Clara Preston Appearance Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 22 Birthday: 43, Winter, 496 AV. Birthplace: Lhavit Appearance: Clara is a very short girl being only 4 feet and 9 inches tall. She is also very slim, though not malnourished. She keeps her wavy brown hair at medium length, just by her shoulders. Her eyes are brown. She has a large scar on her right tight, about eight inches long, and one on her back, diagonally, twelve inches long. Character Concept What Clara enjoys the most is helping people. She is a pacifist and would rather resolve any conflict with words than with weapons. She also often gets in the middle of fights and tries to act as a negotiator in order to end the conflict peacefully. This however, usually does not work and her body suffers a bit as well. Character History Ever since a young age, Clara would help anyone in need, just like her parents taught her. A small coin here. A piece of bread there. She had no reservations against loosing her entire meal just to see someone's eyes light up. Because of this, she became friends with many of Lhavit's poor, often engaging in conversations with them. One in particular left quite an impression on her. He was an artist that sold everything he had in order to buy a very expensive ring for the woman he loved, only to see her with another man the following week. He would tell the story many many times and Clara would pay full attention to it every single time, and in exchange for her attention, he would teach her how to draw. But Clara's education wasn't only in the arts. Her parents had a very small construction business, but they also knew a bit of magic and decided to teach some to Clara. While Clara's father taught her glyphing, Clara's mother taught her shielding. All was going great for Clara... Until the Djed Storm occurred... It was a really frightening experience for Clara. The sky full of lights... The rain coming down... The people glowing... It was the most frightening thing that Clara had ever seen. Luckily, they managed to find shelter and survive that experience. Their business however, wasn't as lucky. When they came out of the shelter and went to check their shop, they realized that the snow on the peaks had thawed out and came crashing down on it. They spent many days digging out the snow trying to get whatever they could salvage, but the damage to the building was too expensive to fix so they decided to instead find jobs elsewhere. Still, during their life, they never forgot about Clara's education and they taught her as much as they could. Now, she's leaving the house where she grew up and starting her own work life. This is where Clara's story begins.
