things PCs need to do along the way. Each PC however gets only one Plotnote for their individual PC. Groups get one as well. There is no limit on individuals posting saga or trip plotnote threads. [Xyse's Plotnotes] A welcome.

Postby Xyse on March 13th, 2016, 2:42 am

Hello, Mizaharians.

So, these are my plotnotes for Xyse -- it will contain multiple things. Character goals, a way to help me record Xyse's progression in a more OOC manner, some personal things I want Xyse to develop such as his Unarmed Combat Style (for now, unnamed!).

Feel free to post here with your own thoughts, critiques, regular comments on a variety of things - just keep it relevant, I guess. If it doesn't concern Xyse or myself, don't really want to see it! (Sounds self-centered, I know, but hey... These are -Xyse's- plotnotes, yes? >.> Got like the rest of Mizahar, ya know ya know? :3 I luv u, though. Yes, you. :*)

Anyway, feel free to make yourself at home.

[Xyse's Plotnotes] KTO: A Guide

Postby Xyse on March 13th, 2016, 6:01 am

[This post will be edited and edited and edited as I develop Xyse's combat style - OOC, I may be very near finished, but IC, Xyse won't have finished developing it all until he's made at least Expert- and he'll only Master everything completely as he becomes Master in Unarmed Combat, Expert in Acrobatics, Expert in Wrestling, and Expert in Bodybuilding. These are the same prerequisites for any others looking to Master the Combat Form.]

[Credit to Wikus, Saul, and other chat-goers for the name!]

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Klob Trei Op

Overview: This Style is an Offensive and Defensive Form both. It will rarely be used to kill, though of course, there will be situations where it will be used to permanently incapacitate someone or thing. KTO combines the use of strength, momentum, endurance, and flexibility, and at it's greatest form, small Kelvic bestial forms.

The aim of someone using this Style while in real life-or-death combat is the breaking of multiple bones simultaneously, and as such, only the most experienced may train a student to avoid immense injury.

The separate techniques created by Xyse are meant to be combined in combinations (combos) of three, prioritizing speed over power.

Katas
A student needs to demonstrate these perfectly to Xyse to gain their new belt.
Note: They shouldn't be exactly worded like this if this ever gets to the point where Xyse gets students, it shouldn't be copy/paste. Imagination, young kit.

Kairin
Xyse presses his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Kairin. The Rabbit swivels around and steps to the side. He takes a step backwards and tenses his legs. He throws a firm snap-kick forward and steps back into position. Xyse adopts a defensive stance, arms raised and ready to block incoming blows. The Rabbit twists his waist and pulls his left arm up and around in a warding block. He continues the motion by throwing a firm punch with your his hand. He dodges nimbly backwards as if to evade an imaginary foe. Xyse demonstrates his strength by performing a string of front kicks in swift succession.

Xyse presses his palms together and bows, the Form of Kairin complete.

Sako
Xyse presses his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Sako. He drops confidently into an Eagle fighting stance. He lashes out with a competent side kick. Xyse swivels around and chains another side-kick to the previous one. The Rabbit changes his stance smoothly and begins to circle attentively. He jabs the air with his fists, concentrating on speed and accuracy. He raises his right knee as high as he can and freezes like a statue. The man releases the stance and lets loose a powerful jump kick. He lands steadily on the ground, maintaining his balance with skill.

Xyse presses his palms together and bows, the Form of Sako complete.

Rhi-shen
Xyse presses his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Rhi-shen. He drops into the Horse stance and tenses his powerful leg muscles to remain perfectly still. He jumps forward and dives to the floor. Xyse rolls swiftly forward and rises to his feet with startling speed and fluidity. Xyse darts forward and cuts the air with a rapid roundhouse. The muscled fellow follows up the kick with a flurry of punches. He dodges nimbly this way and that, skilfully blocking with both arms as he does so. He raises himself up to his full height. Xyse lets loose a mighty uppercut with a roar of effort.

Xyse presses his palms together and bows, the Form of Rhi-shen complete.

Do-loi
Xyse presses his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Do-loi. He drops to the floor and sweeps his legs around in an arc. Xyse jumps forward and kneels, as if on the chest of a fallen victim. He pulls back his fist and strikes with all his might. He spins around to face the opposite direction. Xyse launches into a series of high kicks to demonstrate his flexibility and stamina. The man pumps his leg forward into a powerful side-kick. His arms become a blur as he blocks an imaginary series of strikes. Xyse comes to rest, breathing softly.

Xyse presses his palms together and bows, the Form of Do-loi complete.

Zikmahein
Xyse pressed his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Zikmahein. He draws himself back into a well-formed Cat stance. He begins to circle with wary precision, muscles tensed and ready to spring into action at any moment. He hurls himself backwards through the air, and land, surprisingly, on his feet. The man launches into a devastating combination of jab and hook punches, fists flying. He complements the punches with a pair of snap-kicks. He fakes a step backwards and let fly with an elegant, arcing moon-kick. He forms a blade with his hand and slices it firmly through the air ahead of him. He completes his motions and stand at rest.

Xyse presses his palms together and bow, the Form of Zikmahein complete.

Raik
Xyse presses his palms together and bow low, ready to perform the Form of Raik. The Rabbit adopts an aggressive stance and narrows his eyes to thin slits. Xyse darts forward and recoils suddenly as if to strike. The man rolls to the side and spring back to his feet. The Rabbit flings himself to the floor again and whips his legs around in a perfect sweep. Xyse is on his feet in a flash. The man demonstrates a deadly combination of joint locks as he overpowers an imaginary foe. The Rabbit kicks out in all directions with impressive speed and accuracy, as if fending off many foes. Xyse twists and lashes out with an elbow strike.

Xyse presses his palms together and bow, the Form of Raik complete.

Nexus
Xyse starts out with his hand extended in a reversed fist, the other tucked in, waiting to strike. The Rabbit takes the stance of the Cat and collects his thoughts for a moment. Xyse springs forwards and into the air. The man lands easily on his feet and launches into a string of blinding roundhouse kicks, aimed alternately at his imaginary opponent's midsection and face. Spinning around, he throws a backfist. Using his momentum, he spins again and slices the air with two whirlwind kicks. Reversing suddenly, and ducking a perceived blow, he sweeps the ground with his left leg. The Rabbit rolls forwards, spring to his feet, and resumes the Cat stance once again. Xyse throws both his closed fists forward in a horizontal arc to pound at the illusive foe's temples. The man brings up his right leg and, executing a perfect and powerful side-kick, finishes the form of Nexus.

Xyse presses his palms together and bow, the Form of Nexus complete.

Maniit
Beginning in a lotus position, Xyse places both palms flat on the floor. Springing into action, he throws three front punches, designed to shatter a hapless opponent's rib-cage. Recovering in an instant, he turns to the left and execute a powerful front kick. Looking quickly behind him, he throws a mule-kick at head level. Without changing his orientation, the man lifts his left leg and thrusts it out in a side-kick to the groin. Imagining another opponent rushing at him from the right, he performs the same manoeuvre in reverse. Dodging multiple opponents, he leaps into the air and performs a fully-extended back flip. Upon landing he immediately throws a series of rabbit punches to one of his nebulous foe's kidneys. Spinning around to face another enemy, the Rabbit quickly knees to the groin and, as his opponent doubles over in pain in his mind's eye, he smash his adversary’s face into his other knee. Recovering his balance, he calmly returns to a Horse stance.

Xyse presses his palms together and bow, the Form of Maniit complete.

Do-san
Xyse presses his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Do-san. Raising himself until he rests solely on his palms, he unfolds his legs and extends them straight up until he is performing a handstand. The Rabbit grab at the area where an opponent's head would be with his legs. Flexing his powerful back and leg muscles, he rips his opponent to the ground by his neck. Jumping up to his feet, he down-blocks to stop a kick from his grounded foe. Xyse drops into a perfect split and brings his knife-edge hand down onto his opponent's throat, only to meet an imagined block. Undaunted, he brings his legs together with incredible force and springs into the air. Seeing that his imaginary foe is returning to his feet, he strikes with an axe kick to the shoulder blade as he descends from his leap. The man quickly jumps forward and throws an uppercut into his opponent's midsection, driving his breath from him. As he descended, he quickly assembles himself back into a lotus position before he lands. The Rabbit has completed the Do-san form.

Xyse presses his palms together and bow, the Form of Do-san complete.

Rhythos
Xyse presses his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Rhythos. The Rabbit draws his hand back and sinks into the menacing stance of the Scorpion. Without warning he lashes out with a devastating spear strike, piercing the air as if it were the heart of an enemy. Xyse springs backwards and resumes the Scorpion stance. The man launches into a devastating sequence of kicks - an axe kick and a series of spinning roundhouses that leave his onlookers dazed and exhilarated. Xyse spins tirelessly this way and that, maintaining his balance with expert precision. The Rabbit forms two bladehands and carves them confidently through the air with bonebreaking speed and force. The man unleashes another series of dazzling kicks, flying through the air in the defiance of gravity. Xyse lands on his feet and draws his form together.

Xyse presses his palms together and bow, the Form of Rhythos complete.

Krull
Xyse presses his palms together and bows low, ready to perform the Form of Krull. The Rabbit assumes a perfect Dragon stance, his mind focused and calm. Xyse performs a breathtaking somersault into the air and lands confidently several feet away. The man flips backwards, lashing out with both legs simultaneously and handspringing back onto his feet. The Rabbit launches into a bewildering series of lightning fast hand motions, showing off his impressive dexterity. Xyse twists into the air once more, with a gravity defying whirlwind kick. Xyse drops straight down to the floor and into the splits. The man places a single hand on the ground and with incredible effort, swings his body up into a one-handed handstand. With a cry of effort he launches himself off the ground and spring back onto his feet.

Xyse presses his palms together and bow, the Form of Krull complete.

Stances
Each figure is facing right. --->
Acrobatics is required to utilizes a few of the more advanced stances.

Horse
The very first Stance a practitioner of Klob Trei Op learns, the Horse Stance is very grounded and a Stance that focuses on Defense more than Offense. The low center of gravity allows the user to block and parry blows quickly, efficiently, and without being swayed.

Image

Eagle
This Stance is geared for fast and powerful kicks with the dominant leg, though the positioning of the hands make strikes with the hands sub-par. Quick movement with the legs allow one to parry and block blows with the legs, as well, and the inherent power of a kick (stronger than a punch) allows for faster disarming.
Image

Cat
This Stance focuses on speed and agility, dodging blows instead of parrying and blocking. This particular stance is best for the more patient individuals, as they dodge and only inflict light damage as they wait for their opponent to tire. Of course, Endurance is key in this stance.
Image

Bear
The Bear Stance is the first of two that a student learns that optimizes throws, and is the third greatest stance when it comes to breaking limbs. It is meant to be quite slow when it comes to punches and kicks, but produces very damaging hits.
Image

Rat
A stronger variation of the Cat Stance, the Rat focuses on dodging, disarming, and striking pressure points. The user of this stance must, of course, be familiar with various racial anatomies to use this at it's best, and have an eye for precision rather than damage. This stance is probably one of the worst for breaking limbs, but one of the best to use when trying to incapacitate quickly and temporarily. The user stands on the tips of their toes and perpetually bounces back and forth, having a tiny flight period at each bounce.
Image

Scorpion
The Scorpion Stance is one of the deadliest of all, prioritizing speed and strength higher than anything. Blocking and parrying is sub-par for anyone but total Masters, and throws are less effective. Kicks and punches in this Stance produces a lot of damage, using the momentum of strikes to chain together move after move after move into a deadly barrage of hits.
Image

Leviathan
The greatest for throws, the Leviathan Stance is geared for snapping limbs in quick and deadly combinations. Blocking in this stance is effective when used correctly, though parrying is less so. Kicks and punches do moderate damage, but when aimed correctly, they can create confusing techniques that sets up an adversary for rapid and truly magnificent throws. There is no set standing and footing for this stance, the user is meant to be loose and flexible to grab and twist the targeted limbs until breaking and using the opponent's momentum to haul them from their feet into the air then back onto the ground.

Kicks
Unarmed Combat is required to utilize these kicks.

Snapkick
A quick, downward kick to target the legs.

Sidekick
A powerful kick to the torso.

Roundhouse
A fast, curving kick to the head.

Sweep
A low kick targeted that sweeps both legs from under your target.

Moonkick
A crescent-shaped kick aimed at the arms.

Axekick
A slow, spinning and immensely powerful kick at the head of an opponent. They must be on the floor.

Whirlwind
A spinning double-kick aimed at the head and torso.

Jumpkick
A kick meant to cut down distances and slam into an opponent's torso with all of one's weight and momentum.

Punches
Unarmed Combat is required to utilize these punches.

Jab
A fast, powerful punch aimed at various parts of the body.

Hook
A horizontal, curving punch aimed at the head.

Uppercut
A vertical, curving punch aimed at the head.

Palmstrike
A powerful strike with an open palm meant to break the nose and hinder vision with blood or, when used with Master Flux, disrupt internal functions.

Hammerfist
A vertical punch aimed at the knees.

Spear
A very fast punch where the hand is formed like a spearhead. The fingers are meant to jab into the throat to disrupt breathing or, when combined with knowledge of the anatomy, punish pressure points.

Bladehand
A very fast punch where the hand is formed like a spearhead. The sides of the hand is meant to target the side of the neck or eyes of a target.

Pinch
A type of technique meant to squeeze very sensitive flesh and cause considerable pain and paralyzation for as long as the pinch is held.

Throws
Wrestling and Bodybuilding is required to utilize these throws.

Slam
A basic throw where the opponent is lifted in various ways and slammed hard into the ground.

Wrench
A throw where the user grabs a limb, turns their back, and wrenches the target over their heads, while the limb is being bent over the shoulder.

Backbreaker
The deadliest throw. It can only be used on an opponent sufficiently weakened and unable to stand. The user hauls the opponent onto their back and neck, kneels, and brings the target up and over onto their upraised knee, using momentum and strength to target the spine. Spines are susceptible to breaking under the damage of multiple backbreakers.

Extra Information: There are no set combinations for Klop Trei Op. These moves are meant to be utilized in such ways unique to each user, to optimize their effectiveness as no-one is alike. Some stances, punches, and kicks might be extremely useful to one person, while they might be less effective to another who specializes in throws. KTO is meant to be fluid and unpredictable, a combination of knowledge and creativity.

Until Xyse becomes a Black Belt in his own style, no one else will know how to use these specific and specialized moves, nor will he teach anyone until he does. Of course, others will know how to punch and kick and stuff!

Extra Extra Information: All critique and comments are welcome. Feel free to post here or send me a PM about KTO. It is still very much in development.
