8th Bell
Like most days in Ravok, today started with a stirring breeze and a beautiful sunrise. There was a growing number of people on the platforms and in the canals as the majority of Ravokians set about on their tasks. Many people went to work, utilizing the magnificent public tranportation system of ravosalas to get from one point to another. The colorful personalities of the drivers -sometimes called polers- always added a bit of unexpected flare to one's routine. Shop doors were opened, carts were uncovered and goods were tended to so that each and every dislay was primed for attracting the right buyer.
One person commented on the clear sky and another agreed but then both would look again and strain against the rising light of Syna as a wispy shadow appeared. on the horizon. Chimes passed and the shae grew larger and darker. Within half a bell, the wisp presented as a massive flock of birds racing along the warmer than usual air currents. Many different birds made their homes in or around Ravok so the appearance was not out of the ordinary. However, the sheer size of this flock was enough to make many who ignored such things take notice. As they drove closer and closer to the city, observers noted a wide array of species. There was everything from small birds like ducks and pipers to the larger groups like herons and pelicans.
9th Bell
The first to notice the second strange phenomenon were the fisherman. Away from the docks, the encroaching flock of birdswas accompanied by a huge shadow in the water that nearly mimicked the size. Whisers and tales began to fly about as speculation and imagination ran wild. As both groups neared the city, something incredible happened. The birds dipped down from the sky towards the city and even flew inbetween buildings. Their talons clutched eggs and as they swept over the citizens, the payloads were released. At the same time, the shadow in the water erupted as hundreds of fish lept from the water- al with stones in their mouths. They, too, unloaded their burdens upon the population of the floating city.
Some eggs burst, some were solid and some were beautifully decorated. The same was discovered about the stones. Some of them were husks that turned to a sticky powder when caught while others were just rocks and yet some were jewels. The city stopped and gathered in the open areas on the platforms, balconies and on boats to receive the bounty of nature. Laughter and a carefree mod settled down upon the warming body of Ravok. Shouts and songs of praise were lifted to Rhysol for his benevolence, his kindness and his perfect love.
