Jaelyn caught the cloak, and gave a small smile to Jokor in response, "Nonsense, I will be paying for your clothes. It's important to have comfortable and warm clothing for the winter. We'll probably want to get you something lighter when spring and summer come around, but that can wait for now."

Pulling out a wool tunic, a pair of wool trousers, and a wool cape that looked like they would fit Jokor and handed them to a boy, "Those should do," motioning to the nearby fitting room, "Go try them on."

A Chance Encounter (Jokor)

Postby Jokor on January 26th, 2011, 4:33 pm

Jokor looked at Jaelyn for a few moments, trying to figure out if she was trying to trick him into something, nobody just gave away free clothes. But she looked sincere, maybe she just needed a cheap way of transporting something personal or something.
Jokor just took the pile of clothes out of her hands, not noticing the motion to the changing rooms, even if he did, he didn't know what the changing rooms where let alone what they where used for.
"Fine, hold this will you?" He pulled out his weapon and his coins from underneath his clothes and shoved it in her hands, balancing the pile of clothes on his other hand.
Being the unadapted orphan he was he just started to pull of his clothes, exposing his malnourished body, in the middle of the shop. And began to pull on the new clothes, not really caring about the two people looking. Or people who could look inside. He just shifted around a bit in his clothes, they fit good enough for him and they where an inconspicuous dark brown, so that was also a good point.
"yeah they are good for me." jokor said before holding out his hand for his items. "Can I get my stuf back?"

A Chance Encounter (Jokor)

Postby Jaelyn Baroth on January 26th, 2011, 5:58 pm

Jaelyn accepted the strange looking weapon and the small amount of coins from Jokor with a nod of her head. Her gaze fell down to the weapon, curiously looking it over as she held it. It was surprisingly light, maybe even light enough to be made of Isurian steel, and was of a design she'd never seen before. The only reason she could even guess it was a weapon was because of the various sharp bits on it.

Hearing an odd noise she brought her eyes up only to be confronted by the sight of Jokor, mostly naked, changing right next to her. For a brief moment she could only stare with wide eyes as she felt an embarrassed heat rise up her cheeks. When her mind finally caught back up with the situation she quickly spun around so her back was to him, almost tripping over her own feet in the process. As the boy finished putting the new clothes on she finally found her voice and spoke, without looking in his direction, "What are you doing!? You're supposed to change in the fitting rooms!" There wasn't any anger in her voice though, just shock.

When he asked for his stuff back Jaelyn hesitated a moment and then cautiously turned around. Peering out of the corner of her eye first to make sure he was decent she offered him back his things without a word. She only hoped that the fiery blush that covered her cheeks would go away quickly.

"What are you doing!? You're supposed to change in the fitting rooms!" Jokor looked towards the shocked Jaelyn, who for some reason had turned around, not really getting what the problem was.
"The fitting rooms?" Jokor gave her a blank look,"I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about right now, besides what is the problem with changing here anyway? It isn't like you haven't seen a guy before."
He impatiently waited for her to turn around and return his items. Shoving his stuff back underneath his clothes, happy that he had his cloak to hide them better, he looked back towards her, an amused smile making its way on his face as he saw that she was as read as a tomato. Deciding to keep his mouth shut about it, it wasn't his business anyway, he just picked up the dirty rags that where his old clothes and began wrapping ripping them into pieces before sitting down and beginning to wrap up his feet.
"So how much is all of this going to cost you anyway?" Jokor asked trying to get an idea in how much debt he was going to be, if there is one thing he learned early on is that you never should keep debts standing. That always was a source for disaster.

A Chance Encounter (Jokor)

"I've never seen a man without clothing before," Jaelyn responded to Jokor's question as her cheeks continued to remain warm. The amused smile on the boy's face certainly didn't help her to calm down either. The stark realization that Jokor had been walking around without any kind of foot covering brought her back though, and she gave a faint frown. How could she have missed something like that! She'd have to take him to get some proper boots, especially with the rain and cold of winter.

"No need to worry about the cost," Jaelyn's gave a reassuring smile to Jokor at his question, "You do not need to pay me back for this," walking over to the counter she paid the 5 GM and 5 SM for Jokor's clothing, thanking the employee for their patience in dealing with the unmannerly boy.

Motioning for Jokor to follow her once more she gave another small smile, "Come, let's go get you some boots. It won't do to have you walking around in your warm clothes with your feet cold and wet from the rain."

A Chance Encounter (Jokor)

Jokor just looked at her with a suspicious look in his eyes when she mentioned he didn't have to worry about the money and that he didn't have to pay her back.So she was either trying to lower his guard or she was sincere. Jokor just shrugged and stood up, since she thought honor was very important he thought it was probably the later and if not, he could always disappear into the crowds or run away, he was fairly good at both.
"Come, let's go get you some boots. It won't do to have you walking around in your warm clothes with your feet cold and wet from the rain."
Jokor snapped his attention back to her a bit surprised that somebody would want to spend even more money on a person they didn't even know, where sylirians that rich around here?
Not one to refuse free stuff though Jokor just nodded and followed her out of the store and back onto the street.

A Chance Encounter (Jokor)

Postby Jaelyn Baroth on January 26th, 2011, 8:48 pm

Leading the way back out of Stormhold at a brisk pace Jaelyn stayed pretty much quiet during the walk. The mixture of shame, that she hadn't noticed Jokor's bare feet sooner, and embarrassment at the situation that had happened at previous shop pushed any thoughts of conversation far from her mind.

By the time they arrived at All Things Leather she had managed to calm some, and gave a soft smile to Jokor as she purchased him some high boots. Paying the 5 SM to Nabinu for the boots she thanked him, and gave Jokor the time to put on his new footwear. Once the boy was ready to walk again she motioned once more for him to follow her.

"Are you hungry?" she asked over her shoulder as she walked towards The Rearing Stallion, which wasn't terribly far away, "Because I know I could use something to eat," even as she asked though she figured the answer would be yes, judging by what she had seen of him earlier, and so they soon arrived at the entrance to the local Tavern.

A Chance Encounter (Jokor)

Postby Jokor on January 26th, 2011, 9:43 pm

jokor could honestly say that this was one of the better days in his life, he had good clothes that kept him warm, a strong pair of leather boots protecting his feet from the hars cold stones and kept them both dry and warm and the best of all was that he didn't even had to pay for any of all that! So it wasn't a surprise that a small smile was present on Jokor's face.
"Are you hungry?" Jaelyn suddenly asked him looking at him from over her shoulder.
"Because I know I could use something to eat," Jokor's stomach began to growl a bit at the mention of food, it was a while since he ate something and even longer ago that he could eat till he was completely full. So he didn't need a lot of time to think about that.
"Sure, I am starving." he answered his smile widening,as he picked up his pace so that he was walking beside her, eager to get some food in his stomach. As they stood in front off what he thought that looked like a tavern.
"So this is where we are going to eat?"

A Chance Encounter (Jokor)

Seeing Jokor's smile went a long way to helping Jaelyn forget his earlier actions. He was a good person, just had lived in unfortunate circumstances. Now that he was here in Syliras though that could all change.

"Yes," she replied to Jokor's question with a nod and a smile, "I come here sometimes for lunch," leading the way inside she picked an empty table and sat down, motioning for Jokor to take the other seat, "It will take a little time until the food arrives, so would you mind if I ask you some questions?"

She gave a pleasant smile to Jokor, hoping that he wouldn't find her question to be prying. She was mostly just curious about his past, where he had come from and what he was doing in Syliras.

As soon as they entered the tavern Jokor's nose was assaulted by the smell of good hot food, immediately Jokor's mouth began to water at the prospect of eating a good hot meal once and not something thing that he picked out of the trash again.
Jokor shrugged as jaelyn asked if she could ask him some questions until the food arrived. though he silently hoped that it didn't take to long.
"I don't mind," He pulled back the chair and sat down, making himself comfortable, on the chair, trying not to drool at the smells that where hanging in the tavern. "what do you wanna ask about anyway? Not much interesting about me."
