One might assume by the name of the point, ships sink offshore a great deal in storms or due to treacherous tides. That assumption, however, would be wrong.
The Suvan Sea near Syka is calm, tropical, and has very little storm activity. For some reason, this stone and sand beach often uncovers Pre-Valterrian artifacts, coins, and jewelry on a regular basis without the help of the weather. It might be unusual currents or tidal influences that stir up the sediment and cast treasure upon the shore. So far however, no one has proven anything to a confident extent.
Locals have theorized that perhaps there are underwater ruins just offshore which periodically throw up artifacts from ages past. Since Syka has a lack of aquatic residents, no one has ever thoroughly investigated offshore and deep enough to find out for sure.
Other visitors to the location have claimed to feel deep and profound power. They say the power forms a vortex that transports items from past to the present. This theory is popular due to the normally undamaged and unworn seemingly new condition of the treasure discovered.
Until such a time as Treasure Point can be thoroughly investigated, the source of the 'treasure' will remain a mystery.
