Naiya righted herself, the task still one she was trying to perfect. With the expansion of her belly, she struggled to move with her usual grace, all the same she had sparked the kindling, and a hunk of dried dung quickly caught as well.
She was simply lighting the embers from earlier, she had heated tea before going out to check her traps, but the fire had died in her absence, and the tea gone cold. She placed the kettle back beside the flames, but it was a secondary goal, as she added a large pot of water beside the coals as well. There was fresh meat, or fresh enough that it didn't need to be stewed all day, but the hot water could serve a number of purposes, and she wanted to soak the large tubers to keep them from staying too hard in the meal later.
She looked out away from her task and found Seirei and the children, some brighter eyed than the others. She smiled, greetings taking shape on her hands. She moved in to help field a wayward child, racing on hands and knees for what seemed to be freedom.
"Where do they get so much energy?" Naiya teased her hands dancing with an oddly tinted sign of delight. She watched, unsure how to help, exactly. There was a difference in carrying the newborns and the elder babies, not that she was sure why.
They all seemed to fragile to her, not like a horse, or a zibri. She tried to recall the things she had known from helping her mother raise the children, the things Seirei had mentioned, but it was all a jumble in her head. Unsure formed on her hands shaped with sadness. "How do I help?" She grasped at memory, like sand slipping through her fingers. She would be a terrible mother if she didn't seek help soon.
She did know one thing, and that was that if they could sit on their own, they could start learning to ride. "Perhaps a riding lesson today? For the children? They are a good age to begin."
