Aello was sitting in a newly-abandoned building. She had snuck inside when she was certain that no one was watching, or as certain as she could ever be of such things. She was sitting with her back against the door. A thin red carpet lined the floor, but other than that, there was nothing in the room. A thin trickle of light poured in through the glass window to her left.
Aello was sitting silently, her bow leaning up against the door to her right, her bag resting in her lap, as she dug through her supplies and pulled out two glass jars- one was empty, the other contained three of the four ingredients needed to make soul mist. Aello placed the two jars on the floor, before setting her bag aside, it now rested under the window. A mixture of egg, flour, and soft cheese was floating around in one of the glass jars, and Aello looked at it unhappily. She would probably have to finish converting the substance into soulmist today, or her ingredients may prove to be far too vile for her to tolerate in the future.
Aello reached for the jar containing the beginnings of soulmist, and opened the lid. Immediately, the smell of rotting cheese and eggs floated up to her nostrils. Aello scrunched up her nose. Today had to be the day in which she finished making the mist. If she waited any longer, the ingredients were sure to go to waste, she already had a difficult enough time making the mist without throwing up, after all.
Aello gulped, as she closed her eyes and reached into the jar with her right hand. Her hand touched something slimy, and her fingers reluctantly closed themselves around the substance, pulling a small amount out, and lifting her cupped hand to her lips. When her hand had risen to her mouth, she parted her lips, and tilted her hand back, the mixture splashed into her mouth, and the taste of raw, rotten egg and cheese filled her mouth.
Aello struggled not to spit the mixture out. Her eyes were burning, and starting to tear as she reached for her eating knife and cut across her left pointer finger, lifting her finger above her mouth, and letting her blood spill onto her tongue. One crimson drop, two blood drops, three, four, five... When five drops of blood had spilled into her mouth, Aello pulled her finger away, and let both of her hands rest on the red carpet. Surely she couldn't ruin the thing with her blood stains, it was already red after all.
Aello sighed, as she started to chew the mixture in her mouth. Today was sure to be an unpleasant day, she thought silently to herself, as she closed her eyes tightly. Everything tasted disgusting and she just wanted to spit it out. But she couldn't let herself do that, she had to make the mist. So she sat silently, and chewed, forcing herself to meditate to the best of her ability, even though she couldn't breath out through the mouth very well. Her nose would have to suffice for the meditation, as would her imagination, and general ability to visualize during the meditation.
