Soliana Wavebreaker Appearance Race: Drykas/Svefra Human, Mixed Gender: Female Age: 19 Birthday: 32nd of Winter, 496 Birthplace: The Suvan Sea Appearance: With a straight posture and cold, imposing look, Soliana comes of more as intimidating until you get to know her, yet she walks with a loose, fancy-free, grace only the Svefra hold. Standing at 5'7" and 124 lbs. Soliana has her mothers height and slim figure. When the woman was still alive they were even often confused for one another, their light blue eyes, kinky sun bleached hair, and tan, weathered skin to alike to notice the difference. It's when you get to the smaller features that Soliana's resemblance to her father comes out, the high cheekbones and sharp jawline leading into a softer chin. While her skin isn't by any means soft, it is nearly unblemished save for one scar across her left shoulder blade that she received when she was young, it's nearly fade, but visible in the right light or distance. Character Concept Growing up in a society where she never felt she truly fit in has made her closed of to those around her and often has her coming of as cold to those she doesn't know. She struggles with her identity but hide that struggle with a false realistic confidence. Those that do know her, know she has a small stutter when she gets excited, is more than willing to share with those in need, and is passionate when she has something to reach for. They also know shes looking for a place to call home, a place she never found out at sea with her mothers people. Soliana is a risk taker, adventurous, and reckless. She doesn't know when to stop and doesn't realize it could someday ruin her, but in the end she wouldn't care anyway. She's a dreamer always looking to the stars and wondering where they'll lead her. Character History Soliana was the product of a seasonal affair between a Drykas man and Svefra woman. This affair had been going on for several years before her conception and continued 4 years after. Then it was mutually agree'd upon that he should no longer come around, his presence would be too confusing to Soliana. So in the early years of her life after her father decided he shouldn't come around anymore Soliana was told he was dead. She only has brief foggy memories of the long haired, tan, Drykas with the blue eyes. As she grew into a young woman Soliana's mother was the one who made sure the girl felt like she fit into the pod and while the whole of the small family raised her, it was clear she was different. She didn't have the Affinity for the sea the others did and struggled when it came to fishing or sailing. Instead she took to fighting often finding herself in a scuffle on the docks of one of towns they were near while her people traded and bartered. Sometimes she'd watched, but more often than not she'd disappear until she knew it was time to go home. It was during one of these brawls that she received the scar across her shoulder. Having been pushed hard enough to skid across the ground her shoulder caught on a rock and she required several stitches. Other then that she made a few friends in the ocean side cities, one whom even taught her the basics of riding horse. The one skill she did seem to grasp while out at sea was astronomy, her mother taught her about the stars and who they could always lead her back home, or where ever she wanted to go. In the winter of her 18th birthday Soliana's mother became ill. It was a slow sickness. First it just seemed like a common cough, one that came with the change of season, but as time passed it didn't go away. During these days as she grew weaker she began to tell Sol of her real father. Not the man she'd said had died. She told her how he was a Drykas, part of the Amethyst Clan and about thier love. How they would meet each spring in Riverfall and spend the days along the cliffs and near the ocean. How her father loved her, but knew by staying around he was keeping her from forming a connection with her people, and disappointing her when he could only see her a handful of days a year. Right before she died, she gifted Soliana with a faded purple sash of her fathers, embroidered with his and her mothers names, and bells sewn into edges of the fabric. After her mothers death Soliana stayed with the pod and contemplated all she'd been told. The summer after she'd turned nineteen she left, not returning after they stopped in Riverfall. Now she resides in one of the inns, hoping to find a drykas to lead her to the tent city so she can find her father.
