Winter 2th ![]() Midnight. Stars are shinning. The cold breeze left a freezing sensation on the Dhani's face. The same Dhani, who was wrapped around a bear coat to stop himself from freezing. He had no idea where he was, then he kept walking around the town, or should he call it, City, for several hours straight. He was a strange sight. Keeping his head hung low, to avoid any looks, his pale skin almost shinning as the moonlight illuminated his presence. He was cold, but not so much he was the other day in Sylras. So he decided he will bare with the cold a little bit longer, before hitting the tavern. To note, he decided that four hours ago. The skinny looking sick human, as he was called before by a fisher who was dragging his net back home. That was what he presented to the locals. It wasn't exactly wrong, however. Looking from human standards, he looked underfed. And his paleness could quickly be described as a disease. Yes, a disease. The disease of not being human. His sharp fangs glittered lightly in the night, as he grinned after thinking about that. Fangs that were so full with poison, that could easily stop a wolf if only bitten correctly. Humans could stand no chance, if he would just manage to get in range. Murderous thoughts were filling his head, but he didn't mind them. He was used on them by now. He knew that he would only act if taunted. Knew. He hoped he could withstand a verbal assault. But, that made him think, why did he even start hating the humans so much. Then he did manage to get along with one. His Vanthan friend. Who had done something no one else ever did. Asked him for help. And, after he did so, she shown gratitude, and returned the favor with friendship. Something he didn't expect. Maybe, he was the one prejudging the humans, in the same way they prejudged him. Maybe that was the act of fear. Or the reason that he lived with the hate for so long, it became a part of him. Sixty years. Give or take a few months. Sixty years before today, his first meeting with a group of humans. They were hunters. Hunting wildlife. Ended up killing his two brothers and sister, and capturing him. Taking him away. His eyes watered at the thought of that. Now he knew why he hated them. He remembered. Like salt on the wound, it burned him. Deep inside. And with the pain, he kept on walking. Talking to himself. Telling himself that there is no use of crying over spilled milk. He wont show any weaknesses. He might not be a human. But, he is something more. Something More. A child from Siku herself. A snake. A Viper. A Dhani. But no matter how weak he felt, there was someone who managed to keep him standing. Who understood his animal side. Yet, couldn't understand him. But, how could she. He never spoke about it. Sel looked up in the air, letting out a sigh. His bondmate was the only person the Dhani felt he could admit his weaknesses and fears. Something told him she would understand him if explaining it to her. And he wasn't going to wait any more. He had to speak. And...I will. After the last thought, he decided to finish his walk.Looking around for a free spot to sit down. There was no one around. Or at least, he couldn't see, or hear, or smell anyone. He dropped down, leaning his back on a tree that happened to be there, making the city look a bit more comfortable. Reaching inside his bear coat, he took a six sided dice from his backpack, and placed in on the ground, with the one spot on top. Luck. The one thing he couldn't feel angry about, then there was no way he could interact with it. He placed his index finger on top of the dice, and closed his eyes. "Thank you...For your blesssing, greatessst Sssiku. I promissse, I will make a sssacrificssse in your name." He whispered in the wind, as his thought once again traveled to his bondmate. She is a gift from the goddess. And for that, he will make the goddess happy. In the way she likes it. Pain. |
