Dreams have the power to alter minds and shake up lives. Oftentimes revealing what has been hidden, they can be sweet or they can terrorize. In this case, a dream leads a soul on a quest for ruins and treasure in the dangerous jungle of Syka. One must be careful, however, for all is rarely as it seems.
Woven together in a way that is almost poetic, Merevaika tells the story of when a dream takes control of a mind no longer asleep. Desire for something she wants leads the Drykas into the jungle of Syka where danger lurks beneath every step and where not paying attention might just cost one their soul. Laced with mystery and intrigue, Merevaika tells her tale in vivid detail of what following one’s dreams can lead to and how the ending is not always happy. There is not always gold to be found in the jungle and it is not usually smart to leave behind one’s weapon of choice. Sometimes a dream is just a dream no matter how real it may seem.
Told in a way that had me hooked from beginning to end, I have chosen this thread because of the way Merevaika’s plight gripped my soul. The dream she has is so vivid, so real, that it must be the path to must take to find what she seeks. Yet, that is not often how things work, and so the story becomes about something more than just finding ruins full of treasure. It becomes a lesson learned and an adventure not soon forgotten. It is a thread that I believe well worth the time of anyone looking for something to read and I do hope you all enjoy.
