Lamb in a den of Wolves

Layne was relieved by the squirmers retreat however she feared of a further attempt at retrieving her. With this issue at the front of her mind she decided to take the advantage. As the squirmer shimmied out of the crevice she violently shoved him to get him out of the way. Climbing out quickly of the crevice she looked around for a gap in the men.Finding one she sprinted through screaming at the top of her lungs 'Thanks Mr Snake-Man!'
If the Dhani was going to distract them she may as well escape...

Lamb in a den of Wolves

There were curses abound, as both remaining men in front of Adder drew their weapons. The fat dirk wielder jerked his out of his belt and went straight for the kill, thrusting the blade with a meaty hand, straight for Adder's neck.
The boss took a different approach, choosing to remain right in front of the crevice, morningstar at the ready. He looked back and forth in a quick manner between Adder and the crevice, clearly watching both.

Adder brought his left foot back and bent his knees a little so he would evade the blade. He cursed outright for the fat man was quicker than he had anticipated. The Dhani continued his twirl and lifted his left elbow so it would hit the thug in the face and let it follow by his right hand clenching the leatherstrapped hilt of his dirk. Time seemed to slow to an annoying pace as if the grains of sand in an hourglass were clotting.

From the corner of his eye Rayne saw the small Konti kicking against "Willy Squirmer" but her mistake was she cried out her thanks to him, that would surely draw the attention of the morningstar-wielding boss...

Lamb in a den of Wolves

Layne thought she had escaped when she could hear the fight behind her.

She could never be more wrong.

As she started to sprint the thugs, obviously hearing her appreciation to the Dhani, had sprinted after her and were now surrounding her. Despite receiving confidence when kicking her assailant in the crevice, she obviously could not escape her current situation as easily. In desperation therefore she picked up a brick she found nearby thrashing around at the surrounding men to keep them at bay.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Today was a bad day...
