MAVORS "Alcohol is the only thing that keeps me sane" Basic Info Race: Akalak Gender: Male Age: 26 Birthday: 12, Fall, 490 AV. Birthplace: Not certain, but his best guess is Syliras Appearance: About Mavors History: Like most people, Mavors can't remember the first years of his life. The difference from most people is that he therefore can't remember at what age he was abandoned by his parents. He can't remember their faces, or if he even really met them at all after he was born. He was raised by a man named Rocco. Rocco was a human, who said he had found Mavork on the street when he was about 2, although he wasn't sure about his exact age. Rocco was a brawler, who made his money by fighting in underground taverns. Rocco never had any family of his own, but for some reason took a liking to the Child Akalak. He took him in, let him live with him and treated him as his own kid. At quite an early age he made Mavors go with him when he went training and made him go watch all his fights. Mavors was, suprisingly enough, quite a happy child. He enjoyed his training and he enjoyed watching Rocco fight. He loved him as a father, although he obviously knew Rocco wasn't his actual father. It was however, the only family he had. They weren't exactly poor, but neither did they have enough money to get more than what was absolutley necessary. They lived in a small apartment, ate what happened to be cheap to buy that day and so on.Most of his youth was spent training or in taverns where he would watch Rocco fight, do some gambling and have an ale or two. It wasn't a bad life. Mavors had his first real fight when he was 16. It was against a human in hsi 30's or so. The man was about as tall as him, but had a much more muscular build. Mavor's real strength was his speed. His opponent put up a good fight, but there wasn't really anyone who doubted who would win after Mavor's had gotten his first strike in. After that, Mavors also started to make some Money with Rocco. Together they bought a bigger apartment, had enough Money to get better food and clothes. Life started to get even better. When Mavors was nineteen, Rocco died. It was in a brawl that went out of hand. When Rocco had lost, the other man was in such a rage that he just didn't stop punching him. In a fit of rage Mavors attacked him. The people who were watching managed to stop him, but it didn't help. Rocco died in Mavors arms on a Dirty Tavern floor. This event is what triggered Mavors change of personality that all Akalak go through. He was angry, more so than anyone without Akalak blood could ever understand. The day after, Mavors had managed to find out where the man lived. He broke into his appartment at night. To say that he killed him is the nicest way to describe it. But in reality, it was more like he slaughtered him. The change of personality he went through was a lot harder for Mavors than for a lot of other Akalaks. Since he had no one else from his race who could explain what was going on and at the same time lose the only person he had ever seen as family made it even worse. In the first year or so he was just angry. He kept on fighting for money, most of the time people who were watching had to stop him before he killed the other fighter. One evening, when he was 22, after he had won a fight, he took a couple of beers more than he usually did. His anger started to become less sharp and he felt more apathy than anger. It was nice, not having to be so angry all the time, to just ignore everything that was going on. To simply not care anymore. Since that day, Mavors tries to go through most days just drunk enough to not let his rage be released. He still fights, but as he's drunk most of the time, he's not quite as good. He still wins now and then, but far less often than he used too. But at least no one ever has too pull him away from his opponent so he won't kill him anymore. Personality: As all Akalak, Mavors has two personalities. His darker side is the more dominant one, and is the one that he has out basically all of the time. He is grumpy, distant from people and most of the time, he's obviously drunk. As long as he's wrong he feels very little. When he's not drunk he loses his temper very easily and he feels no remorse over what happens when he goes into his fits of rage. Very few times (once again, usually when he's drunk), his other personality comes out. He's kind, caring but most of all he's quick to laugh and makes a lot of jokes. This usually comes out when things are going his way for the evening, it might be as simple as someone's decided they want to give a free round of drinks to the bar or when he's having a really good gambling night. Since Mavors just spends his sleeping hours in it (which basically means just as the light comes up in the morning until lunch time) it hasn't been cleaned since he moved in4 years ago. In one corner stands his only possession he actually cares about: A barrel filled with ale.
