The Shining Diamond is a shop hidden out of the way on Zintia Peak, in the back alleys of the Surya Plaza. A resident or visitor would only find The Shining Diamond if they were lucky while wandering, or happened to be directed there by an wealthier member of Lhavitian society. Walking straight past the shop, you wouldn’t know it was there, but for a sign hanging outside with an image of a gleaming crystal. Besides this, it looks just the same as any other building on the street.
You enter the shop and a tinkling of the bell alerts the ever watchful Guancho Li that another prospective customer has come. The front room – the only part of the shop visitors are allowed to see – is dark, with long shadows and a musty smell lingering in the air. No matter the time of year, there will always be a fire on in one corner of the room. The room is strategically placed with glass cabinets, displaying fine necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and the like. A worn but luxurious armchair sits by the counter nearest the door, and it is there that Guancho usually sits.
There are two doors from this main room, both locked and bolted at all times. The first, one that is grand and polished, leads off to the Appointment Room. It is in this room where the richer patrons can browse Guancho's more exclusive wares; most average customers do not enter this room, and even those that do must first schedule an appointment with Guancho (at least 3 days in advance) to be allowed inside. This room is barely furnished, containing a red plush armchair, an old mahogany desk, and two chairs; it is through this room that Guancho also accesses his workshop, which is a small space at the back of the building. The other door in the main room leads to Guancho’s private quarters, and it is impossible to gain access to these rooms.

Guancho Li is an elderly man, with wiry white hair and a bedraggled appearance. One would never guess he were the owner of one of the most respected shops in Lhavit. He runs the shop alone, having never married and having no children. This loneliness makes him quiet and introspective, though he is at heart, a lovely man.
Upon entering his shop, one would find him sitting quietly in his favorite seat next to the counter, and will remain sitting until you specifically ask for something or make it known to him that you wish to make a purchase. Having a pensive nature, he will not go out of his way to assist you, but nor will he completely ignore you. He has firms opinions however, and does not take kindly at any attempt to bargain.

She is friendly on the surface, but there's something distant and aloof about her. She's not particularly good with customers, and for that reason, she spends most of her time in the workshop in the back rather than in the front trying to sell any wares.
Aludra has lived in Lhavit her whole life. At a young age, she fell in love with a charming Svefra man who stopped with his pod for trading; her heart broke when he left, seemingly without a care in the world for her, and Aludra soon realized she was pregnant.
