Anti-spam measures

Hey everyone,

to combat the outrageous amount of spammers, I've implemented a ban on links (the url bbcode) for new accounts. So far it's based on post number (ten). Depending on whether spammers get aggressive in response, I may also implement a limit based on registration dates.

I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause with new CS. I'll be adding "thread" and "post" bbcodes to generate links that will work even for accounts that are under link embargo. Thank you for your understanding!

And if you are a spammer and are reading this, go buy your own Null. Chances are, you're the one in need of it.

They are trying to sell me XBOX games in my PMs now. Dirty rotten spammers.

Let us know if you see them hitting any other approaches. I think they've thoroughly got our coder's attention and hes plotting revenge.
