Garland gave a smile as he watched Evana, her smile captivated him, it was that Sverfa charm that always gets him. Of course her smile wasn't as nearly cocky as the ones he'd seen, still she was quite pretty.
Garland laughed a bit when she asked her question, he took a sip of his drink and refilled the cup. He wasn't a heavy drinker in truth, and already he was feeling a bit tipsy.
When he drinks he's usually the first one to go down, but usually he binge drinks. Garland coughed a bit and thought about the question. "Yeah, a few times. Today though, it's a bit of a trip down memory lane, and was somewhat hoping to see someone here, just fool's hope I reckon, but hope is hope."
Garland looked over to Mortimer. "Mort, got anything to eat?" Garland took out some silver mizas and placed them down on the table. Mort gave a nod and went to the back, into the kitchen and brought out two plates of meat and placed them down on the table.
Mort took the coins and resumed his bored cleaning of the glasses. "I also wanted to talk to someone, I know nearly everyone in the Rearing Stallion, I did odd jobs from time to time before I found a steady job. I must say, I'm glad to have chosen to drink here tonight, because if I chosen somewhere else, I wouldn't have met you."
A bit of red flushed on Garland's cheeks, from the drink or the interaction, who can say? "Never have I ever... Kissed someone on a ship."

The drinking game had placed Evana into a playful mood, so she joined in with his laughter as he took a sip of his wine her smile growing smug for a moment of victory. Then curiosity at Garlands comments caused her to lean in closer her hand on resting upon his arm. “Who would you like to have seen?” Evana asked as rearranged her clothes so that her neckline showed of more of her tanned skin. She was enjoying the company of garland more as the night wore on as it was rare for her to find enjoyable company in the taverns where she usually drank, just idiots looking for someone to warm their bed for the night. Though she was warmin up to the idea of perhaps getting intimate immensely as her skin flushed with the warmth brought on by alcohol. However her stomach had other ideas as it growled in appreciation as food was brought forth. Picking up a piece of chicken she nibbled on it reflectively while one hand remained on Garlands arm as she listened to him speak.
“A man who wants to talk I don’t think I would have believed you yesterday if you said i would met one of those yesterday.” she said the fingertips of her hand brushing over his skin as evana continued “Though i too am glad you came and that we met as it is nice to make new friends.” she said as she let go of Garlands arm and picked up her glass.
She was not a heavy drinker but the game she and Garland where playing help her to pace herself as she took a sip before saying
“I not sure that was a fair question after all I live aboard a ship, thus I done most things you can imagine on one ship or another.” She paused a moment thinking before stating
“I never ever led someone on.” |

"The person I was waiting for? Well, she's gone, it doesn't matter, it was a fool's hope if I saw her." Garland smiled, of course he missed April, but he had moved on, if she did come back it was because of the children she had left for him.
Garland was a perceptive one, and cautious at times, he couldn't help look at Evana adjusting her clothes out of reflex in case she was planning on pulling out a dagger, but instead he just focused on her cleavage due to male instinct, although his eyes did linger a bit longer than he had anticipated.
When he caught himself he turned away, a bit more red-faced than before, this time from the embarrassment rather than the wine. He didn't mention the staring, and just continued with their game and conversation.
Garland did not drink from his mug, and ate some of his food. "Never led anyone on truth be told, I'm usually the one being led on." Garland enjoyed Evana's hand on his arm, he had been in his armor too long and had almost forgotten what it felt like to have someone touch his skin without wanting to kill him.
He couldn't help but smile when he looked at her, it was nice to spend time with a new friend, and have someone to forget his worries with, if he went drinking out with the other squires, they'd probably already be piss drunk or whoring it up at the swan, and his closest squire friends were underage.
He felt his heart flutter as the two of them talked. Oh what the hai.
"Well... Never have I ever... kissed a squire of Syliras before." Before she could answer he planted a kiss on her lips, he was fine if he was going to get smacked, he'll make up for it in the morning, but for now, he was tipsy, and there was a beautiful girl in front of him.
"You have now." He said and gave a cheeky wink. He expected a slap across the face, and he'll take it.

Evanna watched Garland’s expression as he spoke of the ‘friend’ he had hoped to see. Despite the fact that he indicated the person was female it seemed that it was just a friend he wish to see as she saw how attentively he was watching her as she let he shirt slip down. She giggle briefly noticing his face turning a deeper shade of red and the covered he mouth with her hand trying to turn the giggle into a cough not wanting to embarrass the man. Still picking at the food evana listened to Garland response. Feeling sorry she reached out and touched his arm again trying to indicate that her interest in him was genuine.
“I sorry to hear that, things for me are usually the opposite men are usually very .. straightforward with what they want from me.” she stated with a shrug more interested in Garlands smile then her own worries.
Suddenly the room was spinning as he leaned forward to kiss her on the lips leaving her stunned for several seconds afterward till the silence and the hesitation shown by Garland got through to her. Slowly she stood taking her hand off of her friends arm so she could push her chair back under the bar before moving to stand in front of Garland bending over to whisper in his ear as her hand rested on his shoulders.
“I hadn’t kissed a squire of Syliras before thank you for the experience. I never ever slept with one either. ” she paused moving her mouth from his ear so her could see her smile “care to walk me home?” she said as she straightened up her blue eyes sparkling with mischief. |

Garland honestly did not expect that. He expected a slap across the face, the wine splashed on him, maybe even a chair if Evana was feeling particularly violent.
He couldn't help but smile when she whispered into his ear, he felt himself shiver at the proximity they shared. "I would love to, it's dangerous to go alone, especially tonight." Garland finished his cup and took the bottle of wine. "Wouldn't want this to go to waste."
Garland wrapped his arm around Evana's shoulder, holding her tight as the two of them left the tavern.
The air was cold and the fog was thick, everything was dead quiet, and at any other time it would be eerie, creepy, but with Evana, it seemed rather romantic. "Is it far?"
Garland took off his jacket and put it on Evana's shoulders. It was leather, it wasn't very warm, but it helped.
It didn't take them long to get to Evana's ship, the street lamps helped guide the way for any wayward souls brave enough, dumb enough, or unlucky enough to be caught outside at this hour.
"I hope your crew doesn't mind me staying with you for the night." Garland could feel Evana's warmth on his body, it was a familiar bliss he hadn't really felt in a long time.
He planted another kiss on Evana, this time on her cheek. He gazed into her eyes, his deep blue eyes locked with hers. He leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips.
