Basic Information Race: Kelvic Birthday & Age : – Season of winter, day 18, 504AV / Six years old Gender: Male Physical Description -Kuujin is a bear of a man, standing at a staggering six foot six with a somewhat stocky muscular build to match. Both his eyes and hair are so dark a brown that they almost appear black, though the latter is tipped with a silvery sheen, giving him a somewhat grizzled appearance. His hair and beard have grown long, and due to its thick and somewhat wiry nature it generally doesn’t trouble him. A few prominent scars cover his face and body, they are all that’s left of long deceased pray and a few particularly aggressive or even annoying individuals. -Although the term “bear of a man” seems true, the inverse is closer to the truth. His true form is that of a large Grizzly bear. Just as his human form is huge in comparison to others, so is his Grizzly form. He easily weighs between seven and eight hundred pounds, and stands closer to nine foot than eight. His dark brown- almost black fur is tinged with silver giving his bear form a somewhat grizzled appearance, though the effect as one might imagine, is far more pronounced this way. |
Character Concept -Deep down, Kuujin is simply as his nature demands. Very much an instinctual being, he will not hesitate to attack if he feels threatened or if he is hungry. Although he is truly an omnivore, he vastly prefers the taste of fresh meat and blood to the taste of fruits and berries or even the food of man. If he’s especially hungry, he is not above even attacking wayward humans and other folk. -His philosophy, what little of one he has, is the full belief in the survival of the fittest. As such, he despises weakness and meekness in others. This is not to say he is loud and boastful, in fact he is quite the opposite. In social situations (those which do not involve him eating or finding himself in combat) he is often quiet and reserved, partially because he does not like using the spoken word, and partially because he views most beings as weak. To him, the weak are better off dead, that way they might feed and strengthen the strong. -Although he will seldom voice his opinions, Kuujin is often critical of others and takes an instant dislike for most people. It is not just weakness and meekness that he dislikes, but also foolishness and stupidity. Or rather, things he finds to be foolish and stupid. Although he is intelligent, he relies more on his animal instincts than his wit, and as he’s lived in the wilds for his entire life, he’s never had to do otherwise. -For as long as he can remember, Kuujin has struggled with his almost overbearing and instinctually solitary nature, and a strange, but nonetheless powerful desire for something more than just survival. As time passes, he finds himself wanting a direction and a purpose. In his younger days what was a small desire has been growing and festering for years. He knows not what this desire is nor how to go about sating it, but feels it nonetheless keenly. |
Character History -Kuujin was born on an uneventful night in the Bronze Wood on the 18th day of the winter season in 506. His early years show much what one would expect of a typical wilderness-born Kelvic, spending his first months at his mother’s side, growing and learning all of which she had to teach him. He learned of the spoken tongue, the lay of the land, and how to feed, forage, and hunt. As with the majority of Kelvics, his desire for direction and purpose drove him from his mother and into the world. -For five years he survived in the wilds, hunting, fishing, and foraging for food, while staking his territory out in a cave he’d found within the Wood. As time passed, he hunted bigger and bigger game, even attacking humans or other folk who wandered about his territory when he was hungry enough. Sometimes, those folk even came out into the wilderness. He’d met a few, and had despised every one of them. Weak things they were, and annoying at that. It was then the he found that although he was slow to anger, once he was enraged he didn’t stop until everything around him had stopped moving. -Despite his unsavory interactions with some of the local populous, Kuujin was mostly content living alone. He fed when he was hungry, and slept while he was tired. Yet all the while, his internal instincts nudged and tugged and pulled at his mind, telling him that he needed more. As a being with a stronger than average will, he resisted, though mostly on the idea that he had no idea what it was exactly what he wanted. -As time has gone by this instinctual need has become somewhat more than a nagging thought. Lately, he has been finding himself meandering aimlessly through the forest, not even looking for food. He feels the urge to go. To find his purpose and direction, to be complete. He just simply doesn’t know where to it is he needs to go. |
