The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Halin'a could read the disapproval in Agnusha's voice, but he did not comment on it; it was common for people to disapprove of anyone being a prostitute, and he had more than once been questioned on his choice of career. More than one person had asked - rather patronizingly - if he thought that such a job were beneath an Ethaefal. Perhaps it was, but Halin'a liked it, he enjoyed the work, and it was relatively easy work for decent money. True, it had caused him to become quite blase about sex in general, no longer feeling the need to tiptoe around the subject with euphemisms rather than simply calling a spade a spade, as it were. Still, Agnusha was not being patronizing, and she had given him a compliment, so Halin'a accepted it with a grin. "Thank you," he said. "It is always nice to receive compliments."
Halin'a glanced around the tavern at Agnusha's suggestion; it had indeed grown quite rowdy in the time they had been speaking, and Halin'a did not blame the younger Ethaefal for feeling uneasy. "Of course," he said with a smile, finishing off the last of his drink. He got to his feet, shaking out his new cloak before swinging it over his shoulders, closing the fastening at his throat before he offered his hand to Agnusha. "It's a pleasant night tonight; if you would like the company, I'll gladly accompany you," he said with a smile. "I cannot promise to be a terribly interesting companion, though if you are looking to study now, you most likely won't be looking for one. But I can try my hand at idle conversation, if you wish."

As he was finishing his drink, she too mustered up her guts to empty her glass. She thought it would be rude not to drank all of her drink. It was good, but she wasn’t sure it would not gave her headache. Her celestial seeming was stronger after all. She slipped into her mantle and took Halin’a’s hand. “It is indeed.” she mused as they walked their way through the boisterous lounge. The crowd seemed to be parted and make way to the Children of Leth. That wasn’t uncommon in Lhavit. Yet Agnusha’s grip in Halin’a’s arm was tighten for ticks. It was still uncomfortable for her to be in the large and loud crowd. “I’ll take the chances. If you don’t mind accompanying me a bit longer.” She chuckled as they walked pass the door, into the dim corridor and beyond, beneath the starlit sky of Lhavit. |
