Riluc Lorrani
12 Day of Summer
12 Day of Summer
The river had subsided and now the city was working on rebuilding those buildings destroyed and damages in the floods. Riluc hadn't actually arrived in Sunbert until the first part of summer so he had missed the whole flood thing. He was here for the clean up and had decided to help. He didn't have any building skills to offer but he could help carry supplies to where they were needed. So after checking his traps in the early part of the morning he had come back to Sunberth and was now helping to stack lumber that was being brought to rebuild some mansion in the city.
There was something satisfying about the physical work. Riluc was fairly sweaty by this point as he worked in the hot sun with a couple boards slung over his shoulder. Part of why he liked the physical labor was because he could do it and his mind could think. Riluc's had been in Mura with his second mother up until last season. Gaelsa had told him it was time to take what she had taught him and go out to the world and learn more. Caiyha required her worshippers to expand there skills and knowledge so that they could better fight for balance.
Riluc had decided to return to were he had been born and raised by the canines. Here held much of his past and the hidden mysteries of were he had come from. Riluc loved Gaelsa and the others who had meet in Mura, and no one could ever replace them but there was a deep need to understand why someone would leave him to be raised by dogs. He had loved his pack and they had loved him and even know he wept when he thought about them being killed, but he had learned that his early life was very unusual.
So he was here to see what he could find out about it. As he had wandered around Sunbert he had seen that the town was suffering from being out of balance something followers is Caiyha couldn't really handle. The longer Riluc was in Sunbert the more he understood why he needed to spend time away from the city. If he had stayed he wouldn't have seen the problems in the city. He would have been burried in them. That wasn't saying Riluc thought that the social order needed to be toppled. There wld always be people at the top and people at the bottom. The problem was that people were constantly be moved up and down the latter and not in good ways. Riluc sighed wondering how would be best to change that. He was afraid it was to much part of the Sunberth mind set.
His first mission though was to find his history and learn about himself. The hardest part would be trying to find the place to start. His memories weren't very clear since hhad been so young, but he was going to still try. He felt it was something he needed and something Caiyha wanted him to do. Riluc set down the wood he was carrying and paused to look around. Others were helping but none really approached him. Riluc's blank expression in his handsome face. That was something that his mother hadn't been able to break him of, a belief that most people were out to get hum and so he protected himself behined a mask. Riluc really did yearn for family and friends but he did want any parisites in his life and life on the streets had taught him that humanity had a number of them.
Riluc sighed and walked back over to the wagon with the lumber and picked up more lumber and began to move it over.
