While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

After a few days of searching Danyelas reaches the entrance of the Sanea Labyrinth. Being warned, he keeps a reasonable distance between him and the labyrinth.
He was told by a shaman that there are untold treasures in the those forgotten places, danger is great, but the reward is even greater. Such a naive adventurer like himself could not deal with the curiosity and the sent of an adventure. After listening carefully to the shaman's words and keeping in mind to enter alone until at least a few more armed allies may show up to be able to face the dangers. And even if he finds allies for his journey through the labyrinth he must still keep an eye on everything: Evil does not sleep.
Danyelas believed the shaman and knew such and adventure can be as dangerous as starting a tunnel to the Underworld, if not more. But why did he take the road to Syliria if not for this purpose? He threw his backpack near a tree, sit down under a tree's protective shadow, pointed to the sky and started watching clouds that slowly floated over his foolish head. The world got darker and darker until he fell asleep. If anyone would want to join his adventure all he would have to do is wake him up.

A long muzzle shoved its way into the leaves scattered about the forest floor, vigorously sniffing the ground for the scent of prey. The pearly white wolf was like a beacon amongst the dark browns and greens of the surrounding forests. Ordinarily he would have camouflaged himself prior to his hunting trip, but truth be told he wasn't looking for just food. strapped to his back was his rucksack, which was a pain to put on in his wolf form, with his tent and bedroll hanging from its sides and the large axe bound to the top. He was "relocating". He had really bit the bullet last night with those poachers, and he didn't want to go through that again. Maybe he could find a nice abandoned mine cave. Those were always full of odd antiquities and tools.

He raised his nose to the sky and detected an odd scent. It wasn't damp like the rest of the forest's smells. He sniffed. Human perhaps? His ears turned forwards as he tried to find the being with his sense of hearing. He waited. Nothing. No shuffle of leaves, no voices, nothing. Maybe they were resting. Shane decided to investigate. It wasn't long till he found the sleeping human, his belongings lying helplessly near the tree. He looked at the human, and back at the backpack, then back to the human, and then back to the backpack. His animal curiosity got the better of him.

He stuck his head deep into the bag, pushing the items around with his muzzle. All he found were some toiletries, a weeks worth of food, some flint and steel, and other basic materials. He carelessly rummaged deeper, eventually forcing the other items out of the bag and they clattered to the forest floor. Startled by the noise he fell backwards, the bag still firmly attached to his head. He began to walk backwards in circles attempting to get the bag off. He did not realize that he was making an enormous amount of noise.
"Which path will you take?." Asked the Wolf
"the path of needles or the path of pins?"

"I guess I'll take the path of needles," the little girl replied.

"Then I'll take the path of pins and we'll see who gets there first"

"What's going on?" whispers Danyelas while making great efforts to open up his eyes. A strange noise reached his ears... Something was searching through his backpack! Why didn't he listen to the shaman and keep away from trouble? Now the monsters that inhabit the tunnel will kill him... his spirit will be lost... forever.... Then he remembered his home where his father and mother were fishing peacefully with cormorants.... Foolish!
With his hands put together, his prayer starts with words so silent it is highly possible the gods ever heard it. Prayer finished.... It's time to face the end. He opens his eyes and notices a silhouette who was watching his short-sword with pure interest. There were two ways to react at this: attack the stranger or run away. He did neither: he suddenly jumped forward falling on his back. The good part is that he didn't really hurt himself. The bad part is that he still doesn't know what the stranger wants.

Using all of his force, the wolf managed to pushed the bag off of his head, emitting a loud whine as he fell backwards onto his own rucksack and felt something break within it. Aw geez, my lantern! he thought to himself as he scrambled top his feet. The contents of the human's bag were now thinly spread out across the clearing, and by now the man was awake and staring at him. Shane's ears drooped and lowered his head, afraid that the stranger may yell at him for invading his property. In an attempt to undo his wrongdoing, he picked up the various items in his mouth and placed them back into the bag, making sure not to make eye contact with the strange man. He feared that his expression may be that of anger. Once he finished he backed away and sat on the ground, awaiting his judgment. His paws kneaded the ground and his eyes were focused on the dirt near the stranger's feet.

"Seems ol' gods didn't forget me!" thought Danyelas thinking how to take advantage of this situation. A dog was putting his possessions back into his backpack. With a swift maneuver, Danyelas gets back on his feet watching the dog that now was looking at the ground. Suddenly, a swift rush of information travels through his brain. He was here for the Labyrinth and was waiting for a few more adventurers to be able to get in!
"Hey there doggy! Are you here for the Labyrinth, too? I think we could make a team! What ya say? And don't bother with the backpack incident! As long as you come with me into the labyrinth I'll just forget it ever happened! So what ya think?"

Shane lifted his head and wagged his tail, pleased with his new master's acceptance. He barked in reply, his tongue hanging out of his maw as he trotted up to the man. "You should know though, I'm not a dog. I'm a wolf. But if your contempt calling me a dog then I'm fine with that the white canine said. He wondered if his ability to speak would frighten his owner or just make him more curious.
