Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 30 Birthday: Spring 13, 487 Birthplace: Zeltiva
Appearance: Karyk stands around 5'11, not tall, but not short either. He has broad shoulders, a thick usually kept beard, and rough hands. He can usually be found in simple canvas shirts, linen trousers, and his leather work boots.
Character Concept
Karyk is a quiet man, often keeping to himself in most aspects. He is a hard worker, spending most of his days either gathering wood or working in the Shipyard. He spends his free time fishing, carving trinkets or furniture for himself, and drinking.
Character History
Karyk was born and raised in Zeltiva. His mother was a shipbuilder, his father a lumberjack. Karyk and his younger sister Natya were taught both of their parents' crafts and both went on to work at the Shipyard. Karyk was married for a while in his early twenties (507-512), but it didn't work out, and the two split amicably. He now focuses on his work even more, but lately been wondering if there's more to do with his life.
Post Creation History
Summer 517 - Because of Morwen's failure to bring Winter to the realm, Zeltiva was starving a lot more than it normally had to deal with. As such, prices on goods went up, food became scarcer, and large employers had to begin cutting staff. Karyk was laid off. He decided to organize a caravan with some merchants, and led a migration of Zeltivans toward Syliras.

Active PCs Salara Kel'Halavath - Karyk and Salara met through blood, retrieving a lumber shipment for the Zeltivan ship yard, along with Kesh Baldur. They fought and bled together, and a new friendship was born. Following Morwen's failure to bring winter, Karyk led a caravan of Zeltivans to Syliras. Along the way, Karyk and Salara initiated a romantic attraction.
Oleander Soleran - Karyk and Oleander met while Karyk was fishing. Much to Karyk's surprise, he found he enjoyed the young man's company, due to the boy's good work ethic and willing to learn. They are traveling together to Syliras, and have a young friendship.
Kesh Baldur - Having met during the wolf attack where Karyk also met Salara, he met Kesh. The Jamoura was quite mighty during the attack, and joined in on the traveling caravan. Karyk and Kesh haven't spoken much to one another, but there's a general, silent camaraderie between the two.
Tollivant Brennson - Karyk barely knows Tollivant, and would describe him, at best, as "annoying, but not completely useless." This is from Tollivant being a scholarly type person, as well as having caused an embarassing moment with Karyk and Salara. They are traveling together in the Zeltiva migration to Syliras.
Alija - Karyk met Alija when he was 25 and she was 17. She was an apprentice at the local smithy.
